Dr. John McKnight, a native of Olathe, Kansas, completed his undergraduate education at the University of Kansas. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Missouri, KC. Upon graduation, Dr. McKnight served 3 years in the U.S. Air Force. While in the military, he completed a one-year advanced education program in general dentistry. He is a member of the Northeast District Dental Society, Kansas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

Dr. McKnight and his wife Jody have been married since 1996 and they have four wonderful children. When not in the office, He enjoys spending time with his family, playing racquetball, serving in his church and community, and spending time outdoors.

Dr. Ricky Atchison, Jr. is from Troy, Missouri. He graduated from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri with a Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Science. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Following graduation, Dr. Atchison completed his residency at UMKC Advance Education in General Dentistry. In July 2021, Dr. Atchison will be joining our practice. He is looking forward to being part of the community and practice.

Our office manager, Stacey Schrick, has been with the practice since 2004. She oversees daily operations including processing insurance claims and payments. Stacey enjoys working with the patients to ensure they receive 110 % from Dr. McKnight and his staff. Stacey has been married to her husband Aaron since 1999 and they have 2 great children. She keeps busy watching her son play football at Benedictine College and keeping up with her daughter who is involved in various sports. When Stacey isnt busy watching her kids activities, she loves shopping with friends, canoeing and spending time at the lake.

Carrie Hanks has been a dental assistant at Leavenworth Family Dental since 2000. She enjoys working alongside Dr McKnight and helping patients feel at home. She is committed to continuing education in new dental technology. Carrie grew up in Ohio where she met her husband Kyle. They have been married since 1999 and have a daughter and a son. In her free time, Carrie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, camping, and going to the lake.

Alex Lewman is the newest member of the Leavenworth Family Dental team joining our practice in 2020. She grew up in Atchison. She currently lives in Cummings with her husband, Ryan and two dogs Thomas J and Chauncey. Alex considers herself a people person. She loves talking with patients and getting to know their story. In her spare time, Alex enjoys working in her craft room making various things such as macrame' and hanging out with family and friends.

Laura Cribb worked at Leavenworth Family Dental from 2011 to 2015 . She left only when her husband was stationed at the Pentagon from 2015-2018. They are excited to call Leavenworth home again and plan on staying through retirement. Laura enjoys getting to know patients while assisting Dr. McKnight with procedures. Laura and her husband Cliff have been married since 1990 and have 3 wonderful children and 2 grandsons. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and being outdoors.

Anna VanSchoelandt has worked in the dental industry for 20 years and loves complete interaction with patients and their care. Anna lives in Lansing Kansas with her husband Robert. They have been married since 2004. Together they have 8 children. She enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and grandchildren.

Nicole Romane has been in the dental field since 2013. Prior to receiving her Dental Hygiene degree from Flint Hills Technical College, she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. McKnight . Nicole and her husband Gage have been married since 2015. Nicole enjoys gardening and spending time with her cat.

Katie McQuillan has been a dental hygienist at Leavenworth Family since 2018. A native of Leavenworth, she was a patient of Dr. McKnights before becoming a hygienist. Katie graduated from Lansing High School where she played soccer and volleyball. She then went on to Flint Hills Technical College where she earned her Hygiene degree. Katie and her husband Kaleb have been married since 2019 and have one son, Sterling. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and 2 dogs as well as shopping and exercising.

Hailey Jackson, a graduate of Concorde Career College, began working with the Practice in 2018. She loves talking to and getting to know her patients in the office she considers very friendly and warm. Hailey grew up in a small town in Missouri where she and her husband Chris went to school together from Kindergarten thru their Senior year. They have been married since 2017 and are currently stationed at Ft. Leavenworth. They have one blue heeler baby named Roxy. In Haileys spare time she likes to watch Netflix, go on walks, and return home as often as possible to visit her family.
