I went in expecting an exam and referral for a tooth extraction. They ended up pulling the tooth out today. No referral or second visit. I'm so grateful. Dr Jessica and Rachel were awesome.

After today's visit, I do not intend to return to this office. I've been coming here for several years because Dr. Carlstrom, my dentist, was so wonderful. She took the time to understand my dental anxiety and the problems I've had with dentists and other offices in the past. Because Dr. Yoder and Dr. Carlstrom are phenomenal, I have recommended this office to everyone and anyone in search of a dentist. I was referred to an orthodontist for braces and underwent treatment with braces. My regular dentist was out on leave when I came in for a cleaning, and while she was gone, I saw a temporary dentist who was so rude and insulting. She made it appear as if I did not care about my oral health and advised me to remove my wires, return for an x-ray, and then reattach them. Now that is a lot to do, and trying to coordinate between two offices on going in to get my wires removed, then coming in for an x-ray, and then returning to get my wires reattached seemed like a lot, especially considering that I don't have a lot of flexibility with my job. Approximately two weeks ago, I completed my orthodontic treatment, and as my brackets were being removed, one of my crowns also fell off. The doctor was able to temporarily reattach it and advised me to see my dentist for further treatment options. Well, I called the office and spoke with Heidi in order to schedule a cleaning and have this temporary crown fix examined. I requested to see my dentist, Dr. Carlstrom, but was informed that she was so booked up that I would have to see the new dentist, which was fine. Today, I had my appointment at 7:00 a.m. The dentist was kind; she removed the crown and confirmed what I had already said, that there was nothing left to save. However, they could only give me an anesthetic for show, and I would see an oral surgeon to have the rest of the tooth extracted. Okay, fine, and that's it. This is the second time I've visited the office and had a terrible experience. I did not receive the cleaning I thought I was scheduled for, and I was extremely upset to leave today. Why would I come in to have my crown removed and then continue my day with a missing tooth? When I asked Tina what happened in my scheduling process because I called in to the office on 6/29, the day I got my braces off, to let the office know that the braces were off and that I would like to schedule a cleaning and explained to Heidi who took the call what happened with my crown, she informed me that my dentist was booked out and that I could see the new dentist who had an opening, which was fine because I needed the cleaning and the tooth examined. Tina's response to my question about what transpired today was that I called in due to tooth pain and needed my tooth examined. Okay, first of all, why would I report a toothache for a tooth without nerves? She was unable to explain this to me. So, yes, I had to waste an hour of my time today to come in and leave without a tooth, with no explanation as to what transpired, but we'll submit this visit to insurance? You removed a crown and provided me with a referral? I do not intend to return, and after the oral surgeon removes my tooth today, I plan on seeking a new dental practice.
