Dr. Rafaat received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1996. He then graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, in 2001. In addition, he completed an advanced general residency program that deepened his education in treating more complex cases. He is a member of the Virginia Academy of General Dentistry.

I have been going to Herndon Smile Design to include the Landsdowne location for 15 plus years. The treatment and care received from Amireeza Rafatt and his staff has always been top notch. If my insurance allowed for more frequent covered check-ups, I'd go once every 3 months.

I had an excellent experience at Herdon Smile. From the receptionist to the dental hygienist and dentist, everyone was friendly, skilled and thorough. Since we moved to VA, I fell behind with my regular dental check-ups. We are so happy to have found somewhere we love for our dental care. Our 20 year-old son was impressed as well and my husband is next for an appointment. I shared with the staff that I am very nervous sitting in the patient's chair. They were understanding and very patient with me. I have two small cavities to be filled and a large filling that needs replaced with a crown. I know I will be in good hands when I go in for my appointment in July. Aug 22, 2022 I had another wonderful experience at Herndon Smile today! They are on time, professional & always courteous with patients & each other. I highly recommend them!

Very happy with my dental care. I have been a client here for many years, and chose to stick with Dr. Rafaat with the move to Herndon from Lansdowne even though the drive is longer from Loudoun. Great office and staff.

I love this dentist. I've been coming here for years now and they always are quick and efficient and super awesome cost wise with the insurance I have. I have moved to arlington and still travel to Herndon because I trust them so much!!
