Dr. Christal is born and raised in San Antonio. She received her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University, College Station, and moved back to complete her dental training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She has completed over 500 hours of continuing dental education and is committed to staying in touch with the latest and greatest techniques and materials available for her patients. She has additional training in both implant dentistry and orthodontics. Outside of work she and her husband Jeff stay busy with their two boys who attend Geneva School of Boerne. Dr. Christal enjoys reading, writing, traveling , and has a fun and relatively useless talent for remembering all song lyrics.

Dr. Powell was born and raised in San Antonio. She played NCAA tennis for Texas A&M University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biomedical Science. She then completed her dental training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She has completed over 200 hours of CE in courses ranging from clear aligners to implants to snoring and sleep apnea. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, San Antonio District Dental Society, and the American Academy of Dental Group Practice.

Dr. Powell and her family are members and attend Currey Creek Church. She has been married for 12 years and has three boys, Luke, Logan, and Landon. Dr. Powell enjoys the beach, exercising, traveling, and of course, Starbucks.

My favorite part of being a dentist is getting to know my patients and their families. Im blessed to see many families from the grandkids to the grandparents. There are many people that are a little nervous about coming to the dentist. I have a great team and together we can make the most nervous patient feel comfortable going to the dentist and even start enjoying it! I enjoy all aspects of dentistry. One of my favorite procedures is Clear Correct orthodontic aligners because they help straighten teeth and give people confidence in their smile again. Dr. Jennifer Quintanilla was raised in the historically rich Brownsville, Texas. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. Following her undergraduate degree, she completed her dental training at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio Dental School. Dr. Quintanilla has received additional training in enteral conscious sedation and Invisalign and has a wealth of experience with implant dentistry ranging from single implant restorations to all-on-four implant retained dentures.

Outside of work Dr. Quintanilla has fun watching movies, playing tennis, and baking. She and her husband Sergio enjoy outdoor activities like riding their bikes up and down the Leon Creek and Mission trails, walking their fur baby Charlie and trying new local restaurants.

Dr. Quintanilla also enjoys giving back to the community by being involved in organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Texas Mission of Mercy Texas Dental Association Smiles Foundation. Dr. Quintanilla looks forward to meeting and providing your entire family with the latest and most advanced dental care to date.

She started from humble beginnings and has a passion for volunteering and serving her community of San Antonio. She is the first in her family to obtain a Bachelor's degree and Doctorate. She graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio and received her DDS degree from the University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio with a Distinction in Dental Education.

Dr. Huff is passionate about serving her patients and seeks to treat each patient as if they were a member of her own family. She is a current member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentists, Texas Dental Association, San Antonio District Dental Society, and Christian Medical and Dental Association. These memberships allow Dr. Huff to attend several continuing education opportunities that provide her with the most up-to-date information and treatment options for her patients.

Dr. Huff values time with her family and volunteering. On her vacation time, you can catch her walking her two fluffy dogs (Luke and Leia) with her husband Garrett, wakeboarding, or checking out a new local restaurant.

Dr. Subha Pruthi moved to San Antonio from Winnipeg, Canada in 2016. She completed her undergraduate training at the University of Winnipeg with a bachelors degree in biology. She went on to complete her dental training at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Dentistry with Honors. Following dental school, she pursued further training in oral sedation and nitrous oxide, as well as Invisalign. She has completed over 150 hours of continuing education and prides herself in learning new skills from experts in the field. Before joining Lee Dental, Dr. Pruthi worked in a family practice where she treated a multitude of patients and their families. She practices with the philosophy that every patient should be comfortable and confident in the care they receive.

When she is not chasing after her son and daughter, Dr. Pruthi practices yoga and meditation. She also enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and cooking different types of cuisine. As her husband Deepak will attest, she is a self-proclaimed expert when it comes to talking. Just try her, and you wont be disappointed!

Dr. Sue Yun received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Texas in Austin. She then pursued her dental training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Yun joined our team of San Antonio dentists at Lee Dental Centers in 1996. She has completed over 150 hours of continuing dental education, in order to stay informed of the fast-paced changes in dentistry that improve patient care.

She was born and raised in San Antonio and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from St. Marys University. She completed her dental school training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Donowho completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at UT Dentistry San Antonio. This program allowed her to grow in her skills as a general dentist while also learning to place dental implants and becoming certified in moderate sedation techniques.

Outside of the office, Dr. Donowho enjoys traveling with friends, reading novels, listening to podcasts, and skiing at her familys home in the mountains of Colorado. She and her husband Mitch have two rescue dogs, Hashbrown and Murray, who keep them active and entertained.

Dr. John Rodriguez was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated fromHarlandale High School 1974. Dr. Rodriguez received his bachelors degree in Biology fromthe University of Texas at Austin in 1979 and received his DDS from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1985. He worked as an associate dentist at apractice in San Antonio for 2 years before opening his own practice in 1987. He servedpatients there until 2011 when he sold his practice and moved to the valley.

He has served patients in the Beeville, Edinburg, and McAllen communities for over 10 years. He is proficient in root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and restorative dentistry. Over the course of a long career, Dr. Rodriguez has provided general dental care to patients aging from 3 months to the elderly. He is proficient in all phases of general dentistry. While in Edinburg, he worked mostly on preparing elderly patients for dentures and partial dentures.

Get to Know Dr. NajafiDr. Babak Najafi is a Board-Certified Periodontist with over 10 years of experience in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. After practicing general dentistry for several years, he realized his passion was the specialized field of Periodontics. He earned his Certificate in Periodontics and Masters Degree (MDS) from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine with honors. Dr. Najafi is also a certified LANAP clinician after receiving his certificate in Laser Dentistry from the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry.

