I was amazed at Dr Hanus's knowledge connecting dental work and the brain. I have dementia concerns and he gave me resources to pursue. I definitely would recommend him.

Dr. Hanus is very kind, professional, and very detail oriented. He will take the time to sit down and explain everything to you. He shows you photos and x-rays of your teeth so you know exactly what's going on. He also teaches you how to better take care of your teeth in more detail than other dentists I've been to. I've had bad teeth all my life and I know I've had fewer cavities since I started implementing his tips. We're very cautious with COVID and he even allowed us to bring in our own air purifier ahead of time so we can feel safe during the appointment. All in all a great experience every time. I highly recommend Dr. Hanus!

The rudest, most condescending, self-serving, arrogant display of "care" by a "professional" I have ever witnessed in my 40 years. They prided themselves as being different the moment we walked in and they sure were, in the worst ways possible. Never have I witnessed a grown man and women, let alone "educated professionals" treat another human the way "Dr." and his assistant did. If this is what biological dentistry looks like, and believe me, those of us looking for alternative care look high and wide, I would much much rather choose traditional care any day. On top of all of that, they are located in what smells like a mold infested facility. How's that for someone who should be aware of the negative effects mold has on the body. A full report will be sent to every agency, yelp, BBB, American Dental Association, Iowa Board of Dentistry, SMART board, possible describing in detail the poor inexcusable treatment we received. And to think, this man is trusted to remove people's amalgam fillings. I wouldn't go near his ghetto facility with a 10 ft pole every again. Should have listened to our gut instincts from the get go via email correspondence.

After years of poor health, I finally came to the conclusion I needed to get my poisonous mercury amalgam fillings taken out of my teeth. I had over a dozen fillings that had mostly been placed when I was still in my teens (40 plus years earlier). I found Dr. Larry Hanus through an internet search for "Biological Dentistry", made my appointment, and had a thorough exam and discussion on the process needed to accomplish my goal of complete amalgam removal. I was scared of the process and worried about the outcome being what I needed. I found out I was in the best hands I could have found. The mercury removal was handled in a manner that was safe for me and the exposure as limited as was possible for all participants. He KNOWS what he is doing. He is so very committed to providing the best and most thorough, as well as, practical dental care he can. I am so very glad that I was able to have him provide me with such good and professional care! I do not doubt this effort has provided me a better health outcome. I will never use a 'standard' dentist again.

I went for an emergency and everyone was awesome! I needed some serious work and Larry was very in depth and detail oriented. He explained everything in depth. I was treated like a human, and the care I received was excellent. Some things were a new and positive experience compared to other dentists, but much more wholesome. I healed quickly and the directions I was given for home were thorough and helpful. My kids came with me, and we brought activities for them. They were welcomed there which was wonderful because we have had bad experiences where some places frown on children. Not here, it was more family oriented and friendly. I highly recommend going here.
