Larry J. Melo DDS, MAGDDr. Melo is dedicated to helping you achieve a radiant and healthy smile! He grew up in Montreal, Canada where he attended McGill University to obtain his Bachelor Of Science degree in Physiology. He then obtained the Doctor Of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit- Mercy in 1992. Dr. Melo completed a one year General Practice Residency at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital in Utica, NY. He has been in private dental practice since 1993. As dentistry is a constantly evolving profession, Dr. Melo is a firm believer in continuing education and updating technology. He regularly attends training courses and study groups so that his patients can benefit from the latest advances, techniques and materials available. Dr. Melo has achieved The Mastership Award from The Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD). This award is presented to dentists who have completed 1100 hours of continuing education in the various disciplines of dentistry and have passed a rigorous examination. Mastership Award recipients represent less than 2% of all general dentists in the US and Canada. Dr. Melo is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, the Oneida- Herkimer Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Karen Brown RDH Karen graduated from Herkimer County Community College in 1997with an A.A.S in Math/Science before going on to Onondaga Community College for Dental Hygiene. She completed her Dental Hygiene Degree in 2000 and has worked for Dr. Melo since that time. Karen is a member of theAmerican Dental Hygienist Association. She is committed to helping her patients understand the importance of oral hygiene. Not only to preserve their smiles and function but also to maintain and/or improvetheir overall health. She is excited about new technologies in the Dental Health field.Karen enjoys seeing the positive changes in her patients' oral health.

Jennifer Ammermann RDH Jennifer graduated from Hudson Valley Community College in Albany, NY in 2005 with an A.A.S. in Dental Hygiene. She went on to receive her Certificate to Administer and Monitor Local Infiltration Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Analgesia in 2006. She is committed to helping people and to develop lasting relationships by promoting health and wellness with dental hygiene care. Jennifer prides herself in staying current with the latest research in preventative oral care. Jennifer is also a certified Phlebotomist, which is useful in assisting Dr. Melo with bone graft healing with dental implant cases. Jennifer has been working for Dr. Melo since 1999. She began her career with Dr. Melo as a receptionist. Jennifer also worked as a dental assistant before going on to college to get her dental hygiene degree. She has worked for Dr. Melo as a Dental Hygienist since 2010.
