Dr. Laura Ki decided to become a dentist after her father lost all of his teeth. It was very difficult for him to do everyday things like eat a meal, and so she decided she wanted to help people in similar situations. After going on several mission trips during which she had to remove many failing teeth, Dr. Ki made a commitment to her patients to help them save their natural teeth when at all possible.
Dr. Ki received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and then went to dental school at the Medical College in Richmond (Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry). After graduating in 1993, she completed a one-year residency at the Stony Brook State University of New York. Her dedication to continued learning had taken her through hundreds of hours of training in soft tissue therapy, dental implants, and orthodontics. She completes more than 100 hours of continuing education and training each year.
Outside of the office, Dr. Ki is very involved with her church and the Samaritans Purse foundation, and also volunteers at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic. She enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and practicing her South Korean language skills.

Your comfort while in our office is our top priority. Dental anxiety affects far too many people in our country, and the last thing we want to do is add to that number by not paying attention to how you feel. Through the use of local anesthetic, Dr. Ki can make sure that you feel nothing but slight pressure during your time in the dental chair. For those who feel they need a little bit more than what local anesthesia will give, we can also offer oral sedation. With two sedation levels, we can tailor your level to make sure you stay calm, collected, and comfortable during your treatment.

I told the doctor I needed nitrous because of my anxiety. She said she didn't have any but she would treat me delicately, all along speaking calm and reassuringly. She said come for the first appointment and try her out. Leslie at the front desk is really nice, engaging and she smiles and laughs easily. And very helpful. She is my dentist now and I will definitely be telling everyone to come to her. I can also practice my Korean with her and the dental hygienist. Win win. Yaay me for finding Dr ki by accident, and yaay Dr ki for being there for me to find.

Our family had been patients for a few years. Very small office Dr. Ki does the cleanings which I never liked but didn't say anything. Doctors are good at filling & crowns hygienist are trained to clean teeth! Unfortunately, they lost us a patients because Leslie is a very unprofessional, power hungry front desk person. They've taken X-rays without permission & billed insurance unnecessarily! Watch out they are nice until you need something (copy of my kids X-rays for a 2nd opinion) then very unprofessional. I asked a call from the Doctor because I could not understand the reason why it would take so long to get copies of my X-rays to be emailed. Dr. Ki was listening but did not take a minute to address the issue! I had the other dental office email the same X-rays in 2 minutes!

Laura Y, Ki DDS have great environment for preventing Covid-19. Minimizing their appointment to avoid customers to contact the other customers. I felt fairly relief from Covid-19 when I visit the office. Dr. Laura and her assistant Moon is so professional in every treatment they perform. Great DDS.

Dr. Ki is the best dentist I've ever had. She is extremely detailed and the services are quick and thorough. Dr. Ki and her amazing staff have great business hours. They are open until 6pm. This is extremely rare and means I never have to miss work for a appointment. My dad comes all the way from Springfield to see Dr. Ki.

Dr. Laura Ki is one of the best dentist I've ever met in my life. She extracted couple of my tooth very quick and painless in order to treat my dental issue. I believe her extraction skill is one of the top level. I've also had few resin treatments as well as crown build up with no pain and no uncomfortableness after the crown. Strong recommendation is given from my experience.

Dr. Ki is a fabulous dentist! She's super hospitable with her patients, making sure to make them feel like home! For example, during one of my summer appointments, she handed me a water bottle as soon as I walked in. My mom also loved her bamboo plant and Dr. Ki gave it to her! Dr. Ki is very committed to making sure sure my braces perfected my smile, maybe almost a bit much, but I took her pushiness as coming from a kind place. As for her staff, most are very talented which made appointments quick, others not so much. Overall her office is very organized and kept, would definitely recommend.

Dr. Ki and her staff were very welcoming and efficient. Never had an easier time at a dentist! Dr. Ki was thorough and professional - she took time to provide the best service possible. Her staffs were also very friendly and knowledgable with questions I had. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone in the area.
