Dr. Emily Cheek received a bachelors degree in Biology from Hendrix College, her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and then completed her pediatric dental residency at Bon Secours Pediatric Dental Associates in Richmond, Virginia. She has also received special accolades through the Imhotep Society and The Richard Doggett and Marguerite Taylor Dean Honorary Odontological Society.
When she was young, Dr. Cheek had a traumatic dental injury where she lost a permanent tooth, however, her pediatric dentist was able to save her tooth as well as her smile. She was so grateful and, from that moment, she knew she wanted to provide the same quality of care for others.
When Dr. Cheek is not saving smiles, she is enjoying family life in the city of Little Rock with her husband, James, their two beautiful children, James and Julia, and their two dogs, Honey and Winston. Dr. Cheek enjoys trying new foods, exploring the outdoors, spending time at Lake Ouachita and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Plaqusters are a super small species of bacteria that live mainly in the mouths of unsuspecting cool people. They are NOT clean and make a big mess everywhere. They LEAP from tooth to tooth, hang out on the gums, under the tongue and although they dont mean to do harm, they just cant help themselves. The longer they stick around in your mouth, the more damage they can do to your teeth. The best thing to do is blast them with fluoride and brush them away to a safe place where they can continue the party.

We couldn't be more thrilled with the experience we had today!! Everyone from the front desk to the anesthesiologist and the dentist were top notch! Everyone went above and beyond to make sure our son was well informed and comfortable. Also as the parents they made sure we were also informed and updated! We are so thankful to have a great team taking care of our child!

They get you in and out and they are so good with my kids! I just wish they hadn't taken the play area out but I understand, they probably needed the space. But overall I would recommend them to anyone who ask me for a dentist office

From the monent we walked in, I felt a calm atmosphere from the receptionist at the front desk to the worker who cleaned my children's teeth. Everyone was very pleasant even the individuals in the office with the gesture of kind words in speaking, saying hello. I was very pleased with the kindness and overall courteous my children and I received on our very first visit to Leap Kids Dental.

Leap kids in Little Rock on south university is a wonderful place to take your kids. My son had multiple teeth worked in which required him to be sedated. Dr. Sean and nurse heather were very professional and made me feel like I had nothing to worry about. Dr. Sean spoke to me father to father and answered all my questions. I highly recommend these folks.

Best pediatric dentist I have ever been too. My 5 year old who has had traumatic events at dentist before was at ease here. The dentist are so friendly and warming, the anesthesiologist was so warming and caring for my daughter as if she was his own. I would give this place a 10 star if I could

I love Leap Kids Dental, they were able to get me in for a cleaning before I got my braces on last minute. answered all my questions and concerns and the staff were all well informed and friendly. I will be continuing my braces journey with their staff.

My son who's very young had to be sedated for a procedure and they were assuring, friendly and kept us(parents) updated. Very informative and knowledgeable. Great place to take your children for their dental needs!
