Maira attended Sam Houston State University, has been a dental assistant for 3 years, and enjoys working with kids. On her days away from the office she loves spending time with her family, and going shopping with her daughter.
Dr. Clark earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. As a dental student, Dr. Clark received the Pre-Doctoral Research Award and the Presidents Award for Excellence in Dental Research from the American Association for Dental Research National Student Research Group (AADR NSRG) for his scientific research. During dental school, Dr. Clark also participated in oral and maxillofacial surgery externships at Boston Medical Center, The University of Minnesota Medical Center Fairview & Riverside, and Indiana University.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Clark was accepted into the prestigious General Practice Residency program at the University of Utah Hospital & Clinics where he received advanced training and education in dental implant placement and restoration, oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, dental emergencies, and sedation.
Before his dental career, Dr. Clark graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience, and he obtained a Master of Arts in Medical Science from Boston University School of Medicine. During college, Dr. Clark worked as an Operating Room Orderly in a local hospital, and as a Patient Care Technician at a dialysis center.
Dr. Clarks broad background in science and medicine help him expand his focus beyond the mouth to treat each patient as a whole. Dr. Clark has a relaxing and warm demeanor and he enjoys taking time to explain to his patients why certain treatments may be needed, discussing treatment options and answering any questions they may have. Dr. Clark is passionate about dentistry and is a strong advocate of conservative, quality dental care.
Dr. Clarks gentle and skilled hands gained a remarkable reputation early in his career, both as a dental student and as a resident, which even prompted faculty and staff members to ask Dr. Clark to treat them and their families. Dr. Clark can often be heard saying that all patients, regardless of background, should be treated as if they were our own brother, sister, parent or child. This philosophy influences every aspect of Dr. Clarks practice.

I have been bringing my 4 children to this dentist for the last several years. Recently I brought in my son who had a cavity in between two teeth. I was told by a previous Pediatric dentist that it should be left alone unless it bothered him, but Dr Clark wanted to put a crown and fillings on those teeth. SO I took him back to the Pediatric dentist and she again advised to leave them alone. I also brought a daughter in who, I swear, every single time I brought her in he said she had cavities. The last time he claimed she needs silver teeth. I believed what he said. They would not allow me in the room with her when she was put under, which is already concerning to me but his assistant said all dentist have that rule, which I later found out was NOT true. This week my daughter broke her tooth. I again, first took her to the Pediatric Dentist and she said the tooth needed to be extracted but she could not get to her until November 30th so I brought her here. Before doing so I called and made the appointment and told them what the Pediatric Dentisttold me and let them know the tooth was broken all the way below the gum line and I asked them if they would be able to fix it and she kept saying I had to bring her in so he could look. I get there and he recommended a crown which is said he could not do. So they set that appointment up already knowing there was nothing that dentist could do. While looking at that tooth he told me there was a cavity in it which seemed strange considering I had her in there in June for a cleaning and there were no cavities, and the dentist I took her to 3 days prior didnt see any cavities either. So I went for a third opionion the very next day and the first thing that dentist said was "there is no cavities on this tooth so thats good" and he also said the tooth needed to be extracted. I really feel like this office has lied about all the cavities my children have had and I wish I would have gotten second opinions. I wont be going back to this office ever again

Ive had some ups and downs at this office. Dr. Clark is very nice and responsive if you are having a concern with your treatment and/or a problem with office staff.

I found Lakewood Dental Associates on google. I have to say it was THE BEST DECISION!! Dr.Clark, is the most caring and knowledgeable Dentist with the warmest smile. My experiences have been profound and he has a good blend of professional, theoretical and practical knowledge. He always makes me feel very comfortable with my dental visits. He prepped two crowns today and I didn't feel the needle one bit. He is so gentle and his assistant Myra is Amazing !! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Worse dental clinic I've dealt with, They have canceled my last three appointments. You schedule an appointment and they keep calling to reschedule. Apparently you as a customer have to rebook because they over scheduled or the are closing early.

I absolutely love Dr. Clark and his staff. They are all amazing. I had my cleaning this time with Tobi and she was fabulous. No one really "loves" to come to the dentist, but she was awesome and we are happy to come and see Dr. Clark and staff when it's time! We have moved farther away--but will gladly make the 1 1/2 drive to see him for our cleanings and dental work :-)

My daughter had a terrible experience having her wisdom teeth removed. I can not even describe how bad it was for her. Please think twice before having a dentist remove impacted teeth. We not only paid for extraction but several prescriptions of antibiotics, ct scan, blood work, and doctor visit. We also paid for an oral surgeon to open up the area again and remove the fragment of bone left behind. I'm very disappointed with the entire experience.

We love Lakewood Dental Associates!! It is a warm environment for the entire family. I would recommend the dental office to anyone who has kids or anyone. Thank you for your family and caring nature. Most dentist offices can be a little scary but from a child's point of view, my 3 kids enjoy coming to see the ladies and the dentist each time there is an appointment! Thank you so much!
