Dr. Emily Cheek received a bachelors degree in Biology from Hendrix College, her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and then completed her pediatric dental residency at Bon Secours Pediatric Dental Associates in Richmond, Virginia. She has also received special accolades through the Imhotep Society and The Richard Doggett and Marguerite Taylor Dean Honorary Odontological Society.
When she was young, Dr. Cheek had a traumatic dental injury where she lost a permanent tooth, however, her pediatric dentist was able to save her tooth as well as her smile. She was so grateful and, from that moment, she knew she wanted to provide the same quality of care for others.
When Dr. Cheek is not saving smiles, she is enjoying family life in the city of Little Rock with her husband, James, their two beautiful children, James and Julia, and their two dogs, Honey and Winston. Dr. Cheek enjoys trying new foods, exploring the outdoors, spending time at Lake Ouachita and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Plaqusters are a super small species of bacteria that live mainly in the mouths of unsuspecting cool people. They are NOT clean and make a big mess everywhere. They LEAP from tooth to tooth, hang out on the gums, under the tongue and although they dont mean to do harm, they just cant help themselves. The longer they stick around in your mouth, the more damage they can do to your teeth. The best thing to do is blast them with fluoride and brush them away to a safe place where they can continue the party.

The staff are always extremely effiecnt in both quickly creating a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere for my 2 children, as well as assessing and resolving all thier dental needs. My girls love to go to the dentist. That really says it all. Thank you Leap Dental, Hot Springs Ar! Keep up the great job Since they had teeth they have been in this office, and as a result they have absolutely NO FEAR of the dentist. Even if they need a little extra work on the occasion, they are already so used to being relaxed and comfortable, it's just not a big deal. Far cry from me when I was young. So thankful this is their experience. Always good. My youngest always says I love going to the dentist every time we pull up to the office for an appointment. She voices that fact. I am so thankful for that. I just didn't have that attitude as a child. Coming from a family of 6 children, there just weren't the same resources or these types of facilities available. I was always terrified, and with good reason, I never got to go until it was too late and the experience was awful. Leap Dental is a leap forward in pediatric/adolescent dental care. The staff is amazing and second to none. Bravo! We love you Leap Dental of Hot Springs

My kids 6, 4 & 1 1/2) absolutely LOVE LEAP kids dental. They're great with kids too and know how to make them feel comfortable. Would recommend to anyone needing a good dentist for their children.

I'm always so thankful for the way the staff make sure that both of my daughters feel safe and confident. They are genuine & kind. In four years, I've never once had a poor experience bringing my young kids here for care.

Wonderful experience every time me and my three toddlers visit for checkups. The staff are very friendly and are excellent with children! My children enjoy visiting the dentist. All in all, great experience overall. Wouldn't go anywhere else! Thank you Leap Kids Dental for keeping my children's smiles bright and beautiful as well as there experiences with you all!

Love love this dentist they are so awesome with my kids my youngest has been going there since he was 2 and has never been scared. They are very kid friendly. They are respectful and very understanding and not pushy. They actually take the time to listen to you and answer any questions that u have. I drive 2 hours just to take my kids to this dentist.

The only thing good about this place is the front desk staff and the dental hygienists, but that doesn't help me any if they aren't the ones that are doing the major work on my child's teeth. Everyone is great except the most important person. The dentist. He is rude. Horrible with children. Not informative, and not sympathetic when it comes to children being afraid of getting their teeth worked on. I mean adults hate going to the dentist, how do you expect a toddler to enjoy it? My child had to get caps on her teeth and when the dentist inserted the needle in my child's gums to numb the area more, she OF COURSE cried. Well, she was very upset to the point it was hard for her to control her breathing. This dentist YELLS at my daughter "Stop crying. You need to calm down or you are gonna mess up your breathing and EVERYTHING. Do you want a toy?" I was so stunned. He truly thinks he is just doing his job. Well it's a lot more to doing your job then working on peoples teeth. Raj Brahmbhatt is horrible with children. Since then we have switched to Tipton Pediatrics instead of going back to Leap Dental to do my daughters other cap. When the dentist at Tipton Pediatrics numb the area for my daughter, she didn't cry AT ALL. She well, WE had an AMAZING experience. She loves her dentist and loves going to the dentist now. To the point she wants to have a dentist birthday party haha. But the 4 years we have been at Leap Dental she has never felt this way. Being at Tipton Dental ONCE made us have an entire different outlook on going to the dentist. I would never recommend Leap Dental. Not even to my worst enemy
