Dr. Langworthy doesnt shy away from having a good time while in our dental office, but when it comes to someones dental care, shes very down to earth. An honor graduate from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, Dr. Langworthy has completed countless hours of continuing education over the years and invested in the latest, proven technology. She uses her expertise to consistently deliver high-quality care that is perfectly suited to someones needs, wants, and budget so that they never have to stress about going to the dentist again.

A dentist, mother, and music lover, Dr. Langworthy is many things, but for you, shes ready to be the person that completely changes the way you experience dentistry. Her passion for helping people is contagious, and her positive energy makes it easy for even nervous patients to relax and feel right at home in our dental office. She frequently fills our dental office with the sounds of her singing and humming, and behind her upbeat personality lies a highly-trained and skilled dentist who is ready to make your smile shine brighter than ever before.

Dr. Langworthy discovered her love for dentistry after volunteering at a NC Missions of Mercy Free Dental Clinic. She was particularly moved by the impact that dentistry could have on a patient, ranging from getting rid of horrible pain to transforming their smile in a way that instantly leads to more confidence and self-worth. Now, shes thrilled that she gets to provide this same type of life-changing care in her hometown for local families.

Dr. Langworthy earned a bachelors in health education and promotion from East Carolina University, and she was also given an honorary bachelors in fine arts (more on this below). She then enrolled in the North Carolina School of Dentistry, where she went on to graduate with honors. Her senior year, she was given the Monte G. Miska Award for Excellence in Prosthodontics (the aesthetic restoration and replacement of teeth).

Since leaving school, Dr. Langworthy has completed numerous hours of continuing education at highly respected institutions such as SPEAR Education, where she focused on facially generated treatment planning, and the Nash Institute Continuum, where she studied esthetic restorations in-depth. Some of her other focuses regarding continuing education include Invisalign and dental implants.

Between being a dentist, wife, business owner, and mother of two young children, Dr. Langworthy admits that she doesnt have much time for hobbies. She and her husband, Brandon, have been married since 2014, and they have two children, Braelyn and Ryland, as well as 4 rescue animals (2 dogs & 2 cats). She enjoys spending time with family, and on rare occasions catching up on SLEEP. Outside of dentistry, her biggest passion is music, and she is an accomplished singer who has appeared locally in many popular musicals. She says that each day in the dental office is like her own personal musical sing-a-long!

Missy has been a pillar at Langworthy Family Dentistry for 25 years. In fact, she joined the dental office shortly after it opened in 1994! She enjoys the lasting friendships she has made with our team and loves that everyone is like a family. She makes sure that each of our patients feel comfortable from the start and puts her heart and soul into our dental office to make it a friendly and welcoming place. Missy was born and raised in Fuquay-Varina. She and her husband, Tim, have been married since 1997, and they have two daughters, Taylor and Peyton, as well as a Goldendoodle named Whiskey. As a family, they enjoy boating at the lake, going to the beach, and cheering on the UNCW Seahawk softball team.

Allison joined us in 2009. She says that the team feels like a family, and she also loves getting to know our patients and building relationships with them. She always puts our patients first and goes above and beyond to help them feel comfortable throughout each step of the dental experience. In addition to being exceedingly friendly, she has also completed advanced training through Spear Education about maximizing our patients insurance benefits. Allison was born and raised in Goldsboro, NC and regularly returns to visit her parents, brother and sister-in-law, and 2 handsome nephews. She says that she is a total foodie who loves trying new cuisines, and her biggest passion outside of dentistry is to support the foster care of kittens in need until theyre able to find their forever homes.

Amber has been a part of Langworthy Family Dentistry since April of 2019. She deeply enjoys working with our awesome team and getting to know all of our amazing patients. She lived in Fuquay-Varina for 24 years, but recently moved to Dunn, NC when she married her husband, Seth, in September of 2019. They have a sweet baby boy named Sawyer who turned 1 in March 2021. When not at work, Amber likes going to the beach and spending time with friends and family.

Wendy is a 27-year dental veteran! She is a graduate of Palm Beach State College and is certified in extended duties in dental assisting, nitrous oxide, coronal polishing, and X-rays. She loves working with a team that has been together for so long that it feels like family, and she hopes our patients feel at home with us as well. Every day, she brings a positive attitude to our dental office and makes sure that our patients are comfortable and happy with their care. Wendy married in 2014 and has two stepsons as well as an adorable grandson. Outside of the dental office, she likes to travel, watch football, play with her grandson, hang out at the beach, and go to dinner with friends.

Mary was born and raised in the Cary area and moved to Fuquay-Varina in 2017 with her husband, Clint. She graduated from Appalachian State with a Bachelor of Psychology with a minor in Child Development. After taking a year off from school, she decided to go back for dental hygiene and graduated from Central Carolina Community College. She loves getting to meet new patients and not only educate them about their oral health, but also form long-lasting relationships with them.

Outside of work, she spends most of her time with family and friends, especially her niece and nephew that live here in Fuquay-Varina. She and her husband also love trying new restaurants, getting outdoors as much as possible, and relaxing with their 2 dogs and cat.

Betsy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the Medical College of Georgia in 1998 and moved to Fuquay-Varina in 2012. She joined our dental office in 2013, has 23 years of dental experience. She loves getting to know our patients and helping them achieve their optimal oral health.

When shes at home, Betsy is usually busy with her husband and two daughters and all of their activities, which include flying, volleyball, and cheer/tumble. She is active in her church, enjoys volunteering, and likes to spend her free time going to the beach, shopping, or cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs! Speaking of dogs, she has three Boykin Spaniels and a cat that keep her busy, too!

Courtney joined our dental office in January 2021 and says that the best part of her job is getting to know so many people in the community while brightening their smiles. She attended Savannah Technical College for her dental education and is originally from Middleton, NY.

Courtney and her husband have been married for seven years, and they never have a dull moment at home thanks to their 2 beautiful little girls and spunky Goldendoodle. When she isnt taking care of the kids or relaxing with her husband, she likes to travel and tackle home renovations.
