We went in for a crown for my teenage daughter who has severe anxiety. We opted to do their lifetime whitening treatment prior to going ahead with a crown while we worked on getting my daughters anxiety under control. They told me the trays would be ready within a few days but two weeks or more went by before they were finally ready. Only 2 tubes of whitening gel were sent home, so she used those and did not really see results. A few months went by and we finally had her anxiety under control but needed to do the whitening again, so we called for more gel... as we were told when we purchased the "Lifetime whitening" that we would pay for the trays and could pick up more whitening gel as needed, no strings attached, as long as she was a patient there. We were then told that she needed to be seen for a cleaning first, because she would have to have a cleaning every 6 months in order to receive a refill on whitening... not what we were told when we purchased them.. but ok. We decided at this point to switch dentists because we weren't happy about being lied to in regards to what I thought I was purchasing. We went for a "cleaning" just to get a refill on whitening gel while we waited for her appointment at her new dentist. We scheduled our entire day around this appointment and drove 30 minutes there. We sat waiting 30 minutes beyond her appointment time and when we were finally called back, they said they needed to do xrays. I told them we didnt want xrays because she was scheduled at a new office and they would be doing them there.. that we were just there for a cleaning so she could get her refill for her whitening treatment because the first 2 tubes didnt result in the desired result and we wanted to continue on so that she could proceed with getting her crown at a later date with her new dentist. The hygenist was very kind but had to ask the doctor who was working if she could proceed without xrays. I heard him from another room to tell me that its required by law to have xrays once a year in order to proceed with a cleaning.... which is a bold face lie. There is no such law in the state of NC that requires xrays before a dental cleaning can be done. The audacity of them to think that I am so ignorant that I would believe this lie, is appalling... This is a tactic used because they know that insurance will cover yearly xrays and they want that insurance money. So they refused to do the cleaning because we wanted to wait on xrays to be done at the new office she will be going to. Therefore, they would not give us a refill of the whitening gel we had paid for previously, not only that, but we wasted the entire afternoon and unnecessary anxiety for my teen, waiting both to be seen and sitting in the exam room while they decided if they were going to do her cleaning or not. I was told the practice owner would be in touch with me about the refund I requested for the lifetime whitening we purchased but have not been able to really use, but have yet to hear anything.

The staff are always friendly, prompt, and thorough with my semi-annual cleaning and overall dental health checkup. From the time you enter the front door until you depart, they are always giving excellent customer service. It helps when you bring them gifts of peanut butter fudge.

I had my first visit with Dr. Phelps today and was extremely pleased with the level of service I received. Keeley was my Dental Hygienist. She was very welcoming and thorough. Dr. Phelps was great at describing possible areas to focus on and also helped to put my mind at ease from my own concerns. I have already recommended Dr. Phelps to my wife and will continue to choose her as my Dentist moving forward.

Sad to say I can't rate their dental services, but If you are thinking about trying to make an appointment with this dental office as a NEW PATIENT look elsewhere. I called this office because my dental insurance had them listed as participating and accepting new patients. Evidently due to their advertising they are booked with no appointments for new patients until June 2022 and no list for cancellations. What a shame, from all the reviews appeared to be a good office, but if they aren't taking new patients they need to let the insurance companies they participate with know they have no appointments for new patients! First lady I talked with was very helpful and was going to try to get me worked in, but needed to ask the office manager, who in turn picked the phone up and said "no new patient appointments until end of May or first of June and no cancellation list". I need to get deep cleanings started with a new dentist as I have heart disease and dental disease, not like I was asking for full dental work. Guess the hunt for a good dentist continues.

Dr. Phelps and staff are helpful, fast, and try to make your visits and quick and painless as possible. Today Savanna and Dr. Phelps were gentle and genial and I felt I was in good hands - as usual. I have always had pleasant experiences with Dr. Phelps and her great crew, even when getting a simple filling.

UGH...I have a dentist appointment coming up!!! These were the exact words (and a few others) I used to say every time I had a dental appointment. This was BEFORE switching to Dr. LAURA PHELPS. I have been a patient of Dr. Phelps for almost a year now and she has changed my outlook about dentists. I no longer suffer with extreme anxiety and fear before my appointments. Kudos to her and her staff....they really are the best!

Dr. Phelps and staff were very professional and helpful during both appointments! This was the first time going to a dentist and not feeling any pain, during the drilling process, etc. I opted to have several teeth (8) prepared for crowns, at the same time. Dr. Phelps and her staff gave extra effort to ensure a safe and comfortable experience!! They were great! I highly recommend Dr Phelps for anyone's dental needs!!

We grew up hearing our mom say, "Protect your teeth!". This is the best place to do that. Teresa is the best and most organized office manager EVER. She immediately gives you a printed quote for pending work, juggles the phone and requests - all with a smile. My Hygienist is Brandy. LOVE HER! She is always so pleasant but stays efficient and does a great job getting my teeth smooth and fresh without causing any pain. I haven't seen any of the other Hygienists and I'm sure they are fine, but I'm on record as saying, "If Brandy is out, reschedule my appt.". Luckily, Brandy has a great work ethic and she's always there. Dr. Laura is awesome! She is very down to earth and funny while instilling confidence. She gives a thorough double check after the cleaning. She examines your jaw function, feels under and around your tongue for problems and even checks your neck and throat for lumps. They have never tried to oversell dental procedures. They watch for issues and make recommendations but it never feels "money driven". She's been watching an old crown that has a lot of gaps but no cavity. She gave me the option of continuing to monitor or do a preventative replacement. The crown is NINETEEN years old so I chose replacement. I'll be seeing her and Lauren in March and I'm not even dreading it. If you are new to the area or just need a change, this is where you want to come. Their Covid response is excellent. They wear masks and face shields, they limit capacity in the waiting area, they had a special ventilation system installed in the procedure room, they take temperatures and they even have 2 cups of pens at reception. One is marked CLEAN and when you use one, you put it in the cup marked DIRTY. I feel extremely comfortable coming here.

Dr. Phelps and her team provide personalized and consistent care during routine cleanings as well as during more in-depth visits. I feel like I am the only patient in the office when I am there, and I believe the other patients feel the same. Thanks!
