Dr. Thi Hoang graduated from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2007 and continued her training at their Advanced Education in General Dentistry in Union City. She has practiced dentistry for nearly ten years now and is very passionate about being a dentist.
Dr. Hoang is passionate about her career and life, and it shows through to all her patients, family, friends, students, and especially her dental team. With her compassionate and outgoing personality, she treats all patients as if they are family. She believes good first impressions are essential in creating a long-lasting and trusting relationship. It is very important to her that patients are comfortable and satisfied in their visit, whether it is their first time in the dental chair or a veteran. Dr. Hoang thoroughly enjoys being a dentist. She loves coming to the office and working with the team that she has built over the past few years. But what she loves most is how many lives they have impacted. It is a fulfilling feeling for her to see the trust patients put in her and her team, and how their recommendations have led patients to achieve great oral health.
Dr. Hoang's continued passion for dentistry has also lead her to take on an exciting role as one of UOP's radiology faculty members since 2011 and is known to be a tough instructor. She teaches students proper techniques to take digital radiographs in order to minimize radiation and helps them interpret X-ray images, detect cavities, abnormalities, lesions, etc. She also hopes to inspire her students to become great dentists in the future.
Outside of dentistry, she is a loving mother of three beautiful and rambunctious children. As a family, they donate their time to various non-profit programs such as SF Food Bank, Project Open Hand, and more. On the side, she loves to attend music concerts and is always enthusiastic about trying new restaurants. Recently she has been spending her spare time at home in the crafts room making unique projects for family, friends, and the office.
She is one of our spunky dental assistants who is always ready to tend to patient needs and bring a big smile to their face with her kindness. Theresas fun personality and positivity is an asset to our office; she makes the days go by faster and is always ready to lend a helping hand, even when not asked. Theresa admires the caring, family friendly environment at our dental office and is heavily inspired to become a dentist in the future.
In her spare time, Theresa enjoys binge watching Netflix shows and babysitting her four baby nieces. On the weekends, you can probably catch Theresa watching her favorite bands in concert or going to other music events.
Kawe graduated from the dental hygiene program at Chabot College. Kawe was actually born in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu, and moved to California when she was a child. Prior to becoming a hygienist, Kawe worked part time at Auntie Anne's Pretzels, then began her journey in the dental field as a dental assistant.
She always saw herself working in the medical field and was torn about becoming a nurse because she wanted a field more focused and specialized. Kawe realized that she grew up in a family that did not take care of their teeth, and she wanted to do better for them and herself. She wanted to take better care of her own oral health as well as educate her family on the importance of dental hygiene. That sole realization determined her career choice, becoming a dental hygienist to not only share her knowledge with her family, but also better her community. Kawe loves that being a dental hygienist can be challenging but rewarding and fulfilling at the same time. She enjoys helping patients build their self -esteem by fixing their teeth and smiles. The most rewarding part of her job is being able to put a patient's anxiety and fears about dentistry at ease.
In Kawes spare time, she loves to spend time with her family. Some of her hobbies include hula dancing, bike riding, walking her dog, hiking around the bay and going on adventures with her boyfriend. Kawe enjoys catching up on Netflix series and reading mystery, thriller and suspense novels. An interesting fact about Kawe is that she is a lefty! Being left-handed in dentistry is not only rare, but can be challenging to work with a team that is mainly right handed. In the future, Kawe would like to become a hygienist that is able to travel to different parts of the world and educate patients in need.
Sharon received her Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Davis. After working a few years as an administrator for a biotech company, she realized her heart was in patient care and decided to continue her dream of becoming a dental hygienist. She completed her second bachelor's degree at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry's dental hygiene program.
She is very passionate about providing her patients with optimum dental care in the most comfortable and friendly environment. She truly enjoys cleaning teeth and helping patients take care of their teeth and gums. She feels successful at what she does when patients leave with clean teeth and no cavities or gum problems! If you have any questions about your oral health or how to best take care of your smile, ask her, she has plenty of information she would love to share with you!
Sharon grew up in Union City and currently resides in the Ardenwood area of Fremont. She has a lot of family in the area and has always considered the Bay Area her home. When Sharon isn't busy playing with her daughters, she enjoys doing arts and crafts, photography, recreational volleyball, cooking and going to Disneyland!
Patient care is Janelle's number one priority and with her gentle touch, she ensures every patient in her care is comfortable. Being very thoughtful, she also provides great hospitality and is a great listener. Janelle is very sweet and detail oriented, which makes her a great fit for our office and to our patients.
Janelle grew up in Redwood City and currently travels from San Mateo to care for her patients here. When not in the office, her son keeps Janelle on her toes! In her free time, she enjoys crafts and photography. One of her goals in life is to learn as many languages as she can and travel the world with her family.
