Dr. Emily Cheek received a bachelors degree in Biology from Hendrix College, her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and then completed her pediatric dental residency at Bon Secours Pediatric Dental Associates in Richmond, Virginia. She has also received special accolades through the Imhotep Society and The Richard Doggett and Marguerite Taylor Dean Honorary Odontological Society.
When she was young, Dr. Cheek had a traumatic dental injury where she lost a permanent tooth, however, her pediatric dentist was able to save her tooth as well as her smile. She was so grateful and, from that moment, she knew she wanted to provide the same quality of care for others.
When Dr. Cheek is not saving smiles, she is enjoying family life in the city of Little Rock with her husband, James, their two beautiful children, James and Julia, and their two dogs, Honey and Winston. Dr. Cheek enjoys trying new foods, exploring the outdoors, spending time at Lake Ouachita and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Plaqusters are a super small species of bacteria that live mainly in the mouths of unsuspecting cool people. They are NOT clean and make a big mess everywhere. They LEAP from tooth to tooth, hang out on the gums, under the tongue and although they dont mean to do harm, they just cant help themselves. The longer they stick around in your mouth, the more damage they can do to your teeth. The best thing to do is blast them with fluoride and brush them away to a safe place where they can continue the party.

Me and my kiddo both have a lot of anxiety and these are some of the nicest people I've ever interacted with. I highly recommend them. Where we're from all the places that take Medicaid treat you very poorly. This was such a different experience. We've been to this Leap location twice and both times blew me away.

A great place to take your kiddos.. They take Covid precautions, so I felt very safe visiting their location. They are very friendly, fast and easy service. Very informative and friendly staff/dentist. Look forward to continuing our care with them.

My daughter has been going here since 2012 we love and miss Dr Angel. There has been 2 different Dr since Dr.Angel left to go to Cabot. We still love it here. We saw new faces ALOT of people we knew there is no longer there. We still love it tho. They make you feel at home and comfy and tell you every step they listen to your concerns etc

My children in the past have had very bad experience with dentist! & today not one of them cried! The staff and the doctor were so amazing! They explained everything very well to me & my children! Made sure we all felt confident and understood.! My children walked out with pearly white teeth & big smiles on their faces! They couldn't wait to call their dad & tell him they had went to the dentist! I would recommend this office to ANYONE!!

MY KIDS Have not been to a dentist in over 2years because I was incarcerated and their caretaker did not take care of their dental health. Being their mother I was embarrassed of this. The Dental assistantts Dentist and Staff were not judgemental instead they were understanding and very helpful. My kids had the 1st check up on a Thursday and the next day Friday had fillings done. They get straight to the point and fix any problems. I am thankful and greatful to have them take care of my children's teeth. We will be coming back for many years to come.

I love the way the dentist took the time to explain to my child what was going on before, during, and after her procedure. It helped to keep her calm and let her know that her well being was important to them. We have been with Leap Kids for many years. They have always been good but recently they have been above and beyond the best!! All the current staff are great and work very well togeather!! Great work Leap Kids...

The Dentist and Nurse were amazing with my daughter, she was absolutely terrified of the nitros and numbing gel so we actually didn't use those. They talked to her through the entire process, she got a couple fillings done and made her feel so much more comfortable. We did it the old school way, and they were so accommodating and made sure she knew if you say stop we'll stop immediately and call it a day. Luckily she made it all the way through and she's been bragging about how much better her teeth feel and look for the rest of the day. I can't suggest Leap Pediatric Dental in Geyer Springs enough, they're absolutely amazing, also they're Spanish/English friendly at the front desk too which is super uncommon, I appreciate them even more for that.
