Dr. Oliver Sun grew up 40 miles southwest of London, England, in the small town of Guildford. He eventually moved to Toronto, Canada, where he attended high school and completed his undergraduate degree.
He moved to the United States to attend dental school in Cleveland, OH. He graduated 2nd in the class from the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in 2015. It was in dental school that he met his wife, a dentist and a native of Westlake, OH.
After practicing general dentistry for three years on the East Coast, and completing a six month mini-residency for esthetics and implant dentistry, Dr. Sun and Dr. Daoud moved back home, closer to friends and family in Ohio.
Dr. Sun is proficient in several areas of dentistry, such as cosmetic restorations, fillings, veneers, crowns, and bridges. Dr. Suns extensive training allows him to provide more complex procedures to our patients, such as root canals, oral surgery procedures, bone augmentation, gum surgery, Invisalign, as well as the surgical placement of implants and implant restorations.

The front office staff are very friendly and effective. The dental techs exhibit concern and empathy as they carry out their duties. Dr. Doude is a clear and direct communicator as she presents treatment plans and potential costs and also while working. "good job"

Still give Lakewood Smiles 5-!! When they texted me a reminder of my most recent appointment, I happened to be out of town (I totally forgot my 6 month was coming up). They were very accommodating in rescheduling my appointment the week after I returned. Great dentists! Great dental techs! Great staff! After nearly 30 years, they are still my favorite go-to Dentistry practice !!

When I had my cleaning today at Lakewood Smiles, I left, as I always do, with a smile. I was completely satisfied by the efficient way in which my hygienist cleaned my teeth; checking, as she did it, on specific areas in my mouth where there may have been a problem earlier; making sure I was following the doctor's advice on cleaning, brushing and flossing; and, in general making sure I was satisfied. On my way out, the very pleasant young lady checking me out arranged for my next appointment and sent me on my way with that smile of satisfaction! Thank you, Lakewood Smiles!
