I have been twice now to Dr. Choby's office, and both times I am so impressed with her professionalism, her kindness and care, her incredible knowledge and super smarts, her high-tech instruments, her calm aura that calms me, and her thoughtful explanations. While I only needed consult and 3-D CT scan of my teeth both times, after what I've been through with root canals elsewhere, I will go to her for my next root canal. But hoping I won't need one! Her assistant, Kat, is super efficient and personable, and I feel like I'm in the best hands at this facility.

My son needed an immediate root canal because he was in so much pain. I called several endodontists in NOVA they couldn't get him in soon enough because of the impending snow storm. Rt 50 Dental referred Dr. Choby. When I called to make an appointment, Kat, the practice administrator put us on the right path and re-arranged Dr. Choby's schedule to meet the urgency. Dr. Choby and staff moved the appointment up a day to avoid the snow storm. Their facility is very clean and definitely followed COVID guidelines. I would recommend Dr. Mary Ann Choby and her staff for the great patient care!

Dr. Choby was very accommodating. She took the time to make sure I was comfortable and numb enough to procede with our procedure. Nothing was rushed, she made sure everything was done with quality. Great experience!!!

My best dental experience ever. Dr. Choby was kind and gentle, she made sure everything was comfortable for me during the whole visit and the root canal she performed was fantastic. Will recommend Dr. Choby to everyone.

Though I was very anxious about getting a root canal (my first), my experience was Dr. Choby was professional, caring, informative--and I am pleased to say--painless. Her expertise and confidence were evident throughout the procedure, easing me into everything along the way. While I hope to not need another root canal anytime soon, if I ever do, I would gladly return to Dr. Choby!

Dr. Choby did a root canal on a rear upper molar for me. It was a fairly complex procedure (calcified roots), and she worked on me for two hours. Despite the amount of work required, she charged me the regular price. My dentist said she did a good job on the root canal. A few critical comments: she needed to do a CT scan, but did not position me correctly to image the rear molar. She had to re-do the scan, which exposed me to additional x radiation. She has a tendency to mumble while she works, which can be unnerving. I would prefer if she would speak loudly enough for the patient to hear what's happening. She seems introverted and appears tentative in what she is doing. I'm sure she knows her stuff, but I would prefer an endodontist who projects more confidence.

I was in a dire situation with an abscessed tooth in the middle of the forced quarantining. The office of the endodontist I was originally referred to did not respond to my calls. Finally after I alerted Dr. Lebo to that fact he called and found they had closed their office and referred me to Dr. Choby's practice. They set up an appointment for me very quickly and were both very hospitable. The root canal was very difficult with 3 or 4 different nerves in my very large molar. She persisted and when Dr. Lebo looked at the x-ray he pronounced it a excellent job. They also take both my primary and secondary insurance and were very accommodating in providing the correct paperwork.

Dr. Choby recently performed a root canal on one of my molars, and I was very pleased with her service and the results. I have high dental anxiety, and I am always on edge while in the chair. Dr. Choby was sure to take her time explaining everything to me step by step, even answering my mumbled questions along the way. I was most impressed with her determination to get everything cleaned and filled thoroughly the first time so that there would be no complications later down the road. I eventually was able to relax, and surprisingly enough, dozed off a few times during the procedure. I had minimal pain afterwards and have already recommended her to a coworker who needs a root canal, as well.

I am so pleased one hundred percent happy with our experience. This women absolutely has an amazing touch for children. My son just went through a very traumatic experience a few days prior to our appointment. He wrecked on his electric scooter breaking one front tooth completely in half and chipping a big portion off the other front tooth. He has facial trauma also aside from his teeth. My son is terrified of exstensive dental work... mind you he is 13. She was so delicate and kind and patient and soft spoken and worked so well with him to get him relaxed and ease his anxiety. She did a fabulous job and I can tell you I have my issues with dental facilities and I was a nervous wreck worrying if I was going to have to make a scene. But no way. This place has such kind sweet caring true to their word professional people. If you need a root canal done... THIS IS YOUR PLACE. I trust no dental places at first takes some warming up for me... but this was my first time there and I have to give 100 stars if they were available. Thank you so much for taking care of my boy. You deserve so much more than just some reviews and stars.

Dr. Mary Ann Choby DMD MS, has considerably more certification, degrees and education than most dentists. She has done all my root canals. In every case, the next dentist who puts a crown on Dr. Choby's root canal for each tooth has said after examination and looking at x-rays that her work is perfect. She is meticulous and checks her work with ongoing x-rays. She will redo any aspect of the process if she does not achieve her highest standards. This is a tremendous comfort. I found her online for my first root canal--what a stroke of luck. She is located in Tyson's Corner, VA. Subsequently, I moved from the area to Western Maryland, but my husband I drove in to Dr. Choby's office after I was informed by my regular dentist that a new root canal was needed. In the future, if more complicated work has to be done, her office will be the first one I call.
