Dr. Casey Leavitt has been practicing dentistry in Pocatello since 2002. After graduating from Brigham Young University, he and his wife moved to Richmond, Virginia to attend dental school at Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. After graduation, he spent a year in the Advanced Education in Dentistry Residency Program at Idaho State University. There he gained cutting-edge knowledge and experience with complex and advanced dental procedures. Dr. Leavitt has served as a part-time clinical instructor at the same residency program for seven years. He has also had the privilege of providing weeks of donated dental care to the people of Mexico and Peru on service trips.
Dr. Leavitt is one of very few IV sedation certified dentist in the Pocatello area, and he serves as an office evaluator for the State Board of Dentistry for approval of providers seeking certification. He loves every aspect of dentistry, and along with the skills acquired from advanced training and years of experience, Dr. Leavitt practices state-of-the-art dentistry with the latest technology to ensure patients receive the greatest level of care available.
Dr. Leavitt attends the best continuing-education courses, which allows him to keep up on the latest tools and technology available in dentistry. He loves serving his patients and developing lasting relationships with each individual. He has also had the privilege of providing donated dental care to the people of Peru and Mexico, where he served a mission for his church.
He and Shaunna, his wife, have four kids two boys and two girls. They have set strong roots in Pocatello, and they are proud to call it their home. They enjoy snow and water skiing, golf, hiking, and biking as a family.

Additionally, each team member spends time taking individual classes to receive hands-on training in state-of-the-art practices and procedures. Janet has more than 22 years experience as a certified dental assistant. She has advanced training in CEREC crown design and glazing, as well as the expanded functions. Janet truly loves the opportunity to meet with and care for her patients. When you meet her, she will immediately put you at ease with her smile and the genuine way she cares about you. Janet enjoys the calm, peaceful atmosphere and the excellent professional dentistry provided at Leavitt Dentistry. She loves spending time with her family especially her 6 little granddaughters- water skiing, camping, going to rodeos and taking care of her yard.
Kymberli is a recent graduate of Idaho State University where she received her Bachelors of Science in dental hygiene. She has been part of Dr. Leavitts team since 2010. You might recognize her as a dental assistant; however, she decided that her ultimate passion was to provide preventive dental hygiene care. As the former vice-president of her graduating class and an Americorp member, Kymberli has always demonstrated willingness to serve others and be involved. She loves dentistry and takes pride in providing personalized care to patients. Kymberli leads each day by Zig Ziglars quote, If you see a person without a smile, give them one of yours, When away from the office, you might find her with family, walking her English bulldog, crafting or reading a good book.
Jyl has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2007 and has loved every minute of it. She earned a bachelors degree in biology and a second bachelors in dental hygiene from Idaho State University and has been practicing her passion ever since.
The field of dentistry has always been an area of great interest to Jyl. She loves learning about all of the advances and techniques in patient care, treatment, and education and sharing them with her patients. Jyl enjoys getting to know her patients and being a part of the community.
Jyl grew up in Pocatello and has always loved this area where she enjoys raising her four kids with her husband, Ace. She loves skiing, mountain biking, road biking, and being outdoors. If shes not in the office shes probably out on the trails!
Celeste graduated from Idaho State University in 2006 with a Bachelors degree in dental hygiene. She has been practicing and providing care to patients since then. Celeste loves that in dentistry, she is able to provide patients with the best possible treatment and education needed for a healthy and happy smile of confidence. Her favorite thing about the office is the trust, comradery and support of the entire staff, as well as the joy of getting to know the patients on a personal level.
In her spare time, Celeste enjoys spending time with her five wild boys and husband. She loves watching them enjoy sports; and as a family, they love the outdoors and are willing to try it all. Most of their time spent is hiking, camping, boating, biking and most recently rock climbing.
Stephani has been practicing as a dental assistant for 7 years now. Shes has training in CEREC crown design and glazing, along with other expanded functions. Stephani loves the one on one care with patients and working along side them to assure they have a comfortable experience. She has a great compassion for all her patients and strives to do her best to accommodate each ones personal needs. She enjoys dentistry, but getting to know her patients and helping them while in the chair is her favorite part of the job. During her spare time between school and work, Stephani loves spending time with her family. They love to be outdoors, going on hikes, and traveling. She personally loves to cook and try new recipes.

