I have been interested in becoming a dentist since I was 6 years old. Currently, I have been in practice over 30 years, 23 of those as a pediatric specialist. My education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and graduating from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1986. I then joined the US Army and spent one year completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program (AEGD.) Following this I worked for several years as a general dentist, some in the U.S. Army, some operating a small practice owned by a large dental corporation in Wisconsin, my state of origin. I then completed a two year pediatric dental specialty residency at George Washington University/Childrens Hospital in 1994. I achieved Board Certification from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2002. I continually participate in continuing education activities to retain that certification and further my expertise in the specialty.
I am a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), past - President of the Washington State Dental Association (WSDA) and past-President of the Mount Baker District Dental Society (MBDDS). I am also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), past-President of the Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (WSAPD). As part of my ongoing effort to remain current in my chosen specialty I am a member of two regional Pediatric Dental study clubs. I also served as a member of the Dental Quality Assurance Commission (DQAC) Committee on Regulation which updated the sedation rules for WA dental providers.
I helped organize, and volunteered for, the Skagit County Dental Van which delivered reduced cost dental care to the most needy among us for the decade prior to the 2008 economic downturn. Currently I serve as Immediate-past President of the Board of Directors and acting Treasurer for theChildrens Museum of Skagit County. I am married to Mary Kay and we have one son. Aside from dentistry my interests include traveling, scouting, landscaping and most outdoor sports, especially all types of skiing.

I took my child to try this dentist. And we liked it at first but until one day when she had to get her teeth dried for some odd reason I don't know exactly why but anyway they made me go out of the room and it was outrageous, I could hear her screaming and crying. They forced a big plastic thing in her mouth to dry her teeth and did I mention they held her arms and legs down, the plastic thing was huge and I have no idea how it could fit in any child's mouth. I give this pediatric dentist a 1/5 rating.

Our experience here was AMAZING, and exceeded our expectations! Dr. Larson and his staff did a fantastic job with our very nervous kiddos. The staff was exceptional. From the lady who helped schedule the appt, to the receptionist to the hygienists. Toni was so nice and helped work up a payment plan that worked for us! The office is very kid friendly, and everyone there seemed genuinely happy to be doing their job. Dr. Larson is exceptional at working with kids and did a phenomenal job explaining every aspect of the appointment to me and to my daughter. His main goal is to make his patients feel comfortable from start to finish. He was gentle and knowledgable and even followed up with a phone call to check in on my daughter! That's what I call 5 star customer service!

We've had really positive experiences going to Dr. Larson for the last 2+ years with our young children (under 5 years old). The office is set up wonderful for kids with TV on the ceiling. They have been gentle and kind with my kids and have communicated very well with me. I highly recommend Dr. Larson and his team for any pediatric dentistry needs.

Ever since we found Larson Pediatric Dentistry we have been so happy with every aspect of our experience here. My daughter has been so comfortable and excited to come to the dentist every time. We are currently frequent flyers as we are having orthodontic care done so this is a good thing. I really like that being the parent, we are invited back and are with our children every step of the way. I would highly recommend DR. Larson to anyone and everyone looking for a great dentist for their kids.

My son is a patient of Dr Larsen and his treatment and care are exceptional. Dr. Larsen is one of only two Doctors in my lifetime who follows up with a phone call to check on my son. That kind of care is rare in today's rushed environment. The staff is friendly and helpful. Toni has been patient and worked with me when things were financially difficult and she is truly the best. Would never go to any other dentist.

My kids actually like going to the dentist! The team knows exactly how to make the kids feel comfortable and they even have fun. Dr. Larson is an expert in all areas from dentistry to orthodontics and takes great care in his work. You can't find a better dentist/orthodontist and staff in the Skagit Valley for your kids!