Amanda is our bubbly and friendly office manager. She is always ready to greet patients with a warm hello and sweet smile. Amanda is currently working toward her associate degree in business management to broaden her managerial skills.
She specializes in treatment planning as well as insurance coverage and benefits. If a patient has any questions or concerns, Amanda is always willing to help. Her favorite aspect of working at our dental office is being able to see patients leave with a big grin and sparkly teeth.
Born and raised in Union City, Amanda is very family oriented and is not afraid to try new things or be adventurous. She has many interests and hobbies. She was previously a nanny for several years and her passion to care for children attributes to her sense of warmth and kindness. On the weekends, Amanda loves to dance and explore new restaurants. She is up for trying any delicious food and takes any recommendations.
Lexi is our upbeat and friendly Insurance Coordinator. She is local to Union City, where she grew up and currently lives. Lexi attended SF State, where she studied liberal arts and teacher education and played softball.
She is an avid softball player and has played the majority of her life. Before working at Las Positas Family Dental, Lexi lived in Chandler, Arizona, for three years and worked as a server. Lexis restaurant and serving skills make her a great asset to our office, bringing diversity to the dental team and providing excellent customer turned patient service.
Lexi chose the dental field because she loves to make our patients happy with opportunities of a new, confident smile. She also loves getting to know our patients and forming genuine relationships with them. Her favorite part of working at our office is seeing our patients enter and leave with a smile on their face. In the near future, Lexi plans to go back to school and obtain a degree in dental hygiene. Lexi is a hardworking mom, and she hopes to continue to grow her family and buy a home to call her own.
When Lexi is not working, she loves to spend quality time with her daughter and create fun-filled memories. Lexi has a beautiful and energetic daughter who looks just like her! Lexi and her daughter love to play outdoors to stay active, but also enjoy staying home to cuddle up and watch their favorite shows and movies. Lexi is super family-oriented and has a tight-knit relationship with them. Like the rest of our staff, Lexi loves to eat and try new things!
Jazzy grew up in Union City and currently resides in Hayward. Jazzy is very athletic and played competitively in softball, basketball, and soccer. She is currently finishing her studies in business and finance at CSU East Bay.
After working as a supervisor in San Francisco, Jazzy saw an opportunity arise to join our team. After doing much research, she became intrigued by what we do. She found it offers her a career with lots of different growth opportunities and provides a chance to help people improve their oral health care. After being with us for some time now, she enjoys working with the team and building rapport with our patients. Every day is different and gives her new challenges to grow, reach her goals, and become a better person in ways she never imagined. Being in the dental field can be tough, especially when it's something completely new to you. Jazzys competitive drive and spirit has helped her learn, grow, and thrive in her role.
On the weekends, Jazzy loves spending time with her family and friends, especially her adorable 6 year old daughter and french bulldog. She is passionate about living in the moment,being her true self, and cherishing the people she loves the most.
Kayla is one of our seasoned registered dental assistants. She achieved her Associate of Science degree in dental assisting from the College of San Mateo. She is a Bay Area native, but recently bought a house in Lathrop with her husband and three babies.
Since she was a child, Kayla loved anything sweet to eat, which meant frequent visits to the dental office. Those visits sparked her love for the dentist, hence the motivation for her to become a part of the dental world. She loves the dental field and hopes to become a dental hygienist in the near future. Prior to dentistry, Kayla was working in retail, and that paved her way to excellent customer service.
Kayla is always eager to learn new techniques that she can implement into her patient care. It is important that a patient is comfortable and always at ease, which makes her understanding and approachable for any questions or concerns. Kayla's bright smile and enthusiasm gives her the ability to create friendships with each patient, making them feel right at home. Her main goal is for every patient to be happy and confident with their smiles!
Kayla has two beautiful daughters and welcomed her first baby boy this year. Her children keep her life exciting and entertaining! She loves going to local concerts or festivals and adventures to new cities. When Kayla isnt busy with patients, you can catch her eating any sweets she can get her hands on in the breakroom.
Alisha is one of our enthusiastic and friendly registered dental assistants. She grew up in Reno, Nevada, and moved to California a few years back. Alisha attended Truckee Meadows Community College and worked in medical accounts receivable before becoming a dental assistant.
She was always interested in working in the dental field but did not realize the importance of oral health until recently. Alisha becomes more and more infatuated with the dental field everyday as she notices how much she actually helps patients become healthier and more aware of the importance of good oral hygiene. Alisha loves interacting with our patients and changing their perspective on dentistry as a whole.
In Alishas spare time, she tries to stay motivated in self-care. Alisha's goal is to become healthier and to make the best of herself by exercising and working out, but she faces the challenge of her love for food of all kinds. She has an adventurous spirit and one day would like to travel more and explore different cultures. In the future, Alisha hopes to become a RDAEF, allowing herself to be more independent when chairside with patients. By working at both our Livermore and Fremont offices, Alisha tries her hardest to help them grow to their truest potential.