It is both my honor and pleasure to write this review for Dr. Leavitt and his staff. As a new patient, I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful professional, considerate and reassuring treatment I received. I was very impressed of the time that Dr. Leavitt devoted to me on my first appointment. I have never had a dentist give me such time and attention, while also showing me genuine compassion and concern for my dental care, as well as my overall health and wellbeing. I had never had experienced the 3D Dental CD Scan where Dr. Leavitt was able to locate an infection I had deep in my root as I had a crown put on a front tooth that was dying 10 years ago. I shudder to think at how long I had that infection, but I was feeling so thankful that he was able to discover it through these 3D images. He also located a crown that I previously had done7 years ago, but it was not sitting correctly on my molar and thereby allowing decay to occur on the tooth underneath. As a result of some difficult and challenging dental care in my past, I have developed anxiety with having dental work done. Everyone on staff was so friendly and kind, as well as being so warm and welcoming. They completely understood my apprehension and showed me great compassion when I went in to have my dental work done. They immediately had me at ease and the care and gentleness in which I was handled, made it a very positive experience. They never made me feel embarrassed for feeling nervous. It truly meant a lot to me to be treated with the sensitivity that was demonstrated to me by all in the office. I also want to take the time to highlight the time that Dr. Leavitt dedicated to me on my first appointment in discussing my sleep habits, and recommending a sleep study. They offered them there through their office. I had never had a dentist discuss this with me, and actually was not familiar with one, but everything he discussed with me made sense and explained a lot of the challenges I was encountering with my sleep. I did complete the sleep study and I was shocked to find out that I did indeed have sleep apnea, in addition to some other minor concerns/issues that were discovered through my sleep study. I can't help but to continually feel so blessed to have found Dr. Leavitt, and so thankful that I now have my infection cleared up, a new crown on my molar that I would also like to note that they were able to put the permanent one on the same day as they make the crown in-house. There is no having to have a temporary crown put on, and then go back in a couple weeks later for the permanent crown. Most importantly, I feel like I have a brighter and healthier future as I am now armed with the information from my sleep study and will be going in to have an appliance made that I will be wearing while I sleep and will be giving me a higher quality of sleep... a more restorative sleep, which I know I will definitely benefit from. I am extremely happy with Dr. Leavitt and his team and I do not ever see myself going anywhere else for my dental needs. Hands down they have won my trust, and have proven to be the best in caring for and treating their patients. They are truly a godsend for me and I highly recommend them to anyone. This office is so personable. They reach out to patients and make sure they are taking care of their patients. Everyone from the front staff to the dentist is professional and friendly. I especially love their transparency with cost. They go above and beyond checking with insurance and getting you a printed coat analysis so you know what you will be paying, and then they leave it up to you to decide if you want to proceed. I feel like they make professional recommendations but I do not feel pressured by them. Really happy I made the switch to this office!

Dr Leavitt recently took out my wisdom teeth, him and his staff were so kind and professional. Him and his staff are exceptional! They did a great job making sure I was comfortable before the procedure. I was in and out before I knew it with minimal swelling and pain. I highly recommend Leavitt Dentistry!

I am a 46 year-old male. I started with Leavitt Family Dentistry Casey Leavitt is my dentist, approximately 10 years ago. My dental experience for the 25 years prior to Casey I would rate as poor. I tried one dentist after another dentist after another dentist, never quite being satisfied with my Dental Services. Casey is the first dentist I have been truly happy with I feel like I can trust him! The staff is great! I actually enjoy going to the dentist! I could never say that before in my life! I would highly recommend Casey and I definitely think he is a good dentist! After being a client for the past 10 years, my teeth have finally been repaired and seem to do good on a constant basis! My dental hygiene has been fair or above-average my entire life for some reason just using Casey as my dentist all my cavities seem to go away and my teeth are in good shape! I do not understand how just having a good dentist would make all the difference in the world ?,but it sure has for me! I love you guys! My hygienist has been there for I would say the last three or four years and I have the same hygienist Kimberly every time and she is great! I would say she is the best hygienist I have ever had also! I would recommend Leavitt Family Dentistry to anybody! A great big thanks to you guys from Shane Merkley! You guys are Lifesavers in the mouth Department!
