When Dr. Frans Larson saw his first patient in 1919, he had no idea he was starting a tradition that has lasted over 100 years. 'Dr. Frans' took care of three generations of patients until he retired in 1978. After World War II, his sons Robert and James ('Dr. Bob' and 'Dr. Jim') joined the practice. And in 1974, 'Dr. Kim 's' name was painted on the door when he joined his dad, uncle and grandfather. And now, Dr. Kims son, 'Dr. Cory,' is the fourth generation of Larsons to practice dentistry on the corner of 17th and Washington Street NE.
Dr. Frans wouldn't recognize the building now. The practice uses the whole building not just 2nd floor. An elevator has been added. Large, comfortable operatories contain the latest equipment and technologies. His great-grandson can treat patients in ways he never dreamed - we now place dental implants! However, Dr. Frans would recognize the same quality of care and genuine concern for the patients well-being that has always been part of Larson Dental. Our patients recognize that - many of the same families seen by Dr. Frans are still patients today. We invite you to become part of the Larson Dental tradition!
Hundreds of our patients attended our 100 year block party in September 2019. Food, music, games and conversations filled this wonderful afternoon. Thank you to all who attended this memorable event at our Northeast Minneapolis location!

This is the best dentist I've ever been to. I have some significant trauma from previous dental work and everyone at Larson had made me feel so comfortable. Dr. Callie is my favorite dentist, but they are all great.

The entire team, from the front desk to the hygienist and dentist were all very friendly. Laurie, my hygienist today, was truly the best. She was very efficient, good at explaining what she was doing and answered my questions very clearly. Plus she had a good sense of humor.

For anyone looking for a new dentist, there is no one I can recommend more than Dr. Kallie. I have been to multiple dentists myself and hands down she is the best one. She not only knows her stuff; she makes sure you understand what is happening and what your options are. If you want a dentist who really cares about giving you the best smile possible that's Dr. Kallie! Also to top it off, the rest of the staff is amazing, everyone is super friendly, easy to talk to, and will explain everything you need to know around treatment, scheduling and billing.

Great experience for my two kids! Lovely and kind staff! Thanks Larson Dental! Edited to add: my husband and I switched to Larson Dental also and we couldn't be happier. Kind and skilled hygienists and dentists that actually make me want to go back (usually like pulling teeth hah to get me to a dental cleaning).

Angie (hygienist) gave me the best cleaning I've had today! She taught me new tips and tricks and made me feel extremely comfortable and actually HAPPY to be at the dentist! I look forward to my next cleaning with her. Also: The front desk staff is nothing short but amazing as well. I am thankful to have found Larson Dental!

Each and every appointment with Larson Dental is a positive one! They are so friendly and informative. I have learned so much about what is good and bad for my teeth and they are so nice while they clean. I can tell that the hygienists truly enjoy what they do and care about their patients and community. The tools appear new and the scheduling system provides reminders leading up to my appointment.
