Dr. Tyler Leavitt was born in Pocatello and raised in Blackfoot. At BYU-Idaho, he earned his Bachelors of Science degree. He was accepted into the Idaho Dental Education Program (IDEP) where he completed his dental education at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated with the highest honors-Summa Cum Laude and inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.
After receiving his Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS), he completed a specialty residency training in orthodontics as well as a Masters degree in Dental Science at St. Louis University, Advanced Center for Dental Education in Missouri.
Growing up in Blackfoot, Idaho and graduating from Blackfoot High School, Dr. Leavitts childhood was filled with many activities. His senior year of high school, he was All-Conference in both football and baseball. After his education and training taking him all over the country, Dr. Leavitt is glad to be back home.
He met his wife, Leslie at BYU-Idaho and they have three children: Patrick, Henry, and Molly. While not in the office, Tyler is taking his boys fishing and spending as much time as possible with family and friends and enjoys giving back to the community he loves.

Gabby and Dr. Leavitt were phenomenal on our very first visit. I have one child who is very nervous around medical stuff and new environments and new things going in his mouth for just pictures and X-rays and Gabby picked up on that and was over the top amazing at making him comfortable and confident, which is huge. I'm pretty sure she could have just stayed in her office and just waited until we were ready for her. But no, she came out and talked to my 3 kids and totally made them all feel confident and like super stars. She was very patient with the energy and talking from my three kids. When it came time to talk to me, (mom), she explained things so I could understand. I also appreciate the positive language and positive word choice that was chosen from both Gabby and Dr. Leavitt to make procedures and treatment not seem so terrifying. Dr. Leavitt was great. I appreciate him seeing concerns, but not jumping straight to treatment on my still developing kids and trying to do the least invasive and hands off as possible, but also intervening when necessary. I'll leave this last quote which says it all. I'm quoting all three of my kids age range from 5-10 years, " This was fun, I don't want to leave, I want to come back." We have had the greatest experience at Leavitt Ortho so far! Dr Leavitt is kind and takes his time with each patient. My kids really liked him a lot. Great office, great atmosphere, great staff--everyone is sooo nice! They use top of the line technology. I would highly recommend this office to anyone! Kacy is amazing and will help with any questions/concerns you may have. Gabby was fantastic and sweet! We love Leavitt Ortho!!!

What an beautiful office! As soon as you walk in you feel welcomed by the staff. My kids loved coming in for consults and are so excited to start treatment. They were ready to start yesterday! You will not be disappointed coming here, the staff and Dr. Leavitt went above and beyond and answered any questions.

Literally the best experience I have ever had at an orthodontist office. They were so loving to my daughter and made her feel so good about herself. They explained everything to me about her treatment and cost. Love love love this office!

We had a great experience with Dr. Leavitt and his staff today. He was very kind and personable towards me and my family. We were introduced to his staff and they made sure we were "happy campers"... they even offered the kids an after school snack... which was so needed at the time... thank you! He was very detailed and thorough while he explained his suggested treatment plan. I left the appointment feeling that we are in very capable hands.
