Dr. Sameer Kapoor is a native from Allentown, PA. He graduated fromParkland High School and attended Temple University where he received hisBaccalaureate and a Masters degree in Biomedical Science with high honors.Upon graduating, Dr. Sam became a college professor teaching Biology,Anatomy and Physiology. However, it was always his dream to become adentist, so he took off to the State University of New York for dentalschool.
Throughout dental school, Sam found himself gravitating toward a career inperiodontics and once he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery, he decidedto continue his studies in periodontics at Indiana University PurdueUniversity Indianapolis, where he graduated with a Master of Science inPeriodontology and a minor in oral pathology. During this time, Dr. Samworked at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Indianapolis, where heobtained a certificate in periodontics and dental implant surgery. Hereceived advanced training in dental implant surgery, gum grafting, bonegrafting, oral surgery, sedation and oral medicine. Dr. Sam credits histime at the Veterans Center for his ability to create a calmingenvironment for his patients with high anxiety- a gift his patientscontinue to tout today. Sams extensive medical journey prepared him wellin understanding how oral health plays into a patients overall health. Samis passionate about getting to know his patients and offering them the moststate-of-the-art techniques in periodontics and dental implant surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Sam enjoys spending time with his family. Dr. Samsentire extended family resides in the Lehigh valley. Dr. Sams wife is adermatologist. She sub-specializes in MOHS and Cosmetic Surgery andpractices in the Lehigh Valley. The two of them enjoy spending time withtheir latest addition to the family, little baby Harris. Dr. Sams oldersister is a gastroenterologist, who also practices in the Lehigh Valley.Dr. Sam is very passionate about giving back, and has a lengthy history ofhelping those in need around the world- whether its raising money forthose displaced after an earthquake or collecting clothes for refugees.
Elliot Shear, DDS, a Lehigh Valley native from Allentown, PA, is a specialist in the private practice of periodontics and dental implants, located in Bethlehem, PA. His affiliations with many professional organizations, including active membership in the ADA, The American Academy of Periodontology, The Delaware Valley Academy of Osseointegration, and others, allows the practice to stay on the cusp of research and clinical treatment.
As a periodontist, Dr. Shear's primary concern is the preservation of the natural dentition and the regeneration of lost periodontal tissues. If preservation of natural teeth or regeneration of periodontal tissues cannot be achieved predictably due to advanced disease, his goal is to restore health, function and aesthetics through competent implant therapy.

I am always smiling. I have been working with Dr. Shear since 2010 and in my dental profession, over the past three decades, I have enjoyed many years performing in all aspects of dentistry. I value providing the best possible individual care for our patients' needs. I reside in Bethlehem and enjoy classical music, reading and travel. My pride are my three daughter and four wonderful grandchildren.
Elke has relocated to the Lehigh Valley area after living in Central Florida for the last 25 years. She has joined Dr. Shear's team in 2012 as Office Manager bringing 25 years of dental experience. Her smile is the first thing you will see when you visit our practice. In her free time she enjoys her family, travel and of course her three beautiful grandchildren. She is a life-long NY Giants fan being raised in NJ living near the Meadowlands.
