Dr. Penfield received his dental degree at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and his Bachelor's at Brigham Young University, majoring in Spanish and Zoology. He has since received continued training on implants, cosmetics, lasers, three-dimensional radiology, sedation, invisible braces, as well as other aspects of dentistry. James has flown around the world to train with some of the best dental professionals. He is a member of the ADA, AGD, Sustaining member of the AACD, he also studies at the prestigious KOIS center and Masterships at the ICOI. A member of Crown Council and Richardson Group Coaching. Dr Penfield and his team keep their knowledge up to date in the most advanced procedures and technologies and most important, they LOVE taking care of you and your family!
Dr. Penfield is an easy going and fun loving guy who grew up working in his fathers lumber business and also worked as a scuba instructor while in dental school. Overcoming cancer at a young age developed him into a caring and understanding Individual with a high respect for quality of life and how he can improve it for others.
Dr. Kyra Holt was born in Canada but grew up mostly in the great state of Texas. She earned her D.D.S. degree from The University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. During dental school, Dr. Holt enjoyed being an active member of many student organizations and served as student chapter president of the Texas Association of Women Dentists. As a result of her leadership, she was awarded the Outstanding Female Dental Student award. Dr. Holt was also honored with the senior award in Esthetic Dentistry, for which she has a special passion.
Her dental interests include educating patients about their oral health, preventing oral diseases, and making her patients proud to smile. Dr. Holt's philosophy of care centers on delivering high-quality treatment that both she and her patients can feel great about.
Dr. Cady attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, receiving his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry. Following this he completed the 2.5 year program at the University of Missouri in Kansas City for post-doctorate studies / residency with specialization in Periodontics.

I use to fear the dentist like most people do. I had horrible experiences before I came to Legacy Dental Arts. I can say that in all the years I've come here that I've never had a bad visit. They even helped when I cracked a tooth on vacation and had an appt waiting for my emergency crown the Monday after I came home. That's going above and beyond for a client. They always go out of their way to calm my jitters about the drills and the whole process when I need a filling. Part dentist / part psychologist I say. I won't go anywhere else

Horrible experience. 45 minutes after being numbed and left in a room by myself I decided to leave and find another dentist. The only work I had done here at a previous appointment left me in more pain and discomfort than when I arrived. I was going to give them another chance since the previous tooth was difficult to work on, but I have never experienced a lack of care like I did here today. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Every time I get my teeth cleaned I am impressed by Jennifer Midlo and Dr Penfield. The customer service is so wonderful! Both are very efficient, competent and make me feel like a valued patient!

Wonderful experience at legacy dental arts my teeth cleaning by hygienist Ms. Jenn and was able to relax and watch a movie appreciated the overall appointment and care given.

My first visit with Legacy Dental Arts was one of the best dental experiences I've had in my adult years. They were friendly and very, very informative. They took all possible safety precautions in accordance with all that has been going on with Covid-19. I am looking forward to seeing them for all of my dental health needs.

I like coming here because they do a great job of cleaning and x-rating my teeth, they bill insurance and they are very knowledgeable about treatments I need to solve my dental problems. Plus, they are really nice!

I was anticipating a typical painful experience with my first appt here. They asked if I had any anxiety associated with dental work. The dental assistant was caring and amazing made me feel welcomed and calmed my anxiety. The Dr was great and informative of my options. I had little to no pain with my visit. I trust him fully to work on my children. This experience has changed my view on dental work. Was an amazing experience!
