True to the mission of its founders, Northern Valley Indian Healths central purpose is to provide health services to eligible American Indians in the service areas of Colusa, Glenn, and Yolo counties and portions of Butte and Tehama counties. Medical and Dental services are provided to the general community as well.

NVIH has Medical clinics in Willows, Woodland, in Chico at the Childrens Health and Womens Health centers, and at our main Chico site. We also have Dental clinics in Willows, Chico, Woodland, and Red Bluff, as well as a Mobile Dental Clinic.

A Board of Directors from the Mechoopda Indian Tribe of Chico Rancheria, the Grindstone Indian Rancheria of Wintun-Wailaki Indians of California, the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation of California, and the Kletsel Dehe Wintun Nation of California govern the corporation. Each respective tribe appoints tribal members to the Board of Directors. Members of the Board elect a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer to acts as officers. A Chief Executive Officer is appointed by the Board to administer the business of Northern Valley Indian Health.

NVIH offers medical, dental, mental health, and specialty services to a robust medical community with an unfilled demand for health care services. NVIH currently operates eight (8) locations and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
