Dr. Kyu J Lee received his dental education from the Tufts University in the state of Massachusetts. After earning his DMD, Dr Lee entered into dental practice in Newport News before establishing his own practice in Mechaniscville, VA.
Dr Lee is dedicated to taking care of the dental health of families in the area with the high-quality care and comfortable fashion that patients expect. He believes that good oral hygiene is the key to a gorgeous/lovely smile.
Dr. Chitti Mengji was born and raised in India, where she earned her dental degree after five years of dental school at the Rajiv Gandhi University in 2008. Thereafter she entered into private practice as a General Dentist in Bangalore for 3 years. She moved to the United States, and completed a three-year International Dental Program at Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her DDS degree. While at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, Dr. Mengji was chosen as a Senior Teaching Assistant, teaching second year dental students the skills necessary to become competent dentists. Dr. Mengji enjoys comprehensive dentistry and educating patients with the knowledge needed to maintain their beautiful smiles.
Dr Mengji traveled to Honduras to provide dental care to underserved populations. Also, volunteered through the Virginia Dental Associations Mission of Mercy Projects, and enjoyed serving multiple free clinics around the Commonwealth during her senior year of Dental School. She feels a responsibility to serve the underserved population and to provide dental care with respect and compassion. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association.
Dr. Shilpi Gupta is a general dentist. Born and raised in India, she received her first dental degree and worked there as a dentist before moving to the USA to pursue further education in dentistry. She subsequently received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia and has been a practicing general dentist since then.
Before and during dental school, she volunteered her time for the Mission of Mercy (MoM) and Give Kids a Smile (GKaS) Projects. She also spent time at the University of Maryland dental school performing endodontics research.
Dr. Guptas interests lie in general dentistry as she enjoys the entirety of her patients treatment process. Her goal is to educate patients as she believes that the needs of each patient are different and that there are no cookie-cutter treatment options. In the age of evidence-based dentistry, she keeps herself updated through continuing education courses and believes that being a lifelong learner ensures that her patients get the most current treatment and technology applications.
Dr. Gupta is a member of the American and Virginia Dental Association. Shes married to a doctor, lives in Richmond, and is a mom to two charming kids. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, watching movies and spending time with friends and family.

I ha e been twice and both times I have had teeth pulled and she did such a GREAT job I couldn't even tell she was finished and on top of that the first visit I was I terrible pain and they got me in right away and they take medicate on top of it.

I received five star service from Dr. Gupta. However, I recieved half star service from her assistant. Her assistant left the room and returned without changing her gloves. She touched the chair arm then proceeded to touch my son's mouth without changing her gloves. I asked the assistant did she clean the chair arm after every patient, because she put her hand in his mouth after touching the chair. She changed her gloves after I commented on her actions. Practicing good hygiene is paramount in preventing the spread of diseases. Potentially exposing patients to diseases is unacceptable.

I have been going to Lee's for as long as I can remember. And every experience has been a good one. The nurses are nice, the wait isn't long, and the treatment is also good.

We recommend all our employees, their families, and any friends or customers to Lee family dentistry. Their office is spotless, equipment is in great condition, the staff is so much fun, Dr. Lee, Dr. Mengji, Lyka, this place rocks. If you have to see a dentist, and none of us want to, see this place, very modern. A house band and cocktails is the only way this gets any better.....just go, do it for your teeth....

Great place, went in with an infection and wanted to get an extraction done. Dr. Menji talked me into saving my tooth with a root canal. She was very professional and made the procedure painless as possible.

Love this family dentistry! Both doctors are wonderful and I'm happy when I see either one. I also love all of the hygienists I work mostly with Jodie but all the others I've had have been wonderful as well!

I have been going to Lee Family Dentistry for several years now. Dr Lee is very kind and understanding of my health problems and works with me offered to refer to another dentist to b put to sleep to have tooth pulled if i preferred instead of numbed. Always very nice bedside manner.

I have been going to Dr. Lee for years and he and his team are great. Dr. Lee is great at what he does and has a great bedside manner, always makes me laugh. Elvira (sp.) is so awesome and keeps everything straight.

Very serious dental care. I had great pain when I came there and some bad dental problems. They have been fixed and the terrible pain I had is gone. It has been months after visiting other dentist before I could finally be healed. What we ask from a dentist : stepping out of pain and good work!!

My family has been with Dr. Lee for many years. Anytime we have an emergency we are fit in that day. Dr.lee is very knowledgeable and has always made my children feel very comfortable and relaxed while in the chair. I highly recommend this practice great people and very clean office.

I have been going to Lee Family Dentistry for all of my dental needs/care for almost 4 years now. I used to be very anxious, nervous and honestly even a little scared/fearful of dentists previously and this has all changed for the best! Dr. Kyu Lee DMD, PC has made such an exceptional difference with me and all of dental care needs with his amazing bedside manners!! The entire staff at Lee Family Dentisty is very kind, respectful, professional and accommodating!
