Being a dentist means I am fighting disease, helping people get healthy, and improving the way they feel about themselves. I am both increasing the enjoyment they get from life and benefiting society at the same time. Thats very rewarding.
Its essential my patients and I develop a strong bond, based on mutual trust and respect. They need to know I am here to serve and help them, and that I will always do my best to make sure their dental health is at optimal levels. I strive to develop a rapport with people starting with their first visit, and then strengthening that each time they are here. Talking with patients, and hearing their life stories, is always fascinating, and I love the friendships that naturally develop.
I attended both the University of Louisville in Kentucky and the Health and Science Center in San Antonio, TX, and have a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD). Ive been practicing dentistry since 2003, and love being a field where my mind is constantly challenged. There are ongoing developments in dental treatment processes and technology, and I endeavor to stay at the leading edge of knowledge in these areas.
By pursuing continuing education (CE), I ensure my patients continue to receive the best care and treatment options available. Particular areas of CE that Ive sought out include dental implants, CAD / CAM dentistry, dental surgery, IV sedation, and cosmetic dentistry.
Im a native of Seoul, South Korea. Now I live in Bellingham, with my wife and three children. When Im not caring for my patients, my family is my top priority. I also enjoy biking the local trails, and playing tennis and soccer, then sitting down to some excellent Korean food. Im passionate about teaching and education, so I translate books from English to Korean, as well as teachancient history.
Dr. Kevin Yuan is a native of Union City, California. He attended undergraduate school at the University of California, Berkeley where he majored in Public Health, before heading east to attend dental school at Temple University, Kornberg School of Dentistry, where he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. After experience the East Coast, along with its seasonal weather, Dr. Yuan is back on the West Coast to practice dentistry. On his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, travelling and hanging out with friends and family. He is also placing a greater emphasis on re-learning Mandarin Chinese!
Dr. Yuans mission is to provide excellent comprehensive dental services to help achieve the highest level of dental health serviceable for patients needs, while at the same time, develop trust and positive long-term relationships. He is passionate about dentistry and avid on enhancing his knowledge to advances in care and new developments in dental technology.

I love helpingpeople feel better. Whether Im explaining a complicated treatment plan in an easy-to-understand manner, or helping a person understand their insurance benefits, Im making things easier for them. As a former dental assistant, I understand patients concerns and work to make sure everything is clear for them. I oversee the running of the office, from scheduling to insurance billing, and everything in between.
I love showing patients that being at our dental office can be a fun, enjoyable experience. Its important that each person knows we provide gentle, painless care, and that this is a safe space. When a patient learns its okay to relax here, then we can really help them develop great oral health. I provide chairside assistance to Dr. Lee, making sure he has everything he needs and supporting the patient during their procedure.
My work allows me to meet wonderful people from our community, and provide them with quality care that improves their lives. As I clean a patients teeth, provide periodontal therapy, and assess their restorative needs, I talk with them about dental hygiene and their lifestyle. The more I learn about their life, the better I can assist the person with home care recommendations and developing better habits, so they can enjoy a great smile for a lifetime.
Its a pleasure to meet and get to know people, building good relationships with them. I do everything I can to so to it they have the best possible experience during their visits, and am always glad to answer their questions or just chat. My job involves assisting Dr. Lee during dental procedures. I sit chairside, providing him with support, but concentrating on our patients comfort. I check to make sure the person is relaxed, and keep them updated on what were doing.
A successful practice doesn't just happen; it is the result of a strong commitment to excellence in the professional community and in the relationships we build with our patients and colleagues. Got a root canal. Cost over 2k. After it hurt. For months. Couldn't eat on it. Kept telling them and was told all is good. Eventually they said nope there's an infection we have to remove the tooth you paid 2k to fix. Free of charge. So I lose that expensive tooth then a month later I get a bill for them removing it? Also I had all cavities fixed on the left side of my mouth, top and bottom. When I left I had a new hurting tooth on the side that has "no cavities" Everytime I floss I feel nerve pain. Pretty sure they chipped a tooth or damaged it somehow. A tooth that never hurt before in my life. They seem to not truly care about your teeth. It's just a routine and schedule get you in and out. It's not about your health, or great teeth it's just their job.

I had work done in about February of 2020 getting a few cavities filled, I had to go back immediately after due to the teeth not being adjusted properly. After the first time I went to get my teeth adjusted I had to keep going back WEEKLY to have Dr.Lee try and fix them. I went every week for about 4-6 months and still wasn't able to fix whatever he did. Do not go here unless you want to waste your time and be in pain.

This happened a few years back but the experience was so horrible, awful and appallingly bad it is still burned into my mind. I have severe Dental anxiety and I need generic Xanax for dental visits. The office complied with my request until one day I had an office visit and they didn't call in the 2 Xanax the day before. I called them the day of the appointment and asked for a couple of Xanax and they said they can only call in one. I merely stated that one didn't help with my anxiety. After I expressed this Jasmine at the front desk accused me of being rude. They dropped the ball and then accused me of being rude! I let this go until about a year or so later it happened again. They forgot to call in the medication the day before and once again I called them the day of the visit and they said they could only call in one. When I merely expressed again that one didn't help me with the anxiety this time Jasmine accused me of being angry. I did raise my voice a little bit and said do you want to hear angry. Then I was told they didn't want me for a patient. Jasmine was extraordinarily vituperative, egregious and combative. I've never been treated so unprofessionally by anybody! Stay away from these people!

Dr Lee is very gentle, I hardly felt the injection for Novocaine. He quickly and painlessly performed the procedure and I was out the door before I knew it. Staff is very friendly and professional. I am quite fearful of dental work so my nervousness causes abit of bumble-headedness on my part. They were very kind. I will definitely recommend Dr Lee to friends and family.

I went in 2 separate times. Both times I went I was treated with respect and my dental work was top quality. I was able to reach out to Dr Lee afterwards when I had questions and concerns and he made sure I was not in danger or pain. My long term head aches that I had for 2 years are gone and I am so thankful to be living without them. The staff was very kind and had great attitudes. They are a rare group of people.

I was looking for a new dentist and I found one. They are absolutely welcoming, and kind. I couldn't be more happy. They were able to get my 4 wisdom teeth done quick and easy. They are fantastic for a dentistry. I would recommend them to anyone! Great service!
