Dr. Michael Lee was born in Chicago, but has lived in Joliet since 1965. He is a graduate of Joliet West High School (1972), The University of Iowa (1976), and Loyola School of Dentistry (1981). He started in private practice with Dr. Peter Nichols in July of 1981, became a partner in 1982 and became the sole owner in 1989. Dr. Lee was recognized in 2008 as one of the Chicago areas top dentists by the Chicago Consumer Checkbook magazine.
He is a member of the American Dental Association as well as the Illinois and Will County Dental Societies. He is past President of the Easter Seal Society of Will Grundy and was one of the Co-Chairman of the campaign that led to the construction of The Easter Seal Center on Barney Drive.
He lives in Joliet with his wife of 39 years Susan, where they are members of The First Presbyterian Church and are involved with numerous civic organizations, including the YMCA, the Holly Club and the Morningstar Mission. They have three children. Michael Jr, an engineer with Exelon Nuclear; Christina, program director for the Joliet Area YMCA; and Melissa, a teacher for the Joliet Public Schools.They all enjoy travelling, scuba diving and GOLF!
Dr. Paul Vercellotti was born and raised in Joliet. He attended St. Paul the Apostle grade school (1978). Joliet Catholic High School (1982). The University of Iowa (1985) and The University of Iowa School of Dentistry (1989). He started in private practice with Dr. Peter Nichols and Dr. Michael Lee in August 1989. He became a partner in 2000.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Will County Dental Society. He has served many roles including delegate to ISDS, Trustee for the Northeast District of ISDS (2007-2010) and Board of Directors Will County Dental Society for 17 years.
He lives in Shorewood with his wife of 25 years Becky who has taught preschool at the Joliet Park District Sunshine and Rainbows program for the last 15 years. They have two sons, Cody a software Engineer for RSA Securities in Boston Mass. and Jack who attends the Bridge High School and works at Marianos.
