A northwest native, Dr. Bennett earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Willamette University before settling in Portland. She completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine at Oregon Health and Sciences University, where she earned a reputation amongst her peers for integrity, clinical excellence and compassionate care. She graduated with honors in 2000 and has been caring for the Laurelhurst community ever since.
Dr. Bennett enjoys expanding her base of knowledge through extensive continuing education, including through the Spear Study Club, the Kois Center and the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry. She has volunteered her dental services locally with Portlands Mission of Mercy and abroad with Medical Teams International in the orphanages of Cambodia.
Skilled and empathetic, Dr. Bennett is committed to her patients well-being and comfort. She brings a thoughtful and collaborative approach to helping every patient move forward in their journey towards lifelong oral health.
Dr. Bennett lives in southeast Portland with an insightful songwriter, a vibrant teenager and two orange tabbies. Three of the five enjoy reading, music and glamour camping together. Dr. Bennett also enjoys tai chi, fiber arts, creative projects, and spending time in nature.
Dr. Bao V. Pham began his higher education at the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. After Idaho, Dr. Pham received a Master of Public Health degree at Portland State University and then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health and Science University. He did his General Practice Residency at Oregon Health and Science University Hospital and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at Highland General Hospital at Alameda County, California after receiving his DMD degree.
Dr. Pham furthered his studies in implant dentistry from Loma Linda University and intravenous sedation from University of Southern California. He holds a class III anesthesia permit for deep sedation.
Dr. Hillary Hawkins is a Portland native. She grew up in Southeast Portland and attended St. Marys Academy in downtown Portland. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry with a minor in Business Administration from the University of San Diego. She graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska.
When she isnt practicing dentistry, you can find her ski touring on Mt Hood year round with her husky. She also loves exploring all the restaurant offerings and food trucks Portland has.Some of her favorites include Eem and Culmination Brewery.

My dental hygienist gave me some advice on what to do to reduce my plaque buildup...something I hadn't heard before and the dentist gave me a good understanding of my dental options that I will need to do in the next year or two. Both information was very appreciated. They were both kind and understanding.

I was called back to see the hygienist called me back at the exact time of my appointment, so I did not have a long wait time and was finished and out to my car before the hour parking in the spot had passed. The hygienist was efficient and thorough, and scraped, polished, and flossed my teeth in a timely manner, even behind my lower front teeth which tend to have a plaque buildup. I felt no pain, and her prodding with a sharp ended tool didn't cause any bleeding of the gums either. She was not talkative, but since as a patient you can't really respond, that was fine with me. I would recommend Laurelhurst Dentistry to anyone who needs to get their teeth cleaned. They are skilled, efficient, and thorough leaving you with that wonderful feeling of having really clean and polished teeth.

In spite of my dental anxiety (which has nothing to do with this practice) my first visit was very positive, and great care was given both for my nerves, and sensitive teeth. Very caring and considerate staff, especially with my 90-year old dad who can't hear well. Miriam, his hygienist, was so thoughtful about speaking up and supporting her verbal communication with visuals and motions. He understood her so well and had a very positive experience! Dr. Hawkins and the front desk staff were also wonderful! Great experience!

I been to many Dentists. This one by far was the best .I went to get a first-time check-up at a new dentist and my teeth cleaned. The hygienist was very thorough and gentle and educated me as we went along how my teeth and gums are doing . The examination and Xrays were thorough. I was really pleased. My teeth never looked so white like this. The Dentist came in and made some great recommendations.I am pleased to say this is my new dentist and hygienist. You can tell they really care and the office was clean and covid prevention methods were reassuring. Thankful.. Joey.
