Leah Walker Orthodontics, formerly known as Walker 3D Orthodontics, has been creating healthy, beautiful smiles for people of all ages in Carlsbad, Encinitas, San Marcos, Oceanside, and all around the La Costa area since 2006. She is known for her laid-back style and amazing results. As a doctor, she uses the latest technology to make orthodontics a breeze. As a Mom, she knows how to relate to kids and adults alike.

Dr. Walker was born and raised in Southern California and graduated from the University of Southern California in 1997. She received her dental degree with honors from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 2002. Dr. Walker relocated to southern California to practice general dentistry for two years before she found her true calling in orthodontics. She returned to the University of the Pacific, where she received her orthodontic specialty training and her Master of Science in dentistry.

I've known Dr. Walker for about 10 years. How? My first round of braces were in 2012. I got my braces off in 2014. My teeth were PERFECT thanks to Dr. Walker and her team. But, I've lost my retainers twice since I got my braces off. And eventually broke my bottom retainers in 2017. All of these are totally my fault for not being careful with the upkeep of my perfectly straight teeth. Then eventually in 2020 I decided that I wanted to get braces again to fix my shifted teeth. There is no one I trust more than Dr. Walker and her team. Dr. Walker is HONEST. And not only is she amazing at her job, but she operates with the patient's best interest in mind, and she is 110% transparent about the process every single step of the way. Of course, every patient process is different; I was scheduled to get my braces off earlier this month but now I'm scheduled for the end of this month. Why? Because I wasn't comfortable taking my braces off just yet; and without hesitation, Dr. Walker and her team said to me, "Then let's keep detailing until we get it right." There is nothing greater than a team who has the client's best interest in mind. I joke with Dr. Walker and her team about how I didn't get them off earlier this month because I'd just miss them too much. But honestly, I can say that there is some truth in me going to miss them once my braces are off. They are just such kind, caring, and positive professionals to be around! Shoutout to Dee, Tammy, and Wendy who I've known since my first time getting braces. And thank you to everyone I've met this second time around!!! Wish you guys could be my dentist too!

We love Dr. Walker, Wendy and the whole team. They are kind, funny, efficient and reliable. They are a happy bunch and so gracious when I've come in at the wrong time (let's pretend it was only the one time). I interviewed a few orthodontists and this team was the only one that didn't have photos of people with all identical smiles-- They truly take an individual approach to every patient. They make what you have look beautiful and treat you like family, which is what you should expect when you feel like you could have financed a small country had your kids been born with perfect teeth (it's worth every penny, BTW, and they are competitively priced for maintaining cutting edge techniques and equipment). My two kids have genetic issues with missing adult teeth, providing a few additional orthodontic challenges, and it's absolutely been not a problem. I am thankful to have my kids in very capable, professional hands!

While traveling, my son needed an adjustment to his expanders. Dr. Walker welcomed us as a guest patient (twice) for a same day appointment. I am so thankful for their team's support and generosity.

We love Dr. Walker, Wendy and the whole team. They are kind, funny, efficient and reliable. I can't recommend Leah Walker's office enough! Everyone at this office is so friendly and Dr. Walker is a wealth of knowledge. I'm 3 months away (fingers crossed) from finishing my treatment and I can absolutely say that I have been so happy that I chose Dr. Walker's office. I had 5 different consultations and I was really struck by Dr. Walker's detail and care and the entire office's friendliness and approachability. Appointments were easy, and when I arrived, I was speedily attended to. Everyone there operated efficiently like a well oiled machine, but with genuine warmth. I have never felt like just another number. I always felt that they cared how my smile was progressing and were genuinely invested in my care. And their office is small, but nicely decorated and furnished to be cheerful and fun. And they always decorate for the different holidays, making it so inviting for the kids. I have no hesitation in recommending Walker 3D to anyone interested in orthodontics!

Leah Walker did a fantastic job on my terribly crooked teeth. I am 64 years old and was hesitant to take the plunge with Invisalign. But Leah addressed my concerns, monitored my case closely, and always with a smile! I had interviewed other orthodontists but none had the professional background, education and cheery disposition that Leah exhibits. I would highly recommend Leah for your kids or your grandparents! My teeth are now perfect!

Dr. Leah Walker is a marvelous orthodontist. I can't say enough kind things about her or her extradinary office, which feels like a family. From our very first appointment with our eldest to now the end of the first phase with our youngest, we have met expert care and thorough preparation each step along the way. Dr. Walker is highly skilled and extremely knowledgeable, but it is her compassion and kindness that I value above all. I know she cares about my kids and for that I am extremely grateful. The children sense this, too, and thus treatments that might be uncomfortable, as occasionally orthodontics are, are not a big deal, because they've been well prepared and their concerns have been answered. Wendy Summers, Dr. Walker's Treatment Coordinator, is the the glue that holds everything together. And she does it with great efficiency, and always with a beautiful smile. No detail is too small, no question is ever unimportant. She makes each person, child and adult alike, feel important because she listens. I am extremely thankful to have found Dr. Walker. We love being part of the Walker family!

Walker Orthodontics goes above and beyond in customer service. Wendy, the patient care coordinator, instantly makes patients feel welcome with her kind, energetic personality. She is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Dr. Walker has a warm kind of professional demeanor that you don't often see in medical environments. We were given recommendations and options based on our goals for treatment and were encouraged to make decisions based on what was comfortable for our timeline. Once in treatment, Dr. Walker was always available to answer questions. Each time we have an appointment, we are seen in a timely manner. There is plenty of parking and the office is comfortable. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!

My husband and I are thrilled with Dr Walker's orthodontic work. She is amazing! We couldn't believe the results with our oldest son, within 3 -4 days his front teeth were straight! He has completed phase 1 and his teeth are perfect. This month he starts phase 2. Our younger son is now starting phase one, same incredible results! Dr.Walker & her assistant Wendy are insightful, funny, & always have a smile on their face! The office is warm and inviting. Never a wait. Always accommodating. Friendly staff. I highly reccomend checking them out for your children's braces.

Dr. Walker has served my family (2 boys and a girl) for 10+ years and we continue to be happy. Beautiful smiles all around! I would recommend Dr. Walker for anyone seeking a conservative and thoughtful approach. Now, with the 3D imaging we have a greater perspective and visual representation on the surrounding area as well.
