I attended both the University of Louisville in Kentucky and the Health and Science Center in San Antonio, TX, and have a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD). Ive been practicing dentistry since 2003, and love being a field where my mind is constantly challenged. There are ongoing developments in dental treatment processes and technology, and I endeavor to stay at the leading edge of knowledge in these areas.
By pursuing continuing education (CE), I ensure my patients continue to receive the best care and treatment options available. Particular areas of CE that Ive sought out include dental implants, CAD / CAM dentistry, dental surgery, IV sedation, and cosmetic dentistry.
Im a native of Seoul, South Korea. Now I live in Bellingham, with my wife and three children. When Im not caring for my patients, my family is my top priority. I also enjoy biking the local trails, and playing tennis and soccer, then sitting down to some excellent Korean food. Im passionate about teaching and education, so I translate books from English to Korean, as well as teachancient history.
Dr. Kevin Yuan is a native of Union City, California. He attended undergraduate school at the University of California, Berkeley where he majored in Public Health, before heading east to attend dental school at Temple University, Kornberg School of Dentistry, where he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. After experience the East Coast, along with its seasonal weather, Dr. Yuan is back on the West Coast to practice dentistry. On his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, travelling and hanging out with friends and family. He is also placing a greater emphasis on re-learning Mandarin Chinese!
Dr. Yuans mission is to provide excellent comprehensive dental services to help achieve the highest level of dental health serviceable for patients needs, while at the same time, develop trust and positive long-term relationships. He is passionate about dentistry and avid on enhancing his knowledge to advances in care and new developments in dental technology.

I love helpingpeople feel better. Whether Im explaining a complicated treatment plan in an easy-to-understand manner, or helping a person understand their insurance benefits, Im making things easier for them. As a former dental assistant, I understand patients concerns and work to make sure everything is clear for them. I oversee the running of the office, from scheduling to insurance billing, and everything in between.
I love showing patients that being at our dental office can be a fun, enjoyable experience. Its important that each person knows we provide gentle, painless care, and that this is a safe space. When a patient learns its okay to relax here, then we can really help them develop great oral health. I provide chairside assistance to Dr. Lee, making sure he has everything he needs and supporting the patient during their procedure.
My work allows me to meet wonderful people from our community, and provide them with quality care that improves their lives. As I clean a patients teeth, provide periodontal therapy, and assess their restorative needs, I talk with them about dental hygiene and their lifestyle. The more I learn about their life, the better I can assist the person with home care recommendations and developing better habits, so they can enjoy a great smile for a lifetime.
Its a pleasure to meet and get to know people, building good relationships with them. I do everything I can to so to it they have the best possible experience during their visits, and am always glad to answer their questions or just chat. My job involves assisting Dr. Lee during dental procedures. I sit chairside, providing him with support, but concentrating on our patients comfort. I check to make sure the person is relaxed, and keep them updated on what were doing.
