Robert Beckelman, D.M.D.was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in North Woodmere. After graduating from Lawrence High School in the class of 1973, he attended Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, where he double-majored in biology and psychology.
Dr. Beckelman earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1981 from the Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He then completed a general practice dental residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Beckelman has been married since 1981 and now has three wonderful children. He is an avid bicycle rider, golfer and skier, and has a fifth-degree black belt in Shorin-ryu Okinowan Karate. He enjoys listening to and collecting jazz and classic rock music.
My treatment philosophy is based on prevention and evidence-based choices for treatment. All techniques and materials used are proven and held to the highest standards of success and comfort. Education is a life-long endeavor, and I am dedicated to learning the most current ways to help my patients achieve optimal dental health.

All the staff at the practice are professional and friendly. Scheduling is done so well, I have never had to wait for my appointment. Hygienist and Doctor are the best, they really care about their patients and provide excellent care.

They are the absolute BEST, and my standards are high! My father was a dentist so you can only imagine how critical I am of other dental practices, so for me to rate so highly is a big deal. Front eve moment you enter the office you are greeted by welcoming front desk staff and see immediately that the office is clean and orderly. The operatories have state-of-the-art equipment. Everyone are professional, friendly, thorough and excellent communicators. They make sure to explain all work to be performed in detail, are very gentle, and attentive to patient concerns. HIGHLY recommend!

By far the best dentist I've ever had! My consultation was clear and informative using color photos of my teeth. He explained all of the work involved. He uses state of the art equipment. Oh... and did I mention how gentle he is. I literally took a nap with him working in my mouth on my last visit. I also love the staff... kind and professional. I would recommend Dr Beckelman to ANYONE looking for the perfect dentist!
