Dr. Ji Kim received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Since then, he has devoted many hours to continuing education courses and has gotten certified in cosmetic orthodontics (Invisalign). He is a fellow member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and has taken numerous courses in implantology in order to provide the best in dental implant care. In 2014, 2015, and 2016, Dr. Kim was voted by his peers as one of Hawaiis Best Dentists in Honolulu Magazine. Dr Kim believes that patients always come first, and he always strives to do the very best for each and every single patient.
Dr. Kim has completed many mission trips to places such as Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, and the Phillipines. He enjoys golfing and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Manami, have two daughters, Maya and Yuna, as well as a dog named Kona.
Dr. Brooke Burgess Uperesa was born & raised in Aiea & graduated from Punahou School. She received both her Biology undergraduate degree and Dental degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She is a member of ASDA, ADA, HDA & several dental study groups. She also has taken several continuing education courses in endodontics and dental implant placement. Dr. Brooke has been recognized by her peers as one of Hawaiis best dentists over the past several years. Dr.Brooke provides a full range of preventive & restorative dentistry & welcomes patients of all ages.

I really like this place. I avoided the dentist for over a decade after a really bad experience someplace else. Last year we moved here and I finally got up the nerve to go. It is really important to me to have female medical providers, so I see Dr. Brooke. The entire staff has been super accommodating and lovely every time I've gone (despite the fact that I cried out of fear in the chair during my first visit) I've had three cleanings so far and they've been so great each time that I'm almost completely over my fear of the dentist.

I had procedure scheduled to extract a wisdom tooth. I called the morning of and asked if they could send pain meds prescription ahead of time to Walgreens so I could go home immediately after procedure. Receptionist said ok. I called fours later to follow up. SAME receptionist giggled and said she never got around to it. Then tells me standard procedure is to call in meds while I'm in surgery. I explained im by myself and didn't want to wait around forever in Walgreens. She just brushed me off. Very rude and lack of customer service. Dealing with patients might need more retraining. I asked for meds to be sent day of procedure and she acted like I asked for illegal substances. I have always been able to get meds prepped ahead of time but maybe the process was over her head. Looking at other offices who appreciate their patients and don't treat them like an inconvenience.

The atmosphere at the dental office is good. I like that you get to watch TV on the ceiling well they are working on your teeth. The dental hygienist and the dentist were very nice and explained everything very well so it was easy to understand the process that comes with the check up and cleaning. I would definitely recommend this dental office and return.
