With native roots in Southern California, Dr. Mark Evans grew up watching his dad change lives as an endodontist. Seeing how his father was able to help others love their smiles and live healthier lives, Dr. Evans was inspired to become a dentist.Dr. Evans attended Brigham Young University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He later served a 2 year church service mission to Peru, where he learned to speak Spanish fluently. Afterwards, Dr. Evans achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. From 2013 - 2017, Dr. Evans served as an Army Dentist at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. After the Army, he moved to Laveen, Arizona, where he and his wife fell in love with the community. With corporate dental offices abound in the area, Dr. Evans wanted to offer a local alternative, where patients could truly feel known and cared for. At Laveen Smiles, Dr. Evans is providing top-notch care with heart, and creating positive, personalized dental experiences for his neighbors and friends.As a life enthusiast, you can find Dr. Evans spending quality time with his family, and soaking up the outdoors while snowboarding, wakeboarding, or longboarding. Most recently, hes in the process of installing a disc golf course at Laveens local Cesar Chavez park.

Such a good experience! I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. I'm generally very nervous about going to see the dentist and try to avoid it unless absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, I had a filling fall out over the weekend and since I've recently moved to the area it was not reasonable to go to my previous dentist and I needed to find a new one closer to home. I called a few other places in the area and none would be able to see me for over a week minimum. I was getting discouraged plus my teeth hurt. When I called Laveen Smiles they were SUPER nice and were actually able to squeeze me in that day to take a look. When I arrived the office was super clean and literally every single person on staff there was incredibly nice to me! No one tried to rush through anything and each of the ladies explained to me what they were doing every step of the way. It turns out I had several other large cavities I needed to have filled in addition to the one where the filling fell out. (I did know about the cavities before I arrived but I had been putting off dealing with them. Totally my fault!) They went over my treatment plan with me on the big screen in the room, in great detail to make sure I understood everything that was to happen and each line item had the cost associated with it in bold font so it was very clear what my cost would be. I loved this! Since I needed so much work they were not able to do it all right that second as they had some other appointments already scheduled. BUT they did have a cancellation for that day and told me to come back in 2 hours and they could do everything for me then. (I live 5 minutes away so it was not an issue at all for me to do this.) When I came back 2 hours later they set me up in a nice room and gave me the remote to the TV hung on the ceiling so I could watch a movie while they did all the work. They used plenty of numbing stuff and were exceptionally gently with me and talked to me in a way that was very soothing and made me feel at ease. Even though I needed quite a bit of work it was really just the most pleasant experience possible. The people there are some of the best medical office staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! I will for sure be going back for any dental needs I have in the future and recommend this office to anyone else who might need dental work. Especially anyone who like me is afraid of the dentist. This is the place to go! Thank you guys!

The experience both my husband and I had with Dr. Evans and his staff was exceptional. He made us feel at ease while discussing our dental plan with both of us and was in absolutely no hurry to leave. The patience, knowledge, and non-judgmental attitude that Dr. Evans has is exactly what we were looking for. I was worried that the language barrier was going to be an issue with my husband but again Dr. Evans surprised us. Having a dentist who is local and knows the community he serves is admirable. Now the staff: super friendly and willing to help! From the front office to the dental hygienists and assistants: amazing! I was in awe with the team dynamic they displayed. Everyone seemed to flow together and were always helping each other out when needed. It's very rare to see and find that type of dynamic in a medical office, at least in my experience. Overall, we are glad to have found Dr. Evans and his team and we definitely recommend him one thousand percent! Thank you very much Dr. Evans!

Great, accessible location. All staff I interacted with were professional, friendly, and helpful. Dr. Mark Evans is friendly and professional. He took time to answer questions and even offer additional dental health advice for dental care products. The appointment did not feel rushed or hurried.

Amazing staff and office! I had a horrible experience years ago at another dental office and have been very hesitant to go back to dentist. Called Laveen Smiles made an appointment which was a quick turnaround and everyone was super friendly and eased my anxieties about be back at the dentist. This place is the real deal and have definitely made me a forever patient!

I took my six year old in for a second opinion on a procedure, Dr. Evans was able to provide me with a professional and truthful opinion so that I could decide what was best for my child. The office was very well equipped and clean, staff was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be taking my whole family there moving forward, I highly recommend Laveen Smiles especially if you are in the Laveen area.

I went to Laveen Smiles for the first time today. I have finally found a terrific, long-term dentist after 20 years of skipping around! Everyone was so nice and made me feel so comfortable. Aside from our health care providers, my wife and I make it a point to frequent and support locally owned Laveen establishments. We love our community and feel that not only is it convenient, but it is also an excellent way to support and help sustain our community. Especially during these tough times. Yesterday afternoon, I had a routine appointment at Laveen Smiles. Their office is clean, calming, and very welcoming. I met Erica the receptionist, Rene the dental hygienists and Dr. Evans the Dentist. And a very professional assistant who took a series of x-rays. The staff is incredibly professional and supportive; on-time with nice reminders through texts. I have a thing for consistency. They use state-of-the-art technology, answering questions as they go, maintaining an excellent bedside manner. This review comes with the highest regard for a fantastic practice!

At every step of the way everyone in office was extremely warm and welcoming throughout the entire process. I cannot recommend Laveen Smiles enough, they are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!
