With orthodontics as a profession, I never stop learning. There are constant technological changes, and opportunities to collaborate and learn with and from other oral healthcare professionals, so the field is dynamic and challenging. I love that I can customize care to address each patients unique orthodontic needs, and create a smile that is both healthy and beautiful.
Being an orthodontist is incredibly rewarding. I am able to make remarkable changes in my patients lives, which will profoundly and positively impact their lives. Not only will they have an amazing smile, but they will have better oral health, as well.
As a native San Franciscan, I enjoy being part of our community. I like meeting, getting to know, and caring for our diverse population. Its a great feeling to see my patients and their families around town, and be greeted by their confident, beautiful smiles.
Dr. Lee pursued his pre-dental education at the University of San Francisco. He then proceeded to the University of California San Francisco as a Regents Scholar and graduated at the top of his class. He was the first recipient of the Francis Sooy Chancellors Cup, awarded to the most outstanding graduating student as voted by faculty and students.
After dental school, he continued at UCSF to receive his Certificate in Orthodontics. Since his graduation from UCSF, Dr. Lee has been on the faculty and currently serves as a clinical professor. While the majority of his time has been devoted to his private practice and caring for his clients, Dr. Lee has also published in journals, and lectured on orthodontic topics.
Dr. Lee is an active member of several study clubs, including the Norcal Orthodontic Study Club, the Seattle Study Club, and the UCSF Interdisciplinary Study Club. This allows him to collaborate on cases, exchange ideas, and learn from and with other dental professionals.
Desiring to remain at the leading-edge of treatments and the latest advancements in orthodontics, Dr. Lee exceeds the state-mandated continuing education requirements. This ensures he is able to offer his patients the best current treatment options.
Dr. Lee has treated over 1500 cases with clear aligner therapy and has over 15 years of experience providing Invisalign. He was one of the early adopters of Invisalign, in 1999, and is a Top 1% Diamond PlusInvisalign Provider.
Dr. Lee was born, raised, and educated in San Francisco. When hes not working, Dr. Lee is often found spending time with his wife, Denise, and daughter, Sammy. He loves traveling with themand his camera. He also enjoys playing tennis, running, and photography.
For the past 30 years, I have been proud to continue a legacy of serving the San Francisco community as a second-generation orthodontist. Creating beautiful smiles and having the opportunity to change patients lives for the better are my lifes passions.
Dr. Young completed his pre-dental education at the University of California at Davis, graduating with the highest honors. He then attended the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry, graduating at the top of his class of 108, and went on to complete his Orthodontic Specialty program at UCSF.
After completing his dental and orthodontic education, Dr. Young joined his father in private practice and was a part-time instructor at UCSF Department of Orthodontics for five years. He practiced with his dad until 1989 and it was a time of extraordinary professional and personal growth.
Advanced dental education and continuing to add to his knowledge of orthodontics is of the highest priority for Dr. Young. Each year, he exceeds the continuing education requirements and is recognized by Invisalign as a Platinum Invisalign Provider and Teen Provider.
Dr. Young stays on the leading-edge of advances in orthodontics by collaborating in multidisciplinary study clubs such as Frank Spear and using the most advanced types of braces, Invisalign, and other appliances.
In addition to his commitment to outstanding patient care, Dr. Young equally enjoys giving back to the profession and community. He has served at all levels in the San Francisco Dental Society, including as President, and has served on faculty at UCSF. Additionally, he has served as a Delegate to the California Dental Association, as a Board Member of the California Society of Dentistry for Children, and with the Red Cross.
I love creating smiles and, in the process, creating lasting relationships with each person in my care. Its rewarding to spend time with someone on thejourney to a better smile, improved oral and overall health, and stronger confidence. Throughout treatment, we get to know each other and I enjoy seeing my patients grow as their self-esteem blossoms.
I was drawn to orthodontics as a way to give back to the community, to my community. Health is wealth, and healthy teeth along with a beautiful smile are crucial for ones personal and professional success.

