Today, Dr. Samir Hamdan has roughly a decade of experience helping patients maintain, restore, and enhance their smiles. But what sparked his interest in the field of dentistry? In short, he saw at a young age how challenging and crippling dental pain could be. Seeing the negative impact of not being able to smile inspired him to dedicate his life to relieving dental pain and crafting beautiful smiles. Even now, he loves working with his hands and learning the latest techniques to provide those in his treatment chair with the absolute best dental care.

Before attending dental school, Dr. Samir Hamdan graduated from the University of New Orleans. From there, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. However, his pursuit of education did not stop there. Each year, he spends countless hours on continuing education courses that cover dental esthetics, whitening, endodontics, oral surgery, and more. Dr. Samir Hamdans passion for dentistry extends beyond our office walls. In fact, he has volunteered with Mission of Mercy and Give Kids a Smile, which are organizations that provide free dental care to those in need. One of his favorite things to do in his free time, however, is spend time with his caring wife and two sons.

Dr. C.J. Landry was born into a military family while they were stationed in Leavenworth, Kansas. He grew up on Army bases in Texas, Louisiana, and his family even lived in Germany for four years. After his father retired from the military, they returned to the Westbank Louisiana area in 1971 and put down roots. Dr. Landry attended West Jefferson High School, where he excelled in academics, football, and wrestling. He graduated in 1974 and went on to Nicholls State University on a football scholarship. In 1978, he graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry. He went on to attend the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans where he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1982. Immediately after graduating from dental school, he opened his practice, Lapalco Family Dental, right here in Marrero.
