Dr. Farnsworth received his doctorate of dental surgery from Temple University School of Dentistry, in Philadelphia PA, one of the top rated schools in the country. Dr. Farnsworth has a large array of clinical training and experience that he received by serving in the U.S. Air Force in Dulce New Mexico, Apache Indian Reservation, and his own private practices in Farmington NM, and currently in Mesa AZ.
Dr. Farnsworth did his training in the U.S. Air Force and is one of an elite group of dentists to offer Elite Smile Makeovers in the state of Arizona. He is also one of only 600 dentists nationally who have trained at the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry and is licensed to perform Laser Periodontal Therapy.
Dr. Farnsworth has been recognized by his service to his country, his community, and to his patients. He has received recognition by receiving the Meritorious Service Medal by the USAF, he has been featured by and American Dental Association (ADA) for his service of the underprivileged, March 2007, recognized as a top business in Mesa AZ in 2008, 2009 and has been recognized as one of Americas Top Dentists Several times throughout his career.
Dr. Derek Farnsworth is proud to serve patients in the East Valley where his family has established deep roots. He enjoys being a part of the community in and out of the Dental office. Dr. Farnsworths philosophy when treating patients is centered on patient education. The more a patient understands about the health of their bodies, the better they can care for them. Education is very important to Dr. Farnsworth, which is why he spends many hours taking continuing education courses in all aspects of Dentistry. Dr. Farnsworth has been trained in Dental implant placement and restoration, bone grafting techniques, Root Canal therapy, Cosmetic Dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, implant supported dentures, Orthodontics using Invisalign aligners, and many other areas of General Dentistry. By understanding these aspects of Dentistry, Dr. Farnsworth is better able to treat patients with a wide variety of dental needs. When Dr. Farnsworth is not in the office you can usually find him spending time with his wife Kristen and their 5 beautiful children. He enjoys coaching his kids soccer teams and attending their dance and music recitals. Family is the most important thing to Dr. Farnsworth and he feels like each of his patients and staff members are part of his family.

I am pleasantly surprised to say that I love this dentist office. I get a lot of anxiety around going to the dentist. Especially because I didn't have dental insurance for many years and did not keep up on the maintenance of my teeth. Everyone at Las Sendas Dental Health treated me kindly and really helped ease my anxiety. I had to come in for a very extensive deep cleaning and I was thinking I was going to be in a lot of pain and honestly I had no pain at all and it was actually better than a lot of regular cleanings that I've had. My dental hygienist was so sweet and asked me right away if I was worried about the procedure if I had ever had it before. She kept me up to speed on everything she was doing and checked in with me constantly during the service. It couldn't have gone better. My husband has also come in and had an amazing experience. I also referred my mother and my grandmother. Thank you for helping me get my dental health back on track!

Walking in was very welcoming. I was offered coffee and water by the friendly assistants. The new patient process was smooth sailing. Overall the office was very nice and clean. As a registered Dental Hygienist I can vouch 1st hand for the expertise and quality of care and relationship Las Sendas Dental Health has for its patient's.I have worked locally for many different dentists and this is the office I choose to use.I have had 2 implants,extraction,crowns and a root canal done over the years along with cleanings and restorative fillings. I am very satisfied with my care.
