Dr. Martin T. Lang is a lifelong resident of Maryland. He grew up in West Baltimore and attended Mount Saint Joseph High School and Loyola College. He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dental Medicine and completed a Post-Doctoral program in Orthodontics at Georgetown University.
Dr. Lang practiced general dentistry in the Towson area, and then opened his Orthodontic practice in Lutherville, MD. He also sees patients in the second office he opened, in Ellicott City, Md. Dr. Lang has a special interest in sleep disordered breathing in addition to his specialty in orthodontics and is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), American Dental Association (ADA), American Sleep & Breathing Academy (ASBA), Howard County Dental Association (HCDA), Maryland Dental Association (MDA), and the Maryland Sleep Society (MSS).
He was a faculty member of the University of Maryland School of Dental Medicine in the post-graduate Orthodontic residency from 2003 to 2014. His son, Jonathan, joined his practice as an Orthodontist in 2009, and his other son, Matthew, is a chef, who is currently working in Philadelphia. Dr. Lang resides in Howard County with his wife, Beverly Lang, a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) who serves as the Executive Director of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland, Inc. In his spare moments, Dr. Lang enjoys family time, exercise, woodworking, gardening and watching the Orioles and Ravens (win or lose).
Dr. Jonathan Lang (Dr. Jon) attended Loyola High School in Towson, Md., and he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola College in 1998. He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dental Medicine in 2002 and then practiced general dentistry for five years before completing a post-doctoral residency in Orthodontics at the University of Colorado in Denver from 2007 to 2009.
He returned to Maryland to join Lang Orthodontics in partnership with his father, Martin T. Lang, DDS. Dr. Jon is Secretary for the Maryland State Dental Association Foundation. Dr. Jon enjoys mountain biking, running and snowboarding. He competed in the Leadville 100, a 100-mile mountain bike race at 10,000 feet in Leadville, Colorado in 2008 and 2009. Dr. Jon resides in Lutherville with his wife, Terri, their 6-year-old daughter and an Australian Shepherd.

The Invisalign system is a series of clear aligners each worn for a specific period of time that allow children, teens and adults to straighten their teeth without visible braces. Its often a preferred option for adults, whether they have always wanted to make improvements or if their teeth have shifted over time.
Who is a good candidate? Children and adults can be treated for underbite, overbite, protruding teeth, overcrowding, gaps between teeth and other conditions. We prefer to treat people with severe bite problems or skeletal asymmetry with traditional braces where we can fine-tune the alignment of each tooth and make adjustments to the treatment plan easily when needed.
Invisalign offers some major lifestyle advantages over traditional braces. For kids and teens who play sports, they dont have to worry about the damage to their mouths that can occur when hit by a ball or colliding with another player. Musicians can continue to play their instruments properly. The removable aligners also make it easier to brush thoroughly and floss.

In 2019, I completed my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Lang Sr. at Lang Orthodontics. I really appreciated the customer service, friendly faces, ability to be flexible to my ever changing schedule, and the extra time they took to make sure my teeth were beautiful. It's been almost four years since I last saw them but I can't thank them enough for the smile they gave me. I never thought I would be proud to smile. If you're worried about the time or price don't hesitate. They will work with you. It's definitely worth it for the first thing people see when they talk to you. I 100% will continue to recommend Lang Orthodontics. They made this process so much easier than I thought and I will forever be grateful.

We picked five stars because more wasn't an option. I cannot say enough good things about Doctors Lang and Lang. Our son has been a patient under their care and orthodontic treatment for the past few years. The front office staff is a beyond capable representation of how well the practice is run. They answered all our questions and provided all the billing information we needed to make informed decisions. Our son loved the care he received from Doctors Lang and Lang and their medical staff. They keep things lively and very upbeat while he was being seen for routine check ups and medical care. I appreciated their in depth and totally understandable medical explanations. The goody bag at the end of treatment was a welcome sight!!! Bottom line you and your child will love their attention to detail and their help getting you the best possible dental outcome. Now if they could just make house calls to ensure his compliance with the retainer!!!