I mainly visit the Mowry location, but have been to the Livermore office a few times. Livermore has the same great service and environment as Mowry, and I have always had amazing experiences here. Dr Theresa Hoang was very friendly and open, and I knew from the start that I could trust her judgement. Will be recommending this office to my friends and family!

It is so sad that we have to get fooled by all the fake reviews. I did the same, I waited for a month and they cancel my appointment without any reason and leave a VM. When i call back the lady doesn't know my information ? I spent one hour to give all my details while making appointment. WORST CLINIC . Don't waste your time

Approximately three weeks ago my dental bridge fell off, shortly after I booked my first appointment with Dr. Hoang; the staff was very cordial and Dr. Hoang was quick and thorough. The total cost to fix my bridge and rebuild the tooth below was approximately $3,700+ the dental assistant walked me through the cost and timeline. Fast forward to today, I show up for my appointment at noon and I am Quickly informed that full payment is needed upfront, And what credit card Will I be putting on file? I told the receptionist/office assistant that I did not want to use a credit card If there was second option, she stated she could send me a link to make a direct payment. I stated ok, that I could sort it out after my appointment. She Then went to the back and spoke to someone, she Came back and asked if I could pay half in credit card now and the rest via the payment link, I told her I was not comfortable in charging $1,850+, I could do $400 and the rest via the payment link. Again she went to the back, when she returned she said that I needed to pay all up front now. I told her that I was not comfortable paying for services that yet to be rendered, that I by no means was asking for something extraordinary. This time Flustered She went to the back again, when she returned she stated that we would need to reschedule that she would send me the link to make the total payment, upon receipt of the payment they would call to reschedule. It is now 9pm and I have received no link to make a payment, nor any call to apologize for the confusion, Or to check on my dental health, nothing. I would of appreciated if in my first meeting they would of explained their draconian payment policies, it would of been helpful. It would of been nice if they could of followed with a payment link this afternoon. Nevertheless it seemed they were stuck on me paying with my credit card and having me pay interest on the $3,700+. So in conclusion my experience with the technical staff was fine my experience with the front and back office was horrible. And Lastly, when I called another doctor i was informed that Dr. Hoang Office was over charging me by 30%. Overall a poor experience.

Las Positas Family Dental only made me feel so comfortable with all the dental office I've ever been to. I don't have any favorite because I trust all of them. Dr. Hoang & Dr. Pham are very gentle and all the dental hygienist! I walk out of that building very comfortable no matter what I get done. All staff are very friendly & thoughtful. The new building is very relaxing & comfy! I love everyone. Thank you to my friend & the manager of both office Amanda for always taking care of me! The whole team are amazing and always doing a great job! Thank you all!

When I was a little kid I was scared of the dentist office. My first time at Las Positas I had a lot of anxiety about my first visit. They gave me a bottle of bubbles and let me blow bubbles while waiting in the dentist chair and I am a 36 old grown man. What more do I need to say about this place! The staff was calming and quite fantastic!

LOVE Las Positas Family Dental!!! The office feels like a Spa...heavenly & relaxing.For me this is huge deal.I am very uncomfortable going to the dentist.Dr Hoang has created an amazing calming atmosphere with a very home like vibe for a pleasant dental experience.Definitely recommend bringing your family here.Great with children as well :)

The second you open the door you feel at home, the office is so clean and the decor gives off these positive vibes immediately that speaks volumes in itself. Then you are greeted by the staff and you just feel so welcomed and comfortable right from the start, I have been a patient here since they opened 3 years ago and prior to that I was a patient at their mowry office in Fremont for 3 years. They took the time to build a relationship with me, they care about my oral hygiene and they also care about me as a person. And that's an amazing feeling!! Dr. Hoang and Dr. Pham as well as all the assistants/hygienists really do an awesome job with handling my treatments/procedures they take their time, double check everything, and always explain everything they do making me feel extremely comfortable. I can say I fully trust every single one of the staff members. And it truly all started with Amanda she brought me to this dental office from the original office I grew up going to as a child. Amanda has been working there for 7 years and she is the most kind, attentive, hardworking staff member. She handles my insurance for me so I never have to stress, she always sends me reminders of my appointments/helps me coordinate through my busy schedule so I can squeeze in my visits. I've watched her grow with the office and she really hold it together. Overall, extraordinary staff and a beautiful office...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

OMG, this office is beyond beautiful. It is super clean and high tech. Came here recently for a quick fill since their office in Fremont was booked up. The atmosphere is really calm and serene, almost like a dental spa. Best part is that I was able to catch up on Netflix shows during my appointment. Wouldn't mind coming here again! Thanks Dr. Pham, Dr. Hoang, and Kayla for the friendly services.

