As the mother of two growing children, I know what its like to do a million things at once! I have used this skill every day since I joined the Dental Field four years ago. I love that I get to use my experience and my compassion to help people both in the dental world and in daily life. Just like I want my kids to know that I am on their side, I also want my patients to know that I am on their side. I can get you in quickly if you have an emergency, or provide you with the many options we have when it comes to taking care of your teeth. People may think that a front desk receptionist at a dental office just answers the phone and checks out patients, but there is so much more to it! Not only am I one of the first staff members whom the patients come into contact, I also help them get the most out of their insurance benefits and to understand the treatment that the Doctor recommends.

Called to schedule the entire family our yearly dental appointments, since we'd not been seen since PRIOR to Covid (Yikes, I know). Took antibiotics prior to the cleaning, since the practice had insisted it was necessary given having metal in my ankle from a very long ago surgery. ...Drove the 45 minutes there (figured sticking to the same practice we'd been going to for a few years despite having had moved was easier than the hassle of changing dentists). The entire staff was different; not one familiar face. I hadmy X-Rays taken, and my daughters too when I'm told "Oh, by the way, we have no dental hygienist to clean your teeth." (Ummmmmmm....... What?) "Yeah, they left a year ago and we can't seem to hire anyone back since nobody wants to work, so..." Ummmmmmm....... So, my after it took nearly 2 hours to take 2 sets of xrays, and have the dentist do a 10 second "exam", we're informed that we'll simply be referred out to another practice that HAS a hygienist. My question: (Why, Why, WHY, would ANYone chose to make 2 separate trips? One for xrays and an exam, and yet another for a basic professional teeth cleaning? Speculative Answer: Because the practice is going under? They're working as pros getting people IN their doors, then scooting them out after having them sign release of information forms. They told us to FIND a hygienist, and let them know. They'd forward along our records (since they'd now be able to bill our insurance for everything but the cleaning...!) The kicker: After my daughter and I went through this bizarre experience (staff very confrontation, insisting I was informed of the circumstance when I called to schedule)... My husband insisted he get his permission to bill, etc paperwork back, and they REFUSED. He finally insisted they at least SHRED his paperwork in front of hum using a shredder in plain sight. This was only after the staff insisted his paperwork would be tossed into a large bin where a professional shredding staff would come to shred it at some point. Anyone else smell foul play? What the actual heck?

My wife had went here the other day with a dental emergency. She had seen there website that they accept walk-ins so she made sure she was there as soon as they opened. Once they did she was greeted by being told that they are not accepting walk-ins at this time. So it wouldn't make sense to change that on your website!!! Then after an hour of checking to see if they could fit her in and giving her the run around of having issues with our dental insurance they were able to see her which was great *we thought*..... only to be back the for 20 minutes to get x-rays and to be told they couldn't see anything and be referred to another place. So fast foward to 4 hrs later that day another place was able to get her in!!! Thank God cause she was in a crazy amount of pain. They take more x-rays and ten minutes later the dentist comes in a magically sees that she has an abcess on one tooth with an infection and a possible second one starting with two other issues. Another hour and the root canal was done and she was feeling 50 times better. I cannot stress how disgusted I was with this place. I truly feel they did what they could so they could bill my insurance for doing nothing. I would not even take my cat here after this experience. I truly hope no one in as much pain as my wife decides to go here because you will receive no help from the incompetent dentist that is here. Thank God that there is still other places around that are truly caring and were able to take care of my wife!!!

After I complained to the BBB the doctor sent me a letter dismissing me as patient. How illegal is that discrimination? The office treats welfare patients like animals, 0 respect. The office cancels appointments. Why is this office still on business after over 300 complaints of causing injuries to patients and engaging in discrimination, retaliation against the patients and violating HIPPA? I just saw their office admitting in this thread that some of the people who posted messages were their patients. THAT is ILLEGAL! You can't admit that people are your patients! Do we not have any enforcement agency to investigate those folks? People are complaining of getting injured by the doctors... why no one is investigating? Is this Stone Age?

The staff are always friendly, the wait time is usually acceptable. They just need to take the time to smooth down and polish fillings! Just more crevasses and rough spots where bacteria can hide, no clue why a dentist wouldn't finish his work... ()

I've been a patient at this office off and on for about a decade. Most recently, a crown that they made and attached came out. I called asking to be seen because when I've been there in the past, the dentist (who is solid - Dr. Lam gets a respectable 4 stars) said if there are any problems with what they've done, to come back in so they can address it without cost. Well in this case, the receptionist passed my call along to the office manager, "Sammy Jo" who was exceedingly contentious the entire time. She told me they couldn't "write off" the cost of fixing [what amounts to their mistake] because it had been more than a year since the crown was put in. She also said that the dr who put it in was no longer with the practice and something about the corporation hiring doctors as independent contractors as if that somehow excuses the practice from standing behind their work. So it seems like the doctors are getting taken for a ride too. I asked if they could reduce the cost of just looking at it. She said no that every office visit costs at least $90 no matter what they do. In my case, she said it was likely the dr would do a temporary build up until a replacement crown could be made/put in. She also recommended against using anything to hold the existing crown in place for fear of potential infection. So their office manager (not a medical professional) is giving medical advice. When I pointed out that she was giving medical advice and maybe that should come from a dr, she explained that he was doing a procedure and was unavailable and furthermore that their doctors don't talk to patients on the phone anyway (this was a pretty obvious coercion to get me to pay the $90 just to talk to the dr). When we were still on the phone several minutes later and she became more frustrated, the doctor magically became available AND able to talk on the phone. He gave similar advice which meant much more coming from someone who has the education to justify giving such advice. But I'd had enough of the games and contentiousness at this point, so I contacted a closer and far better rated dental practice. I should have listened to my wife about this place when she said years ago that she didn't like it. But I was too willing to ignore the general impatience of the non-medical staff and the worn equipment/finishes beyond the waiting room, which in retrospect seem to indicate a general unwillingness to treat their employees well. I have been seen here with private insurance and with no insurance whatsoever (self pay), but this practice does a lot of medicaid work and 'the corporation' seems to be padding their charges, to be unwilling to let any potential opportunity pass by that they can charge for, when other, better (a reference to their ratings/customer satisfaction) practices are not predatory in this way. I expect medicaid work makes up a large portion of their income. It seems both stereo-typically expected and offensive that they would use public money in such an opportunistic way. They should treat their patients better and treat their employees better. I suggest you do your research and find the best possible dentist for you. For me, Lancaster Dental Arts is permanently out of consideration.

Unfortunately I still go to this unorganized mess of a place. Receptionist and people at the front desk are rude and disrespectful. The dental assistants absolutely suck. Do not go here.

If I could give a 0 I would. After 3 days of messages and request for a callback regarding a denture plate for my mother, I finally get to speak with someone after threatening to show up at the office with a Live Facebook feed running. Only to be told they messed up the impression and waited 19 days to call and let anyone know. Which by then was too late, AS THEY WELL KNEW, since they had been informed of an upcoming surgical procedure which would not allow for a return visit afterwards. Impression taken July 8. Call made JULY 27. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE place. When I asked for dates, and then asked why so long between, all I got was backtracking and meaningless apologies. Needless to say I will dispute with insurance company about the bill AND I have retained a much better dental office to further handle this issue.

This is the worst office to deal with! I dropped off school dental form in Fall to be filled out for 2019. I was assured they would fax it to the school. Never done-several calls and months later, still never sent and now I'm being told the dentist will not sign form until he is seen again!!! AVOID THIS PRACTICE AND SAVE YOURSELF FROM INCOMPETENT CARE
