As a 1981 graduate ofNew York Universitys College of Dentistry, Dr. Mahan began his career with the US Navy Dental Corps. After 4 years of active duty, Dr. Mahan established his private dental practice at the Jersey shore in two locations: Toms River and Ship Bottom on Long Beach Island.
Both locations allow him to perform the highest quality comprehensive dental care including implants, root canals, porcelain veneers, cosmetic dentistry including tooth colored fillings, crowns, tooth whitening, Invisalign orthodontics, bridges, Snap On Smile, Perio Protect,and StemSave, as well as preventive periodontal care.
Dr. Mahan has just completed 26 years of active and reserve service with the US Navy Dental Corps and now enjoys his hobbies of boating, kayaking, skiing and sailing. Dr. Mahan resides in Toms River with his family and is a member of theOCYMCA, and is the Past-President of the Toms River Sunrise Rotary.

Very good experience. Able to get appointment when I needed it, staff very friendly, and clean/professional environment. Most important was that I felt confidence in Dr. Mahan - his diagnosis, explanation, and treatment.

As a new patient, I appreciated the friendly efficient response to my problem. I have Aetna insurance and was a little disappointed that the cost of my work was not completely covered.

I called on an emergency basis, taken immediately and treated very well from the Reception Desk and then treated very well by Dr. Mahan. He personally checked in on me the next day. All good

Staff is extremely nice - and as others have commented - extremely pricey. If you are here on vacation or down for the summer - GO HOME and get it fixed. They were not able to glue a bracket back on - and charged me a ridiculous price. I got some money back and learned my lesson. Not worth it.

They took me the same day I called which was great. Very pleasant staff and doctor However they charged me $300 just to glue in a temporary bridge and 1 X-ray that I feel was excessive

Hello, just had my first experience with Dr. Mahan and can say I wasn't as nervous as I usually am at any dental facility. The staff was courteous and calming. Would recommend his services to everyone especially my Armed Forces friends.

Professional and clean with knowledgeable personnel from start to finish. Will work with you with insurance as private policies do not cover the costs of different dental procedures. Scheduling was easy.

Having just arrived in LBI from Florida I needed to see a dentist ASAP for an emergency tooth infection. I was gratified to find Dr Mahan whose office set me up within one hour. He is a seasoned professional and after X-ray to confirm the problem took care of it. I am both pleased and gratified and will be following up next week prior to returning home. You can be confident that if you are looking for a great dentist Dr Stanley Mahan is a solid choice. He has two offices in the area. Thank you.

Seasonal resident on LBI without a local dentist. With a "cap" that had fallen out I contacted Dr Mahan's office. They were able to accommodate me that day albeit at their Tom's River location (40 minute drive) but could have seen me the next day in Ship Bottom. Great staff. Great experience with the doctor and the great work he did. I'd highly recommend him

I needed emergency treatment after breaking a tooth flying in from out of state. Scheduled me within 30mins if me calling. Diagnosed a bad break that needed a temp crown. Efficient and set me up without any fuss. I wholeheartedly recommend this office and the staff and Doc Mahan !!!!
