Dr. Tran graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. She earned honors in Patient Centered Care and multiple letters of commendation from her faculty for various courses. Dr. Tran gained invaluable experience working as a private practitioner in Las Vegas, Nevada as well as helping outat the local community clinic here in Santa Cruz. She believes strongly in continuing her education and has taken courses in many fields, includingesthetic dentistry and root canal therapy.Throughout her career she has been an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, the National Association for Professional Women, as well as her local dental societies.
Dr. Tran has strong ties to the Santa Cruz community. Prior to becoming a dentist, she received a Bachelor's of Science degree in biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. One of the many reasons she chose to become a dentist is that it is the perfect balance between science and art. She also truly enjoys being able to build strong, long-lasting relationships with her patients. When she is not practicing, she enjoystraveling andphotography...but most of all, she loves being a mom to two wonderfully energeticboys!
Prior to his career in dentistry, Dr. Weston received a Bachelor's of Arts degree in biology from Carleton Collge in Northfield, Minnesota and then spent several years conducting Hepatitis C research in an immunology laboratory in Portland, Oregon. When Dr. Weston is not practicing, he enjoys spending time with his family, sailing, camping, and traveling.
Dr. Young has been a part of the Landmark Dental Group story since the very beginning. In fact, he was already successful in his practice when Landmark launched. As an independent startup, the Landmark team moved into the office space of Dr. Young, sharing the same space but as two separate practices.
Over the years, Dr. Young has provided invaluable support and guidance to many members of the Landmark Dental Group team. In 2016, Landmark was proud to acquire Dr. Youngs practice and formally welcome him as an associate dentist who works with Dr. Weston and Dr. Tran. Dr. Young has enjoyed the chance to set management duties aside and focus exclusively on dentistry.
Dr. Young graduated from dental school at the University of Michigan and has practiced for more than 40 years getting started in 1974. He loves connecting with his patients, building strong relationships with them, and helping them improve their quality of life through dentistry.
He remains very active in both the profession and his community, including advisory roles in a number of dental groups, including the Dientes Community Clinic here in Santa Cruz. He contributes to the Monterey Bay Dental Society,is a member of the Academy of Cosmetic and Adhesive Dentistry, and is a devoted supporter o CASA -the organization of Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused or neglected children.
Outside of the office, you can often find Dr. Young sailing and enjoying the magnificent Santa Cruz environment. He loves sharing his outdoor adventures with his extended family: He raised two daughters and has four fantastic grandchildren!

I couldn't be happier with my experience! I'm slightly afraid of dentists, and Dr. Scott Weston made me feel at ease and comfortable immediately. It's very apparent he and his staff are dedicated to their work and care about the people they treat! They established a connection with my insurance immediately, and made a plan with me to maximize my coverage. I can't recommend Landmark Dental enough!

I am a professional Dental Patient, meaning, I have been going to various dentists for about 55 years. I can whole heartedly say that both Dr. Tran and Dr. Weston are some of the best Dentists in town. They are up to date with methods, equipment (low dose X-ray) and dental procedures. I have found both Dr. Tran & Dr. Weston to be very gentle and nurturing with my dental procedures. Their dentistry inteventions are performed with the highest regard, care and quality. If you are searching for a Dentist, I highly recommend Landmark Dental Group.

I was a patient for over 5 years. I have my teeth cleaned every year, but don't want X-ray every year. I am aware they must, for liability reasons, do one every two years. Each time I inform that I don't want the X-ray this time, they are not happy about losing the money I would have to pay for X-ray...so yesterday when I said no to the X-ray and they could not force me to have one, all of a sudden they wanted to charge me $50 for a missed appointment a month ago, after a night of throwing up from flu. I had a fever, but apparently I was still at fault for missing the appointment. I guess they would prefer I come in and expose everyone to the flu. This business is focused soley on making money, not caring for patients. I will find a new dentist.

Lucky me, for finding Landmark dental. The dentists and staff are exceptional. Everyone is very friendly and attentive to my needs and feelings. I have never had a pleasant experience in the dentist chair until I was cared for by Scott and Trang. Their training and knowledge in dentistry is top notch and they are knowledgable with the insurance responsibility and co- payment structure, which makes paying for services palitable. After some long overdue work on my teeth that stretched into a couple of years, I really enjoy returning to my landmark family for regular check ups.

Landmark Dental is an incredible practice all the way around. The staff is friendly, polite and the customer service is excellent. Dr. Weston completed a crown and multiple fillings for me. He was careful and took the time to get things right. He had a perfectionist attitude when it came to completing serious dental work and that is a huge plus. I have been to MANY dentists in my life and have had everything from fillings to root canals to crowns. Dr. Weston is the best dentist I've had yet.

My husband and I have been patients of both Trang and Scott for many years and we are very happy we found them. These two are dynamic and efficient, not to mention a joy to visit. Who says they enjoy going at the dentist?? I am glad to see them expand and grow with a team that is just as equally professional and diligent. Nice work Landmark Dental.

This office was recommended to me by a friend who said it was worth the drive from Seaside. She was right! I saw Dr. Weston who patiently listened to my ramblings about being afraid of the dentist. After reassuring me and making a game plan for treatment of my bad teeth, I had a root canal with no pain. This is the first office that I have not even felt the shots. With another root canal coming up and other restoration work in the future, I am looking forward to smiling with an open mouth. I love the staff as well as they are pleasant and always do follow up calls to see how you are doing.

Everyone in the office is amazing! they are all very compassionate, understanding, and will accommodate to your individual needs. I have never had a dental visit without tremendous amounts of anxiety. For the first time in my life I can say "I had a wonderful time going to the dentist". And I'm smiling a whole lot more! making quality of life much better for me. I definitely recommend landmark Dental Group wholeheartedly to everyone.

My husband first started using him and loved hime which was huge since he has a fear of dentists and is sleeping when work gets done. I switched myself and our 6 year old (at the time) to him and he is still the best years later. What a rare treat to have a husband and wife team that our of todays technology but still have the old school one on one care with their patients. It's been years since I've ever had a dentist actually sit with me and clean my teeth. They explain and show you anything of concern so you see for yourself. On top of the best patient care they are truly sweet and fun to hang out with! It's like a social visit with a bonus of clean teeth when you leave. My son loves going to the dentist when before he hated it to sterol of an environment now he see's the same person every time.

My husband and I have both been very happy with Landmark Dental Group. The office staff are always so nice and helpful. Dr. Weston is our dentist and he is so nice and really great with all of out dental needs! Also, they follow up with you after your visit to make sure everything is OK. They make you feel like you are part of a family.

As a 31 year old who had never had any dental work other than basic cleanings, I was terrified when I realized my impacted and infected wisdom tooth needed to come out of my head immediately. Lucky for me, Landmark Dental was able to squeeze me in for an emergency appointment and extract it that day (the day before New Year's Eve), something no other dental office in Santa Cruz I contacted would do. Dr. Tran knew I was terrified, having never received a dental injection. She hooked up the nitrous and was so extremely gentle, I didn't even know the tooth was out until she told me! It was, surprisingly, a painless experience, and her tip to use a moistened tea bag when I ran out of gauze, helped me heal very quickly. I've been back for an intense cleaning (as it had been a decade since I had been to the dentist) and by the very next day, my gums no longer bled when I flossed. I am so very happy with Dr. Tran and would highly recommend Landmark Dental to anyone. Additionally, I have never had to wait more than three minutes when I arrive for my appointments at Landmark Dental, which is rather different from other dental and doctor's office visits I have had in the past. All in all, an excellent experience.
