Dr. Emily Cheek received a bachelors degree in Biology from Hendrix College, her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and then completed her pediatric dental residency at Bon Secours Pediatric Dental Associates in Richmond, Virginia. She has also received special accolades through the Imhotep Society and The Richard Doggett and Marguerite Taylor Dean Honorary Odontological Society.
When she was young, Dr. Cheek had a traumatic dental injury where she lost a permanent tooth, however, her pediatric dentist was able to save her tooth as well as her smile. She was so grateful and, from that moment, she knew she wanted to provide the same quality of care for others.
When Dr. Cheek is not saving smiles, she is enjoying family life in the city of Little Rock with her husband, James, their two beautiful children, James and Julia, and their two dogs, Honey and Winston. Dr. Cheek enjoys trying new foods, exploring the outdoors, spending time at Lake Ouachita and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Plaqusters are a super small species of bacteria that live mainly in the mouths of unsuspecting cool people. They are NOT clean and make a big mess everywhere. They LEAP from tooth to tooth, hang out on the gums, under the tongue and although they dont mean to do harm, they just cant help themselves. The longer they stick around in your mouth, the more damage they can do to your teeth. The best thing to do is blast them with fluoride and brush them away to a safe place where they can continue the party.

Dr. Arquitt and her whole staff are absolutely amazing! My son is autistic and is so nervous about going to the dentist but every time we go to this dentist they are so kind and patient with him. They never make us feel bad or rushed, even when he is having a melt down. I truly appreciate it! Highly recommend.

I work for a community organization that serves children. We had two kiddos who needed to visit the dentist, but we could not get them in to any of the major local clinics for undeserved kids. Thankfully we were able to get them in to see Dr. Arquitt whose team did an awesome job! Their entire team helped calm the kiddos when they were upset, keep them distracted when they were getting the services they needed, and were willing to offer our organization resources beyond anything we could have ever asked for. I can not sing their praises enough! What a great team!

Our 8 year old had to have 4 baby teeth removed in preparation for braces. The ladies were all so wonderful. They took time to explain every detail, they monitored his body language to help gauge his comfort level and communicated everything perfectly. It felt like our son had 3 other moms with him! A wonderful, knowledgeable team.

Great place! My kids love going to the dentist here. They are so sweet and know just how to interact with kids. I would recommend for any child and especially those with fears of the dentist.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. They are so so good with kids! Our child can be extra challenging some days, and they are so good to work with him! We went today and I shared that he had had a rough morning. Dr Arquitt decided just to do the exam, and wait for next time to do the cleaning, and was so good with him that he almost didn't want to leave when it was time to go!! Thank you so much for being sensitive to what our kiddos need. :)

Since google wont let me leave more than one review, I have to delete my last review to write a new one. If you are a parent with anxiety, Dr. Carrie's office is for you. I'm going to start with that, because I have anxiety. We've now been coming to her office for 5 years. Seems like yesterday, but yes, 5 years. In this amount of time our girls have had all sorts of dental work, because they have gone from baby teeth to grown up teeth (both girls have all permanent adult teeth). Every visit, and I mean every visit, has gone smoothly. Her entire staff (of the nicest ladies) work so well together, it's like a well oiled machine. We are a self-pay family (no insurance), and Dr. Carrie has consistently been mindful of that. And I do appreciate that tremendously. I have told them many times of how much I appreciate them, but I also want others to know. She is compassionate, and her staff is as well. I know all of their names, but it would be too long to write here. 5 stars is not enough. I'd give them much more.