As a Fellow-Elect in the Royal College of Dentists RCD(C), his scientific presentations in local and international dental meetings show his commitment to cutting-edge dentistry. As an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Rutgers University, he has published several articles on periodontal regenerative procedures (bone and gum grafting), dental implants, smile design and minimally-invasive dentistry, and serves as Ad-Hoc reviewer for Journal of Periodontology, the Official Publication of American Academy of Periodontology.

He is an active member of San Antonio District Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Dental Association, Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry, and Southwest Society of Periodontists.

As his friends say, Dr Najafi has dentistry in his blood. His father, uncle, brother, and wife are all dentists as well. Aside from his passion in dentistry, he is an avid reader, history buff, and a big Spurs fan! If not in the office, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, hiking, tubing, and reading books.

Born and raised in San Antonio, Dr. Owen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Owen attended Texas A&M University where she graduated summa cum laude with degrees in chemistry and biochemistry. She then completed both her dental training and her orthodontic residency at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. Dr. Owen is dedicated to creating beautiful smiles by staying up to date on the latest advances in orthodontics while providing compassionate patient-centered care. Before joining Lee Dental, Dr. Owen practiced orthodontics in Chicago for several years where she finally learned to love baseball as a Cubs fan.

Born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX,Dr. Tucker DDSis a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a contrubiuting author of multiple publications. After attending Texas A&M University, he accepted an Army Health Professions Scholarship and graduated Cum Laude from University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School. Dr. Tuckers military career began in 2004 when he was commissioned as a Captain in the US Army. From 2009-2012, he served as Officer in Charge and Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Ford Benning, GA. From 2012-2015, he served as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Research, US Army Institute of Surgical Research, and currently serves as staff surgeon and residency mentor for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residents in the Combined Military San Antonio Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program.

Dr. Zhangrui (Zac) Liang obtained his Endodontics certificate from University of California Los Angeles, School of Dentistry (UCLA). During his years in dental school, Dr. Liang found great passion in bringing instant relief to patients in pain, while saving their natural teeth. After graduating with national honors in 2013 in China, Dr. Liang moved to California to pursue specialized clinical training in Endodontics, during which time he also completed a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology. His research project was to develop a pulp tissue grafting technique for regenerative endodontics saving immature teeth of children by engineering dental pulp from stem cells of their own. Dr. Liang was also involved in a clinical trial using Nanodiamond coated root canal filling material to deliver anti-microbial agents directly into the canals, potentially increasing the treatment outcome of endodontic therapy. Because of his endeavor in endodontic research, Dr. Liang received the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) resident award, scoring among the top ten oral presentations at the AAE17 annual meeting.

Dr. Liang is an avid snowboarder, competitive swimmer and aspiring chef. Grateful for acquainting a fantastic group of people in the United States, Dr. Liang makes sure to connect and care for all his patients in a friendly and gentle way.

Sarah was born and raised in Leon Springs. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She is a member of American Dental Hygienists Association, Texas Dental Hygienists Association, and San Antonio District Dental Hygienists Association.

I am passionate about patient-centered care. Its important to me that I tailor all preventive recommendations to best fit my patients needs in order to provide a holistic experience. I enjoy the opportunity to turn anxious patients into patients who grow to enjoy their dental visits! Being a member of a professional dental team that provides top dentistry through new technology and thorough care makes that part easy.

Sarah is married to her college sweetheart. Together they are season ticket holders for UTSA football, as well as devoted Spurs fans! She enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking in Texas State parks, attending Texas country concerts, and staying current on new advances in dental hygiene and preventative dentistry.

Clare joined Lee Dental Centers in summer of 2016. She grew up in Fort Worth and made the move down for hygiene school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She has a deep commitment to her patients and strives at educating them on the importance of oral hygiene.

Dariela, lovingly referred to as Dee, was born and raised in the bicultural city of Eagle Pass, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and went on to receive her Dental Hygiene degree from Coastal Bend College. Dee brings many years of hygiene experience to the Lee Dental Center team. She is extremely involved in the dental hygiene community as a member of the San Antonio Dental Hygiene Association, Greater San Antonio Hispanic Dental Association and Christian Medical and Dental Association. Dee strives to provide the best quality care to all her patients and ensure they always feel 100% informed and comfortable during their visit.

Becky is originally from Palo Alto, CA. She enlisted in the military young and worked in a Logistics Readiness Squadron in the Air Force, retiring after 22 years of service. She longed to retrain into a dental career but the needs of the military always came first. She was finally able to go to school full time and graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2008 with a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene.

She has been with Lee Dental Centers since 2009.She is married and has two teenagers that keep her on her toes! In her downtime, she loves to BBQ with her friends and neighbors, especially to watch the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. Her favorite things are sparkly just like the smiles of her patients!

Jenalee is a graduate of Coastal Bend College in Beeville, Texas, where she graduated with an Associates of Science in Dental Hygiene. She believes in providing long term education on prevention, disease, and health management. She is also passionate about making long time relationships with her patients. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association and Texas Dental Hygiene Association.

When she isnt at work she enjoys hanging out with her husband Jeremy, watching Marvel movies, super hero tv shows, and reading. She has 2 cats, one that shes had for over 10 years. They also enjoy hanging out with family at bbqs and the swimming pool. They are excited to introduce the newest member of their family, a daughter, in December 2020!

Jennifer was born and raised in the San Antonio area then moving to La Vernia during high school where she currently resides. She worked as a Dental Assistant for 10 years before returning to school at Coastal Bend College and receiving her Dental Hygiene degree in 2008. Her passion is helping and educating her patients to achieve optimal oral health. To do so, she is continually learning about current dental changes and innovations to give our patients the most updated information. She firmly believes that patients comfort is priority and that its never too late to visit the dentist. After all, the oral cavity is the window to your overall health!
