This office is 2 blocks from where I live and I stopped by at 12.30 pm, the door was open and there was no one at front desk, I waited a few minutes and decided to call the office and after waiting a guy appeared and I say Hi, he didn't say hi and told me that right now they are closed, they are in lunch and to call back. There are no sign's that they are completely closed for lunch and he was definitely not helpful and didn't care. Don't waste your time coming here, now I get why the other dental office across the street is fully booked!!

The nurse/technician was rude when I wanted an eta of when I'd be seen. I had someone waiting in the parking lot and it had already been 30 min past my appointment time and I wanted to give them an update. My appointment was just for a consultation to which I find out they booked 3 consultations at the same time. I waked out and the rude lady gives me a rude look and I go to the desk to demand my co-pay back. Everyone around was acting like nothing was happening and I believe I had to ask for a refund to leave 5 times. What a waste of time and energy. I would not trust any of these people to do anything in my mouth.

I've been a patient of Laurel Chandler for more than 20 years. The Team is great and extremely accommodating to my needs. I highly recommended Dr. Lala and Team. Special thanks to Angie, Lisa, Alice and Tuesday!!

This Dental office is extremely petty. Charged me 20 Dollars for missing an appointment! Never sent a reminder, never told me that there was a charge for missing an appointment. It's not even about the 20 bucks, it's the principle. They obviously don't value their patients. When I told them I was going to find another dentist, they made no attempt to resolve the issue which shows me their character. If you're looking for an office that actually cares for their patients, avoid this place.

PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THIS DENTISTRY!! I was with them since I was a child and I have witnessed and experienced a plethora of issues that always started from their end. Wish there was a way to rate this place with zero stars. They did SHADY and TERRIBLE things that I'd rather not talk about, but yes, please take your $$ elsewhere. My family insurance recommended to switch over dentistries because they recognized that Laurel was not doing an adequate job in communication and charging. I could not be more happy with my new dentistry, Brushstroke Dental in Northridge. The staff from Laurel Chandler office, more specifically the secretaries, are pitiful and can't to do their job adequately to save their lives. I'm young and have been a secretary for a good two years and I have never behaved or done what Chandler's secretaries/desk employees have pulled off even on my worst days. Very idle people who hide their malice and laziness behind an evidently fake smile. If you do find yourself there for a visit, I bid you the best of luck.

Very competent, courteous, and thorough dentists. My husband has anxiety when going to the dentist. Dr. Lala and the staff at Laurel Chandler are so understanding and really do a great job helping him to calm. Most of the young adults assisting are professional and courteous. However, there are a couple who appear to need more training with dental procedures, as well as customer service. Hopefully, they will improve by working in such a professional environment as this.

In reading some of these reviews, I wonder if I was in the same office. I have had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Lala and everyone who works there. The staff has always been professional and courteous. I have been to other dentists but ended up coming back to Laurel Chandler. I just had oral surgery at this office and although I was anxious about it, the whole staff handled it very proficiently.

Dr. Lala had an assistant temporarily cement my bridge in, and whispered to that assistant so he thought I wouldn't hear "just cement it in lightly" - two days later it fell out. One time the office called me to cancel an appointment the afternoon before an 8:00 a.m. appointment saying that they had overbooked. The hygienist that cleaned my teeth was rude and had to be reminded that my bridge was not even cemented in and that I probably should remove it before she cleaned that quadrant. She had no idea as apparently she had not reviewed the records. The day before I went to have that bridge re-cemented in correctly, a young sounding woman from the office called me to confirm my appointment, but gave me the wrong time of 10:30 a.m. When I corrected her saying the appointment was scheduled for 10:00 a.m. she said after a long pause "...oh, you're right". I didn't matter, of course. When I arrived shortly before 10:00 a.m. I wasn't seen until 10:30. Typical. So now it is 10:30 and I am my name is called to be seen only it is not Dr. Lala I am seeing, it is some assistant who wants to work on the wrong thing. When I told her I was there just to have my bridge cemented in correctly she said she had no record of what I was talking about. She left and 5 minutes later returned to the room saying she now sees what I am speaking of, and then told me I had to go to the office first. I went to the office as instructed only to be confronted by a truly rude woman, short in stature with a large figure and reddish hair who interrupted my questions and complaints about what was going on by saying "let me stop you there". For me that was the last straw so I simply turned and left. I was never refunded my money for the shoddy work that was done on my bridge. I didn't have the money at the time to replace it, and all I wanted was for the temporary cement job to last more than two days, especially over the holidays. I finally ended up buying some cement from Rite Aid and did a better job myself. I freely admit that I missed an appointment which I had simply forgotten, but I paid them for that cancellation. I also admit that I have canceled an appointment, but I gave them more than 24 hours notice. They charged me for missing an appointment but I was not allowed to charge them when they cancelled on me in the afternoon before an appointment at 8:00 a.m. the next morning which was less than 24 hours notice. My time is also very valuable. There is one person who is professional and nice and that is Lisa, who seems to be the head receptionist. Oh yes, and there's one male assistant who cemented in and polished my crown who is also professional. I wish I could remember his name. Dr. Lala's office has written a letter to my insurance saying that "the doctor patient relationship has broken down" and that they do not want to service me or my family. What doctor patient relationship? That is self aggrandizing jargon. They mean the office patient relationship. Believe me, if you don't have the money to pay, Dr. Lala and his staff couldn't care less about you. There's nothing really wrong with that as they're in business to make money, but in exchange for that money a so called professional office needs to act and perform as such. No worries about the letter, I wasn't planning on returning. However, writing that letter made me feel the need to hopefully discourage potential or current patients from seeking treatment at that office. That large reddish haired woman simply was uncomfortable hearing the facts and being asked questions about why things were disorganized, and why the work was inferior. Who do I think I am questioning the great Laurel Chandler Dental Care? These are the reasons why I am writing this post. I think that Dr. Lala may have some skills, but his office and many of his staff need some training in organization, know-how, and manners. I walked out and you should never walk in.

This review is for the front desk staff, not Dr. Lala because I never even came in to see him since his staff was so rude in my time of need (& pain). Angela, if you're reading this.... I hope someday when you're in pain someone is as helpful to you as you were to me. Thumbs down.

I've been coming here as their patient for 24 years and have always seen Dr. Lala. He is great, personable, and friendly. The front staff, Lisa, and Irene, have always treated me nice, respectful as their patient, and have always seen to my needs. I have been referred to specialists over the years for various things, dental surgery, cracked teeth, etc. and it has never been a issue. I always stick with the best, whether my Dentist 24 years, hair stylist 20 years, mechanic 12 years, etc. The office is clean too. My family and I go every six months for teeth cleaning and get x-rays on the spot. I can't say why there are negative reviews but the two of us love our dental office. People are quick to write negative reviews but people hardly ever write about the good. Don't let a couple of bad reviews deter you from trying this office.

I don't know why other supposed clients of this practice rated it so badly. I've been coming here since the late '90s for every kind of dental work, cavities, root canals, bridges, crowns, cleaning, surgery, etc. Not once have I had a bad experience. Dr. Lala is very competent and his staff is experienced, courteous and helpful. As far as I am concerned, they are perfectly professional.