First, I'd like to say how beautiful the office is. I was greeted by the assistant Minh who was super knowledgeable about anything insurance related. Per usual, I had great conversations with my hygienist, Tracy, about my recent trips to Hawaii while she thoroughly did my cleaning. Lastly, Dr. Hoang updated me on my cleaning and politely reminded me to constantly wear my night guard. Before I went to Las Positas Dental, I hadn't gone to the dentist in about a year and a half. Since I've been there (total of five visits), I've been able to greatly improve my care and I believe I was able to do so because of how they educate their patients. It's definitely worth the 45 minute commute from San Jose.

This family dental is beyond amazing! I have never seen such a well-kept environment and most sociable staff within any dental office that I had been to. I was referred to this office by friends and family members, so I figured, why not give them a shot? So, I decided to set an appointment for a consultation at the soonest available time slot and commuted all the way from Brentwood. And like stated in another review, parking was no hassle at all. As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed by Aida and Minh in such a clean, organized, and satisfying waiting area; they informed me about the way things worked at their office as well as their flexibility in terms of payment options. They took a look at my teeth with tender care, took x-rays, and I took off. Shortly after, the next appointment was made. Aida had called me with polite manners, (as opposed to other dental offices out there that are actually rude, demanding money and don't even bother to work around the schedules of their patients), once or twice following the consultation; she was very easy to speak with on the phone and within that week, I went in to have a cleaning, as well as some fillings done. As I had my cleaning and fillings done, I was approached by Minh and Dr. Pham who were most definitely down-to-earth and delightful. During the fillings, as I had anesthesia injected, Dr. Pham and Minh checked in frequently to make sure I was comfortable and not in any pain during the procedures. Dr. Pham even offered Netflix, to which I took the offer, and played Black Mirror, and we even had a short conversation about our favorite episodes while waiting for the anesthesia to kick in. At the end of the appointment, they informed me on how I can better my oral hygiene habits, to which I have picked up subsequent to the appointment. Now, my next appointment is toward the end of this year, and I am looking forward to seeing Aida, Minh, and Dr. Pham once again. I would like to take this review to appreciate the hardships and great lengths they go through to make the dental office such a pleasant setting. I recommend this office to anyone who is currently searching for a new dental office.

This has got to be the best and by far the most cleanest dental office I've ever been to. From the front office to the operatories, Las Positas family dental has you covered from A-Z. I would like to thank Dr. Pham & Aida for making me feel comfortable every time I come in for my check ups. Nothing but good vibes and great ambience throughout this dental office!

Of all the dental offices I have been to, las Positas has been by far the best! Tracy and dr hoang are very informative when it comes to my appointments, telling me what they are about to do and what they are doing during every procedure! Minh at the front desk is very kind and sweet and she was able to help me get all my info done from my insurance with a breeze, so now I don't have t worry about any bills from VSP! Because the last office I went to, they were so unorganized that they forgot to submit a bill to vsp and made me do it myself on my own time vs here It's not hassle free no worries. oh and los Positas office also uses new machines that are so high tech! And I love how they offer cute sunglasses to wear during your visit. HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try, I even dragged my boyfriend there to show him he deserve a better dentist lol

When our (Danville) Dentist of 20+ years suddenly retired earlier this year, we decided to find Dental practice here in Livermore for convenience. Upon high recommendation from our trusted Endodontist / Periodontist team, we didn't hesitate to call Las Postitas Family Dental office in hope they were accepting new patients. Fortunately (for us) they quickly scheduled our new patient evaluation-appointments. From the initial impression upon entering the office, the ambience is soothing, peaceful and calm. The layout is a very modern office design with the latest in high-tech equipment. However, it is anything but a sterile and cold environment. In fact, from the moment you are greeted at reception by any or all, of the friendly staff. You really feel the warm vibe. It is evident that these folks are caring and deeply passionate about of not only what they do but the people they serve. Of course, with all the latest gadgetry available you still need to feel a high degree of competency with your dentist. We've each had three appointments so far, with both Dr. Huang and Dr. Pham. Much to our delight, both dentists identified long-standing issues and suggested corrective measures. This was an incredible bonus to us, as their treatment options didn't directly benefit them, as we were referred back to our Specialists. This demonstrates the caring nature of this practice. From our interaction with the friendly staff, the energetic, enthusiastic and skillful hygienist Tracy, to the great Dentists, We couldn't be more pleased and proud to have found such good Dental care. Thank you Las Postitas Family Dental . Looking forward to many more years of great care!

I usually go to Fremont location, but the Livermore location is beautiful! Doesn't feel like you're at the dentist. All the staff here are really nice and knowledgeable. Definitely worth the drive if Fremont is booked with appointments.
