Dr. George spent a year-long residency for colon and rectal specialization at the Schumpert Medical Center at Louisiana State University. After spending 6 years at the Kaiser Foundation Medical Center in California as an attending surgeon.
Dr. Knolmayer has served in the U.S. Air Force for nearly 28 years and included four combat tours to Afghanistan and Iraq. He retired the summer of 2014. He has lived in the Anchorage area for more than 12 years and works on staff atProvidence Hospital,Alaska Regional Hospital, theAlaska Native Medical Centerand the673rd Medical Group at Elmendorf.His second passion is racing sled dogs and he has completed theIditarod Trail Sled Dog Racetwice among many shorter races. Dr. Knolmayer currently lives in Eagle River with his wife Tina and his two children Zane and Madeline.
