At heart I am an artist andenjoy painting, collaging, interior design, photography, mixed media, and most explorations in the world of art.I am also constantlystriving and loving to learnmore about the inner workings of our bodies, and how this impacts the delivery of care to my patients. I take an enormous amount of continuing education courses yearly in the areas of functional medicine, biological dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, laser dentistry, airway-centered dentistry, ALF and craniosacral therapy, nutrition, homeopathy, spiritual and energetic health, and many other adjunctive therapies. When not out cultivating knowledge, I thrive being in nature as a hiker and also an avid gardener. I do love making the world a greener place!

Dr. Laura Lawson graduated from University of Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2002. She also holds a BS in Microbiology with emphasis in Genetics from University of California, Santa Barbara. She grew up in Bucharest, Romania and moved to the US during her teen years to attend high school inthe beautiful East Bay.

Dr. Macias was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he obtained his dental degree in 2001. He joined our practice in January of 2013 and values Dr. Lawson's whole-body approach to dental health.He loves helping others by improving their health through dentistry. Although you might not guess it, growing up Dr. Macias was afraid of going to the dentist! As a career goal he vouched to provide the most gentle and kind care to all his patients.
Caroline has enjoyed working in the dental field for the past 20 years and has been a hygienist in Dr. Lawson's office since 2010. She was drawn to this practice by Dr. Lawson's idea of what patient care is about: looking at the overall health and well-being of each person and providing excellent and comprehensive quality service.
She loves meeting new patients and educating them about their oral health. Her compassion and care put the most apprehensive patients at ease. She also values her 'dental family', feeling that her fellow team members are the best at striving for excellence.
Patricia has been an RDA for 20 years and has been working side by side with Dr. Lawson since 2009. She was introduced to the world of dentistry at a young age through her father, who is also a dentist. She likes working at the Family and Cosmetic Natural Dentistry practice especially because of thefocus and care Dr. Lawson places on her patients'overall health.
Outside of work, Patricia enjoys spending time with her kids. She also loves baking and cooking, and more recently has been enjoying the health adventure of paleo friendly cooking and baking. Healthy and delicious, homemade, and organic meals are her passion.Patricia is originally from Baja, Mexico.
Bianca received her Dental Assisting education from the Carrington College of California. Bianca loves to learn, pursuing many areas of knowledge in the health and well beingfields. She is currently studying to become a dental hygienist andis very excited to help patients achieve their best individual oral health.She was drawn to dentistry from an early age and really enjoys providing dental care for all patients. She continues to expand her dental knowledge and infuses the office with her happy attitude and friendly manner.
Andrea has been in dentistry since 2004 when she began working as a Dental Assistant. She immediately knew she loved helping people meet their oral health care needs. She has tremendous knowledge about insurance anddental treatments, and her expertise is in providing comprehensive and knowledgable care bybridging oral health and financial guidance.
Jessie received her holistic nutrition certification through Bauman College and her M.S. in Integrative Health and Clinical Nutrition from Maryland University of Integrative Health. Sheis also certified in clinical homeopathy.She loves sharing her passion for nutrition and and enjoys working with patients to address health concerns and enhance their quality of life with gentle, sustainable changes.
When not working, Jessie enjoys being a full-time mama to her sweet toddler and hanging out with her husband and family. She also enjoys reading, exercising, cooking, and especially learning there is always a new project to tackle, new information to absorb, or a new language to explore!

We brought our two young children to see Dr. Lawson after doing much research on local holistic dentists and reading glowing reviews. After a two-month long wait for an appointment, we arrived early and had to sit another hour and some in the waiting room, juggling two hyperactive kids. But that was only the beginning. Over the course of two visits, I got judged as a mother, shamed, criticized, cut off mid-sentence, and blamed for everything that was not going "right" with my child's behavior and health. And what I was doing "right" could've been done better. All of this was based on Dr. Lawson's quick assumptions about my parenting style and character. Also, there were obvious unresolved personal issues projected onto me and my family. My desire to be included in the decision-making process was met with resentment. And I was told that I should keep quiet, let her do the work, and stay out of the way. She was snarky, constantly on edge, and passive-aggressive in her comments. We came to her practice seeking help and support, looking forward to all the benefits of a holistic approach. Instead, my child left the office traumatized by the experience and I felt like I was just used as someone's punching bag. I believe that Dr. Lawson is a highly trained, knowledgeable, dedicated, and overworked professional that got burned out in her practice. Her behavior is unprofessional and abusive. I canceled the rest of the appointments and wish I could get my money back!

The office is clean and the staff is wonderful! Andrea at the front desk is so kind and so professional. Charley gave me one of the best cleanings I have ever had and was patient with me and my four year old (who had to watch me get a cleaning). Charley gave me excellent advice for flossing and answered all of my questions. She had some great natural ways to achieve the smile I want. Patricia was wonderful as well! Patricia cleaned my timid four years old teeth... she was so kind and understanding with my little one. I was so pleased that she helped us have a positive experience! My daughter has been talking about it all week in such a positive way. Dr. Lawson was excellent! The exam was very thorough and she really helped me with concerns I had and educated me on ways to improve my problem areas. I really am happy with the amount of time she spent with me. Jessie was also very wonderful with my little one and I am appreciate her always checking in to see how we are doing and if we need anything. She really helps make the experience fantastic! I would highly recommend this office to anyone.

I like this dentist and dental staff a lot. They are very friendly. But more importantly, I felt like my teeth were well cared for. I had some issues with cleaning my back teeth. The doc showed me how to properly clean the hard to reach teeth. And the dental hygienist did a very thorough job of cleaning my teeth. They made me see how easy it is to fix my issues and prevent other issues just by properly flossing and brushing. I have been flossing and brushing 3-5 times per day after my visit. Hopefully, my follow up visit will show improvement. Also - they did a great job of reviewing the bill with me. Even though my insurance covered it all, they still took the time to go over it.

Dr. Lawson is one of the very best dentists around. First and foremost she has tremendous integrity and you can trust her diagnosis and her thoughtful advice. Her office is very professional and her hygienists are excellent. She is also aware of current health trends and mindful of the connection between oral health and overall health. She has done impeccable work on our whole family's teeth and corrected poor work done by other dentists. Not only are her rates reasonable, but she will save you money by doing only what is necessary and doing correctly. I would give her six stars if that was an option!

Hands down the best dentist I've ever had. They do amazing work, and keep my terrible gum situation under control without a lot of work or cost. I didn't realize how good dentists could be until I started coming here! Highly recommended.

Dr. Lawson and her team can't be beat! My first visit to their office was after 5 or so years without dental insurance, which meant it had been some time since having my teeth cleaned professionally. I was well taken care of, and received no lectures or guilt trips (as I had received from another dentist), and have loved every visit since. I've had a few fillings done, and had a night guard made, and appreciated having a TV in the ceiling to watch while the team went to work. The front desk staff is friendly, professional, and well-informed. I'm very happy with the service I've received, and so are my teeth!
