Dr. Gregory L. Lane is a Chicago native who graduated with a DDS from Northwestern University in 1984. Having practiced dentistry in Carol Stream since 1985, Dr. Lane actively participates in the Carol Stream community. He enjoys volunteering for Carol Stream Community School District 93 and also participates in a number of local organizations.
Dr. Lane embodies the mindset of the life-long learner. He participates in continuing dental education courses in order to stay in the know of all the latest dental methodologies, procedures, and culture. When hes not at the office, Dr. Lane can be found spending time with his wife, Jaclyn and their two grandchildren.
Following his graduation from Bartlett High School, Dr. Gregory D. Lane attended Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, where he graduated with Honors with a B.A. in Anthropology. Afterwards, Dr. Lane graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry.
Dr. Lane is not only a proud member of the American Dental Association and both the Illinois and Chicago Dental Societies, but he also serves as adjunct faculty at the Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, WI.
Some of Dr. Lanes favorite free time activities include passing the time with his family, particularly with his beloved wife, Dr. Lauren Price, being a foodie, and reading a good book. Dr. Lane excitedly joined his practice with his father, whom he views as both a teacher and role model in the dental profession.
Nicole started as a dental assistant right our of high school with no plan on advancing in the dental field. After a few years, she decided to climb the dental ladder and went on to receive her Associates in Applied Science: Dental Hygiene from Harper College. Now, shes been a hygienist for 3 years and was previously a dental assistant for 7, as well as, being CPR certified and a previous member of American Dental Hygienists Association.
Nicole enjoys the on on one relationships with her patients and helping the community to the best of her ability. When caring for patients, she feels attention to dental and a personable touch goes a long way.
The joy of taking care of people and making a difference in their smiles, led Dawn to the field of dentistry. As s graduate of the Dental Assistant program at Everest College, she has been able to follow this dream for nearly five years. Dawn prides herself in giving patients the most accurate information with treatment plans and insurance information. When not active in the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to country music, and going to concerts. Dawn also frequents her happy place the beach.
Alejandra graduated as a Dental Assistant on April, 2015 from College of DuPage. She also has certificates in coronal polishing and pit and fissure sealants. Alejandra has a passion for knowledge, and in the dental field there is a never ending supply to what you can learn. She takes those earned skills to provide outstanding care to patients and making their visit the very best experience.

I have always been terrified of the dentist and have never been a fan of going (even for cleanings). About 6/7 years ago, I switched over to Dr. Lane. The staff always puts me at ease and takes such great care of me (and my husband). I had terrible pain about a week ago that ended up being an emergency root canal...I was not happy to hear that! But Dr. Lane and his staff made the process pain-free and I'm feeling 100% better...I am so grateful and would highly recommend them!

I was very excited to find Lane Dentistry but my experiences were not happy ones. Both dentists refused to work on my teeth. Both were concerned about me losing my front tooth but would not put a filling on it. They kept sending me to have a root canal. It's been three years & I have a reputable dentist who put a filling in and my tooth looks and feels great & my tooth is healthy. I have not lost my front tooth but if I listened to Lane Dental, I would have. Please be concerned about this dental office. If they send you home without doing anything, there may be concern. I've tried to get answer from these two dentists & I am still waiting after so many years. Here is a photo of my beautiful from teeth that were NOT worked on by Lane Dental.

Dr Lane is very nice but I'm disappointed with their services. I had a tooth chipped and they wouldn't do anything about it. I was having pain on and off in between my gums by the same tooth. I went in and he gave me a referral to a specialist, which ended up not taking my insurance. The same tooth really cracked and chipped right down to the gums. So now I have a huge whole in my tooth. I called over the weekend and left a message. I called back Monday morning and was told they would call me back. I called backed a few hours later and was told their systems were down, ok I have no issues with that. Someone on the staff called me back and was completely rude to me. I told her what happened and she said it was a wisdom tooth and they can't do anything for me and that's why I was given a referral. Which when I was in for the pain dr lane never said it was a wisdom tooth. I called back about the referral and they gave me a new one, well once again they don't take my insurance. When I talked to someone else and I told her dr lane never said it was a wisdom tooth she replied that the last tooth on the end is a wisdom tooth. So I decided to get a second opinion and was told this tooth was NOT a wisdom tooth and that i had a huge cavity. They said I would need a root canal and a crown. They also said I need another crown on the top because the tooth and the filling is decaying. So now I'm stuck footing the bill even though I was seeing the dentist regularly and he told me everything was fine with my teeth. So now I have to find another dentist to fix my problems.

