For several years, Dr. Colin Lathrop has honed his skills working as a dentist in the Houston area. His lifelong patients appreciate his friendly chairside manner and high level of skill in all aspects of dentistry. In June of 2013, Houstonia Magazine named Dr. Lathrop one of Houstons top dentists. In December of 2013, Dr. Lathrop opened his own, brand-new dental practice in Katy, TX. He chose the Katy area because, despite its bustling growth, it still retains a friendly, small-town feel and unparalleled quality of life.
Dr. Lathrops philosophy is to treat every patient as an individual, not as just a dental health case. He is passionate about preventing problems before they occur, especially for children who are still developing their teeth and oral structures. For instance, he offers early orthodontic intervention to minimize childrens need for orthodontics later in life.
Dr. Andrew Lequang is a 2018 graduate of Midwestern University and joined our practice in 2021. He is certified in Invisalign and specializes in cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr, Lequang truly loves dentistry and working with such great patients as well as a fantastic team.. He appreciates they trust they place in him to provide the best possible dental work.
Dr. Martin Youngs graduated from Texas Tech University with cum laude honors and a BS in biology in 2003. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from UT Health Houston School of Dentistry in 2009, and completed a residency in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program in 2010 at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dr. Youngs began his career in private practice in Houston in August 2010.
Dr. Youngs is a member of the Texas Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and the Academy of General Dentistry. He received an associated fellowship from the Academy of GP Orthodontics in 2014, and earned a fellowship award from the Academy of General Dentistry in July of 2016. Dr. Youngs is the past president of the North Houston Dental Study Group (2014 to 2015). He is committed to continuing education and takes many advanced courses each year to enhance his skills to better serve the dental needs of his patients and provide them with a gentle and comfortable dental experience.
Meranda joined Lathrop Dental Center as an RDA in 2013. A graduate of Brazos High School, Meranda attended The Academy of Health Care Profession in 2000, Blinn College in 2010, and Wharton Junior College in 2011. She received her Radiology Certificate in 2002, her Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Inhalation Conscious Sedation Certification in 2009, and her ACLS Certification. After 14 years in the dental industry, Meranda still finds joy in helping patients achieve personal goals and obtain healthy, radiant smiles. When shes not at the office, Meranda enjoys outdoor hobbies, such as boating, skydiving, fishing, and biking. She also likes dancing and antique shopping with friends and family.
Traci joined our team in 2015. She obtained her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Wharton County Junior College and her Bachelor of Science on Biology from A&M. She completes continuing education courses every year to further her knowledge of dentistry. Traci loves the chance to meet so many new people and learn about their lives and their travels. When not at the office, she enjoys being outdoors and fishing from her boat or in the surf.
Nicole joined our team in 2014. She has over 20 years of experience in dentistry, and each year, she completes continuing education courses to further her skills and knowledge. Nicole loves meeting new patients and hearing about their lives. When not at the office, she enjoys fishing, playing on the beach, sports, and spending time with her son at his baseball games. You have to want it to get it.
Shannon obtained her Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Wharton County Junior College, and then joined our practice in 2014. Each year she completes continuing education courses to further her knowledge of dentistry. She loves the opportunity to meet new people every day. She is a member of the Texas Right to Life organization and the Texas Dental Hygienists Association. Outside of the office, Shannon enjoys weekends on Lake LBJ, wake boarding, traveling, staying active, and spending time with family.
Shelby graduated from Sealy High School in 2010. She joined the practice as a dental assistant in 2013. She has completed continuing education courses in coronal polishing and pit and fissure sealants. Shelby considers her patients to be family and loves how positive and happy they are. When not in the office, she enjoys sports, spending time with her family, and relaxing.
Kelsey joined our team in 2016, after receiving her Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Wharton County Junior College. She enjoys taking care of her patients smiles, and her patients appreciate her hard work and dedication. During her free time, Kelsey enjoys being outdoors, fishing, and spending time with her dachshund, Reagan.
