In early 2016 Dr. T came across this small and very charming dental office in the heart of Duarte ca. With so many great people and such a great location in this small city it was clear to him that this would be his new home office. Taking over an operating practice that had been running for over 30 years from a former doctor was no easy feat, however, Dr. T is excited to get to know his patients and give excellent care over the years to come.
He is very invested in his new home office and has updated all digital software, X-Rays and dental equipment in order to ensure that each and every one of his patients are provided with proper diagnosis as well as customized options and treatment plans. While providing patients with modern advancements in dental technology as well as materials he maintains a conservative take and strong belief in preventative dentistry. His mission is to help maintain a happy and healthy mouth as well as a beautiful smile through 'spotless' dentistry.
Dr. T graduated from the Institute of Dental Medicine in Rangoon, formal capital of Burma, now known as Myanmar in 1995. He went on to work as a journalist in Oslo, Norway for the Burma Democratic Revolution Radio (1998-2000) in support of Nobel Peace Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, present State Counselor of Myanmar. He received his license to practice in the state of California in 2007 and further continued his education at the UCLA School of Dentistry Continuing Dental Education in 2011 for Implants A to Z.
Dr. T has worked throughout Riverside, San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties from small private owned offices to managing large company offices. He is a husband, a father, a classic rock n roll enthusiast who enjoys playing the electric guitar and singing.

Dr. Thanga is the best dentist I have ever had! He and his staff are kind and professional, and they all know what they are doing - so rest assured that you are in good hands every step of the way, whether as a new or returning patient. There is little to no wait time each visit, and each experience is a welcoming one. Dr. Thanga is never judgmental, and I cannot imagine a problem he cannot fix. He is just down-to-earth and meets people where they are. Do not put off doing dental work, because Dr. Thanga shows you how easy it can be, and the longer you put it off the more work that will need to be done. However, he can do it all. He helped me so much after years of not seeing a dentist so that now I am cavity-free, only need to visit every six months, and feel completely secure in my dental health. He even tells me that I can eat anything! The pandemic has affected everyone, and, like everyone, this small dentist office was also affected but managed to keep its doors open. It truly is a hidden gem, inexpensive, and the best dental experience you will ever have. So, show your support and treat yourself to a world-class experience that you deserve - they have many options for very reasonable financing and are extremely flexible. Even after moving several miles away, I would not see any other dentist. He has my utmost respect and has truly transformed my understanding of how great dentistry can be. Professional, and courteous as always, and super clean, cleaned and dissenfecting pens as soon as you're done with them... haven't seen that at too many places... And of course the Dr Lal himself and his assistant both very sweet and kind.

Worst dentist I've ever been to. Dr.Lal Thanga was reek of Alcohol. I wont come back ever again. Claudia was very helpful.

Worst experience. I would look elsewhere if looking for a dentist, Dr. Thanga could hardly keep his eyes open. He seemed confused and was late. Won't be going back. The office secretary was amazing and helpful.

I had my 1 year old son, my wife and I treated at Dr. Thanga's office today. I had only one regret, how come I didn't find such a dentist years ago. Amazing office and customer service, knowledgeable dentist, very clean facility. On the scale of 1-10 they deserve 13. I highly recommend them to my family and friends.
