The Laurel Health Centers can trace their roots back to the Blossburg State General Hospital, which began serving patients in 1891. When the Blossburg hospital closed its doors in 1972, local residents were determined to preserve access to care and founded North Penn Comprehensive Health Services (NPCHS).North Penn opened its first family health center in 1973 on the former hospital site and expanded to include behavioral health and substance abuse treatment services the following year.
Over the next two decades, North Penn opened primary care clinics in Mansfield, Wellsboro, Westfield, Elkland, and Lawrenceville.In 1988, North Penn entered into partnership with Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital to form Laurel Health System, renaming its clinics to the Laurel Health Centers and Laurel Behavioral Health. In 2012, Laurel Health System affiliated with a Williamsport-based health system, now known as UPMC Susquehanna. The Laurel Health Centers elected to remain independent as federally qualified health centers to better care for vulnerable and underinsured patients on a sliding fee scale, but continues to partner closely with UPMC Wellsboro.
Laurel Health has been providing high-quality, patient-focused care throughout rural Tioga County and the surrounding communities for 48 years.Laurel Health consists of the Laurel Health Centers (seven family medicine / specialty care federally qualified health centers), Laurel Behavioral Health (outpatient behavioral health office), the Laurel Health & Wellness Center, Laurel Pediatrics, and two Laurel Dental offices in Lawrenceville and Blossburg, PA.

Constantly reschedule you after you wait 6-8 months for an appointment but if you reschedule a couple times over 3 years they throw a fit. The dentist is rude and not very good anyway.

Garbage pathetic excuse for a dental practice. We have been cancelled on by them twice now, the most recent they called at 2:40pm to cancel our appointment at 3pm, when we were already almost there. The other time they also cancelled same day as the appointment. We have now lost three days worth of work, since we have to take off for these appointments. Not only this, they literally make you come in separately for every single filling you need. We've been trying to get this over with for a few cavities for many many months now. The receptionist is not understanding even in the slightest and acts like this should not be an inconvenience to us. Honestly, I'd rather let all my teeth rot out of my head before coming here again.

I think everyone one that works here is super nice, the receptionist, the dentist and his assistant. I had to have some dental work done and he is extremely gentle, I have always been a little nervous about going to the dentist but I feel very comfortable going here

I honestly would give a 5 because the dental hygienist and actual dentist were amazing and had amazing bed side manners but the dental assistant is so rude and pushes for unnecessary procedures like saveable teeth (according to the actual dentist ) she pushes to be pulled. She has absolutely no bedside manners at all.

So I rescheduled my daughters appt a few mos ago, days in advance..and had to reschedule one last wk..got a letter in the mail that we are Dismissed..Seriously?? Left a message the 2nd time and they dont call u back..The only reason she has to go back is because the dentist screwed up something and she has to get it redone. Tioga dental office is a joke, we will gladly find a new one.. If I could I would give half a star..

My 7 year old daughter was a patient here and we had really great experiences with the previous dentist. There is a new dentist that doesn't allow parents in the room with their children for procedures. We waited 40 minutes to find out they will make no exceptions. If you have kids that are scared this isn't the place for you! It also would have been nice to know about the new rule before driving all the way there and sitting forever!
