Coming from a family of dentists in South Korea, Dr. Chung long envisioned a career in oral health and has always maintained a high standard for his professional practice. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto, where he graduated with the highest of academic distinctions. Dr. Chung then went on to the University of Pennsylvania, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
When Dr. Chung is not promoting healthy smiles at the Leesburg office, he is doing so at stops around the world. He has traveled to Bolivia, Honduras, Kyrgyzstan, and China to offer emergency dental care to thousands of people. Closer to home, this passion extends to the homeless and underserved population in the Greater Washington, D.C., area, whom he serves by volunteering at the Mission Life Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
Dr. Chung is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. He was also selected among Americas top doctors in 2014 by the Consumers Research Council of America.

Dr. Chung helped me out in a pinch. Broke a crown few days before my flight to vacation and he finished repairing and replacing the crown within few hours! Explained all the procedures and executed exactly. Friendly and skillful for sure!

The best Dental Office I've ever been to. I hardly ever write any reviews, so for me to do this is a testament to how great this office is. His Office Manager Ashly Wilson, his Hygienist Emily, and his Dental Assistant Catherine are all amazing. I previously had a dentist for 20 years before Dr. Chung. After that, it took me a couple of years to find Lansdowne Dental Arts. Dr. Chung and his staff are amazing. Most dental offices I have been with have often surprised me with large-sum costs after I had finished my appointment. Dr. Chung's office, however, is very up front with costs and let's me know beforehand. I have bad teeth, and Dr. Chung is a miracle worker. He is very kind, professional, and knows exactly what he is doing. Whenever I go to any office, I often leave voice messages and never receive a call back. That is not the case with Dr. Chung's office. They consistently get back to me and call me back with answers to any questions I may have. My 24 year-old and my 19 year-old also go to Lansdowne Dental Arts, and we all love it. I 1000% recommend Lansdowne Dental Arts, and will continue to refer the office to everyone I know.

This dentist is an incompetent. He actually wrote an insulting letter to me for complaining, in a normal tone of voice, for the pain he caused! And he also refused to prescribe painkillers except for "traumatic injury". Stay away!

Beware. This dentist will not prescribe pain medication for anything except "traumatic injury'. He caused me tremendous pain - the whole right side of my jaw swelled up - and this man would not give me any pain medication for pain that HE CAUSED. I had to go to another doctor to get relief so that i could chew my food and sleep. And, in addition, Chung wrote me an insulting letter, just because I asked for pain medication. Unbelievable!

5 stars may not be enough. Dr. Chung of Lansdowne Dental Arts is simply outstanding. Schooled professionally as a graduate of Univ of Pennsylvania, accomplished with decades of experience and a true artisan in cosmetic dentistry. My personal experience with Dr. Chung is with my transition from veneers of 15 years to crowns. The results were beautiful. He actually heard my concerns, incorporated my requests along with his recommendations which resulted in a smile I couldn't have imagined before.. I now use Dr. Chung for all my dentistry needs because his office does it all. Routine teeth cleaning, x-rays, implants. He even makes his own veneers and crowns at his office. I live in Potomac where there are multiple dentist offices to choose from, but I am so happy I found him. He is well worth the drive. N.Margas of Potomac, MD

I absolutely love Dr. Chung and his staff! Everyone is so friendly! I just finished the last step in the dental implant process and it was great! Every step during the process was a breeze and Dr. Chung explained everything very thoroughly. I'm very impressed with the work that was performed! I'm so thankful Dr. Chung is my dentist! Dr. Chung is an outstanding dentist, his whole staff is very professional, caring and courteous. A great feature of his practice, is the fact that they make the crowns in house, thus saving the patient an extra visit. I highly recommend Dr. Chung and his team.
