Dr. Lance Miller is a lifetime resident of the Northland. Having been raised in Platte Woods, he attended Park Hill High School and graduated in 1983. He then went to Nebraska Wesleyan University for his undergraduate degree and then returned to Kansas City to attend dental school at UMKC School of Dentistry, graduating in 1991. When deciding upon a career in health care, Dr. Miller was drawn to the artistic side of dentistry as he enjoyed working with his hands. He also enjoyed the family-like feel of a dental office that treated generations of families over time. After completing dental school, Dr. Miller worked in two practices for a few years before purchasing the practice of a longtime family friend and partial inspiration for his career choice, Dr. Bob Peterson, in 1993. He has remained in the location since.

Dr. Miller considers his practice an extension of his family. It is a place where the staff works together as a team to care for the patients in a manner that represents how they themselves would want to be taken care of. A balance of modern technology is combined with tried and true techniques to provide reliable, consistent care. Of course, a superb hygiene department helps patients maintain their teeth so the overall focus can remain on prevention. Dr. Miller is a member of the ADA, the MDA, the Clay Platte Dental Society and the University Study Club.

Dr. Miller and his wife Leslie have raised four daughters, two of whom are now married. They love spending time with all of them and especially their three grandchildren. Both Dr. Miller and his wife enjoy exercise, working outdoors around their property and traveling the world.

Lou started working in the dental field in 1986 as a certified dental assistant. She has worked with Dr. Miller for almost 30 years and has been the office manager for 25 years. Lous favorite part of her job is getting to know the wonderful patients she has met throughout her career. When Lou is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her husband Dan and daughter Hallie. She also loves to travel, mainly to the beach.

Michele is one of the skilled dental hygienists at Dr. Millers office. She has devoted her career to helping people maintain a healthy smile. Working with Dr. Miller for 20 years, she has a true passion for providing her patients with the optimal care they deserve. Her gentle and caring approach is obvious as each patients oral hygiene needs are met. Michele is great with people and cherishes the relationships she makes with her patients. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband Rick and son Logann. You will find Michele outdoors biking, walking, running or doing hot yoga in her free time.

Blair has been a dental assistant for 10 years, since graduating from Concorde Career College in 2009. This opportunity has fulfilled her childhood dreams. With patients being a very important part of her job, she helps them feel comfortable during their visits and ensures that they leave happy. In her downtime, she loves to spend time with her husband and children. They enjoy watching Chiefs games and exploring the outdoors as a family.
