Before he ever studied to become a dentist, he was a certified nurse's aid so he could provide adequate care for his sister living with quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Now, Dr. Artino uses his passion for service to help people take care of their smiles. As the youngest of 6 children raised by a single father, Dr. Vinnie was the first in his family to graduate from high school. From an early age, he realized the importance of compassion and the value of exceptional clinical care through his role as a primary caregiver for his sister who had quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Dr. Vinnie demonstrated his dedication to excellence from a young age, as he worked hard to attain the title of top caddie at Lakewood Country Club for 7 consecutive years.
These combined experiences all before even starting college motivated Dr. Vinnie to pursue a profession where he could enhance the lives of others while still providing security and stability for his family. A pivotal moment came while Dr. Vinnie was in the Dominican Republic for a mission trip, where he realized the profound impact a smile can have on ones life.
Some people learn better in a classroom, others learn by doing. From a young age, Dr. Vinnie welcomed both. His life experiences taught him more than any textbook ever will, yet he realized the importance of a formal education and earned his bachelors degree in biology (with a minor in chemistry) from Regis University in Denver. That following summer included a mission trip and studying for the MCATs (entrance exams to medical school). After returning from the Dominican Republic, however, he had seen first hand the power of a smile and the joy of creating one. Dr. Vinnie knew that dentistry was his calling and promptly sent in his application to dental school.
Dr. Vinnie was fortunate to be accepted by the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, and he immediately embraced the challenge. He finished his clinical requirements early and used the time to expand his knowledge of fixed prosthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. He could not wait to apply this expertise and experience to the real world.
Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Vinnie earned his dental license and got to work. His family needed his financial support and there were loans to pay. Dr. Vinnie knew that there was no better way to learn than by fully immersing himself. For the next coupleof years, he worked 6 days per week in 3 different dental offices. During that time, he broadened his dental knowledge through hands-on experience and countless hours of continuing education courses in his limited spare time. Whether it be routine fillings or advanced training in orthodontics, dental implants, TMJ/Occlusion, etc., he has worked tirelessly to be able to help his patients achieve their dream smiles.
In 2017, Dr. Vinnie had the good fortune to partner with Dr. Steven Baumgart (the dad of one of his best friends) to associate and later take over this award-winning dental office. Since then, he has invested all of his time and knowledge into cultivating a practice in which he can provide patients from across the Denver-Lakewood area the best dental care.
When Dr. Vinnie, a self-proclaimed workaholic and continuing education fanatic, isnt at the dental office, he loves cheering on his New York Mets, Tennessee Titans, and fantasy football teams. He grew up playing baseball and football at Denver Christian/ Mullen High Schools, and still enjoys playing catch or participating in flag football. Dr. Vinnie, an extreme extrovert, also enjoys spending time doing pretty much anything outdoors or indoors so long as he gets to enjoy the company of family, friends and/or his girlfriend who is also a dentist. An avid animal lover, he and his girlfriend, Allison, have two dogs, a miniature pinscher named Titan and a Cavapoochon named Tucker.
After a conversation with Dr. Vinnie, youll find it evident that he lives every day to the fullest, and that his joy is fueled by improving the lives of others. He was born to care for others and his compassion, kindness and exceptional skill shine through his gentle and comforting hands. He aims to help you forget that you are even at a dental office and reminds you that every day is a day to live life smiling!

Kris has been working in the dental field for an impressive 30 years and counting! She got her start as an assistant and then rose up the ranks to our front office manager. Originally a West Coast girl, shes happy to now be settled here in Colorado. She and her husband have four kids and four grandkids. Her hobbies outside of work include reading, baking cookies, and playing a mean game of Texas Hold Em.
Adam is a new face on our team, but his love for making a positive impact on our patients quality of life makes him a perfect fit. He is originally from Marine on St. Croix, MN and attended college at the University of Minnesota. Outside the office, he enjoys cooking, reading, camping, hiking, skiing, and traveling. One interesting thing you may not know about Adam is that he once drove from NYC to Denver in less than 30 hours!
Originally from Pomfret, MD, Rachel studied at Allegany College of Maryland. Although she is relatively new to our team, she brings more than a decade of experience with her. When asked about her favorite part of her job, she shared that it is her amazing coworkers! In her free time, she enjoys snowboarding, camping, hiking, boating, fishing, horseback riding, hunting, and, of course, spending time with loved ones. One thing you may not know about her is that she made the move to Colorado all by herself amid a global pandemic too.
Taylor is originally from Arvada and is a New Years Eve baby! She studied at the University of Northern Colorado before joining our team one year ago. She loves expanding her knowledge and helping patients at our practice achieve pristine oral health and beautiful smiles. When she isnt at our office, she enjoys wake surfing and playing with her two dogs.
Alexandra (you can call her Alex!) attended the University of Minnesota before completing additional training under a periodontist. Today, she has more than four years of experience in the dental field and loves spending her days bringing smiles and laughter to patients while theyre in our office. As a Wisconsin native, she comes from a cheese-loving, warm-hearted, midwestern family. Outside of dentistry, her interests include going to live music shows, trying new restaurants, and hiking.