Dr. Ubaldo, a San Francisco native, completed her dental degree at the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry. She was then accepted into the Orthodontics program at the University of Washington, where she completed her Masters degree and rigorous specialty training in orthodontics.
Seeking to provide her patients with the best treatment options and care possible, Dr. Ubaldo stays up-to-date on new techniques and advanced technologies. Each year she completes many hours of continuing orthodontic education, attending seminars, sessions, and taking a range of advanced post-graduate courses.
Dr. Ubaldo values spending time with her husband, Dominic, and young son, Donovan. She loves being a new mom and enjoys seeing her son grow up with his six cousins. She enjoys traveling and exploring new places with her family, dancing, and singing karaoke.

My son's pediatrician recommended this practice to me, he said, " My daughters saw Dr. Young when they were kids, one of my daughter was upset because she has to wear retainer the rest of her life. But she got perfect teeth after the treatment." My son had crooked teeth since he was born, and we took his oral health seriously because myself didn't get proper oral care when I was kid and the crowded teeth twisted my face/jaw shape to a bad direction. And now I have to pay thousands of dollars, significant efforts to treat my unaligned teeth for functionality as well as cosmetics. So my son started his orthodontics care, seeing Dr. Young, when he was 9 month. Then, once or twice a year every year for the ortho evaluation. After Dr. Young retired during COVID-19 Pandemic, he continued seeing Dr. Ubaldo. Now he is almost ten, so far he hasn't need any treatment yet. We don't worry his teeth might ruin his look, because we know that he has been in a good hand for the orthodontics care. I have to mention, all these years of office consultation, X-Rays are free of charge. The practice only charges when the patients start treatment. The philosophy of both Dr. Young and Dr. Ubaldo is that let Nature takes its time first before any intervention kicks in. The doctor takes time to explain what's going on and answer questions, never rushes us. I view Lee, Young & Ubaldo Orthodontics an upright clinic, which is friendly to the community, and provides outstanding care to it's patients. Highly Recommended!!

I've had the pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Young and Dr. Ubaldo since ~2008 thru 2017. Ever since I first started my treatment - to this very day, everyone here has continued to be the friendliest, kindest, and most professional people I have met. Following a 5-year hiatus, I returned in 2022 to get a replacement retainer and was greeted as if no time passed, as if we were family simply catching up with one another. This place feels like home because everyone here has seen me grow the past 14+ years, and I am forever grateful for everyone there. Thank you Dr. Young and Dr. Ubaldo for the amazing work you both have done for my teeth. If I had a dollar for every time someone's complimented me on my smile, I'd be able to retire early, and it'd be all thanks to you two :)

What a fantastic orthodontist clinic. I had invisalign for almost a year and a half and they were so excellent throughout the entire process. I especially appreciated that they let me pay over 2 years so it could all be from my FSA. Can't recommend them enough if you live in SF!! this is the place to go!

The staff are extremely helpful and flexible. Elizabeth was friendly and answered all of my questions. The appointments were never late and always efficient. The Invisalign process itself was smooth and transparent. I only had minor changes but I'm very happy with the results and would absolutely recommend Lee and young to friends and family!

I had a great experience with Dr.Ubaldo at the clement office. I was very skeptical if Invisalign would work for me especially with a bad braces experiences but I am over the moon. The entire experience has been incredible and I love the results. Would highly recommend Dr.Ubaldo and the team.

I had went through Lee and Young for 7 years. I had expanders, braces and finally expanders and throughout my entire journey they took care of me and wanted the best for me. My back molars were a bit jammed which took a long time, however I always felt I could trust the staff to achieve what was best for me

Dr. Ubaldo changed my life. I've been insecure about my smile for the past decade, even after completing braces as a teenager. My dentist referred me to the Clement street office and I could not be happier with my experience and outcome with Invisalign with Dr. Ubaldo. From the start, Dr. Ubaldo was incredibly empathetic toward my situation, she listened and weighed out several options for me to consider without being pushy. I ended up landing on an invisalign plan that transformed my bite in a way that prior to talking to her, I didn't think was going to be possible. I just finished the process last week and it truly feels like the beginning of a new and improved life. I already feel more confident, secure and happy with myself and Dr. Ubaldo played a huge part in making that happen. If you're considering transforming your smile, especially as a young adult, then I cannot recommend this office or Dr. Ubaldo enough - thank you!