I've never had such a great experience at a dentist. I feel like you always walk into the dentist office and the hygienist does your cleaning right away and then the doctor flies in, swipes a mirror around your mouth for 20 seconds, says "yep looks good!" and runs out. This was not like that. The hygienist (I wish I could remember her name!!!) was an ANGEL and took the time at the beginning of the appointment to sit down and talk through my concerns with me and completely put me at ease. She was friendly and explained everything she was doing as she was doing it. I really cannot sing her praises enough. She helped me so much. I had the son as my dentist and he was just as great. Sat down and talked with me at the end of the appointment and just made suggestions and explained different things to me. Honestly I can't wait to go back every 6 months. Thank you!!!

I had a problem with finding a dentist that I was comfortable with until I found Dr. Lane. He is very patient, kind and does not try to talk you into getting any work done that you are not comfortable doing. You can tell that he really loves what he does and cares for his patients. My children also love going to the dentist now also because of Dr. Lane making them feel so comfortable! We are moving out of state and are going to miss this office and staff. If you are in need of a great dentist you will find it here!

These guys are the best. Super kind, very reasonable, and they take the pressure off. I hate going to the dentist...but this place always makes it easier. Totally awesome. I won't ever go anywhere else.

Dr. Lane is amazing! Very compassionate and knowledgeable. I was wound up and stressed at the beginning of this appointment because I'm preganant and thought I had a gum infection. Also, I had not been to the dentist in FIVE years. He took the time and gave me a through exam and answered all my questions! Wonderful dentist and will be going back. Go here for the dentists! I went back and forth with this but reception is awful. The blonde receptionist was flirting discussing mixed drinks and relationships with the client seen before me. I was visibly shaken because I was scared about my potential infection and frustrated but was not blatantly rude with them. I began asking if they got a note and was rudely interrupted by her. Blond receptionist is rude and No compassion! Happened to still be flirting as I left the appointment. When I came back because I was not given the correct form I was met with two rude receptionists. Must have discussed and collectively decided they dislike me. Not pleased with them at all. Coming back with my insurance card, I was unable to submit a claim through them and was given a complicated sheet to fill out and was told I would have to go directly through insurance because I was marked as a cash client. Receptionists aside, this place was top notch! Clean, thorough, and overall a very calm and pleasant environment.

I went to the same dentist for 20 years and he recently retired. I had some anxiety choosing and visiting a new dentist for the first time but I left Dr. Lane feeling like a million bucks! The experience was so seamless, customized, and simple. Everyone explained everything very well and in full detail. We already have treatment plans and appointments set up for the next year and I know exactly what I'll have to pay! Seriously 10/10 will be visiting this dentist until I die. And they had some big shoes to fill! I LOVED my dentist! But after this 1 visit, I no longer have anxiety over having to choose a new dentist... Dr. Lane is it!

3.9.18 today was our last day in our favorite dentist office because my wife and I are moving out of state, so sad we are forced to look for another dentist. If only we find a dentist 10% as good as Gregory Lane jr then it would be promising. Well we been coming to this office for 3yrs and have never ever found an honest, kind and very professional. All the staff are amazing front desk Dawn is super nice and everyone super friendly. Nicole the hygienist is awesome, very gentle and thorough with the cleaning. Gregory is very honest with all his recommendations regarding your treatment and if you do not need something done he will be honest unlike many dental offices would convince you to do root canal just to make money, he saves your teeth not Butcher it like other places specially Dental salon. He is very kind and pleasant and has magic hands. We will miss this office so much. Thank you for everything to the whole staff of Lane Dental.
