Dr. Richard L. Bucher has been practicing dentistry in his home state of New Jersey for over 28 years. After earning his dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark, he went on to complete a one-year general practice residency at the UMDNJ University Hospital. He has been in private practice at Laser Dentistry of North Jersey in Oakland, New Jersey, since 1991. In order to keep current on the latest advances in dental and laser technology, he takes ongoing courses through a number of prestigious institutions, including the Pankey Institute in Florida and the World Clinical Laser Institute. He has been laser certified since 1997. Dr. Bucher is a member of several noted dental associations, including the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, Bergen County Dental Society, the Academy of Laser Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the World Clinical Laser Institute, the L.D. Pankey Alumni Association, and the Dawson Study Club. He is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), an honor bestowed upon him by his peers to acknowledge his leadership and commitment to continuing dental education. When not providing quality comprehensive and cosmetic dentistry to Oakland and surrounding areas, Dr. Bucher can be found with Annemarie, his wife of 29 years, and their 19 year-old twin sons, Jack and Maxwell. Both Dr. and Mrs. Bucher enjoy spending time with their sons, skiing, exploring the outdoors, fishing and making wine at home.

I have not been to a dentist in a long time and my family (who are patients) highly recommended this practice... I'm so glad I decided to give them a try! The entire staff is courteous, friendly and welcoming! You feel like family from day one of your visit! State of the art equipment, very clean and very thorough! No judgments, very respectful and professional! This is my dentist from now on and I will recommend him to all who ask!

I took my daughter for a new patient visit and Dr Bucher was fantastic with her and me too for that matter! The office is clean and the staff is warm and friendly.. a real win in my book!

Kelly the receptionist is host ,As far as dds Richard bucher i think hes way over priced for the work i wanted done, An as far as his few graduating plaques that dorn his office ( No i wasn't impressed) while u await the news he wants $ 40.000 for 12 teeth including only 2 implants , (i came in wanting a bridge but he attempted to upsell me through his billing receptionist) ,everything else being crowns? 5 thousand for a porcelain crown when most are charging 1200.00 - 1500.00?There are better options and prices , there are places doing full mouth upper an lower implants for $40.000.00 , so ill Shop around.. i did notice that the past reviews dont mention the specific work thats supposed to have been done it tells u how nice they are however while being plesant matters whats more important is the work being performed and the cost of how much it is for the work being done ..they also tried to shop me over to a root canal specialist i guess yeah jus keep passing business to his buddies..i wasn't buying it..

As always, Dr. Bucher and his staff are amazing. I had to have a crown replaced, and Dr. Bucher did a great (pain-free job). Courtney did a pronominal job making the crown. The color and fitting are perfect!!! My old crown (done by a different dentist) did not match my other teeth and there was a gap between my crown and my gums, so it was obvious that it was a crown. Now it looks perfect!
